It's compact. Just the right size for two people. Well, us two anyway.
It looks good.
It works well. Push the central plunger and you get a good old spin. No clutch-slip. The brake works well.
One small criticism, not worth dropping a whole star, is that the plunger-spin mechanism, built into the lid, pushes down into the bowl. You have to leave a gap in the centre of the bowl to make room for it.

First use, it was fine. But after cleaning i found it hard to put all the pieces back together. They DO NOT click in place. The rubber ring u place at the bottom, is too big and keeps slipping out when you put the jug in. Then, it leaks like mad - liquid flowing all over my kitchen and floor.
Poor product design - and yes i've followed the instuctions very clearly. I'm sending mine back!!!

Stylish product but too big to handle
I ordered this online while it was being sold in sale. And now I'm glad I didnt buy it full price. The idea of these attractive serving hands is quiet innovative but using them is inconvinient. They are too big to fit in your hands and don't give a good grip of the food. And if your guests don't know about this product, they'll keep wondering how to use it. Good for leafy salads only.7

the salad spins and the spinner stands
I have owned my oxo - good grips spinner for a few years now (bought it in a littke kitchen shop in Madagascar - it was their only one and they received it by mistake) and I think it is the best. (I have had a few spinners in my day)1. it is easy to use- you pump on the button and it works (anyone every have one of those spinners that you have to spin in the air by a cord? horrible) much easier to use than a cord spinner or a lever/knob spinner -where you have to rotate the lever/knob around
2. it stays put while it spins- others seem to dance around the counter, but this one has a little rubber traction ring on the bowl- lending it a"good grip"
3.nice brake, to stop the spin and to keep the"spin button" collapsed down for storage
4. easy to store- I sandwhich between my other bowls and the lid is to the side
5. very easy to clean
