Ordered the T210 last Thursday afternoon and was surprised to have it delivered on Friday morning, first class service there from the supplier. Early tests show it works well but my car is a Kia Ceed and fitted to the visor, I couldn't see the unit as it was more or less above my head. Also the visor is very thick and the clip didn't go on too well. However, I have fitted it on top of the pullout ashtray, which I don't otherwise use, at the moment fitted with Velcro and this seems to be a good position for it. It's easy to see and reach the buttons, far easier and safer than above my head and it works just as well there as anywhere else. Nice kit, glad I don't need to use the earpiece anymore!

Brilliant product

I thought that I would try this as a friend recommended it to me. I am so glad I brought this one as it was so easy to set up and tune in, all three preset frequencies done in under five minutes, it is very clear, works brilliantly, highly recommended.

"Nokia" charger

I had exactly the same prolem. The charger is NOT a Nokia despite saying it was and showing a Nokia charger, and mine does not charge either!

The best gadget ever!

I love this product!! I was really unsure about how good it would be - i thought that the description of what the Venturi does was over-the-top, but it really does deliver.

It is a doddle to install & very easy to connect to the phone via Bluetooth. The sound quality is very good when playing music - there is only a small amount of interference on the frequency i have selected, and this is mostly inaudible when mixed in with the normal sounds of driving... even more so when driving at high speed.

Taking & making phone calls is also very simple. The sound comes through the car speakers very clearly & i have been told by my friends that they can hear me just as clearly, even though the Venturi is nearer the passenger side than the driver's side, due to the positioning of my 12v socket.

This is the first review i have ever written about something i have bought online. I am just so chuffed that i can now listen to my music collection whilst on the move i wanted to let everyone else know!!

BUY THIS GADGET!! You'll love it.

RAC 200 GPS UNIT

WHEN I RECIEVED RAC 200 IT LOOKED IMPRESSIVE AND THOUGHT IT WOULD BE JUST WANT I WAS LOOKING FOR, BUT AFTER USING IT A COUPLE OF TIMES I DISCOVERED THAT THE BATTERY INDICATOR WAS NOT WORKING AS IT SHOULD SHOWING A FULL BATTERY AND NO INDICATION THAT THE BATTERY WAS IN NEED OF RECHARGING.
THE UNIT JUST FADED AND SWITCH OUT, LEAVING ME LOST!!
WHY SHOULD YOU NEED TO HAVE THIS UNIT ON CONSTANT CHARGE 24/7 TO BE ABLE TO USE IT?
AS FOR THE FREE DOWNLOADS UNABLE TO FIND OUT WHERE AND HOW TO GET THEM???????????

while not a brand i'd really heard of i bought this as they were relativaly cheap. I'm glad i did as they are in fact 2500mAh not just 2300 as written - this just means the batteries have a larger capacity for storing"energy". Using the provided charger takes only 3 hours 30 mins to fully charge. The charger has a small light. if it's red it means batteries are charging; green they're charged. You can either charge 4 batteries or 2 batteries at a time, you can't do 1 or 3.
the charger has 2 seperate attatchments. the first lets it plug into the wall to charge and the other lets it plug into the car. This is highly useful for anyone using any devices that use aa or aaa on the move as these sizes can be quickly charged - but only appropriate rechargable batteries (ni-mh is the one that comes with it and most common type of rechargable and works fine)
overall this is a good little package, well worth buying. reduces waste on getting lots of normal batteries as they can be re-used and a lot more convenient.

Southwing Handsfree Car Kit

Really very pleased with this product. Nice attractive slim unit and easy to set up and use. I have found the sound quality good, although, as yet, I have not tried it out on the motorway or on faster roads where road noise would be higher. Great value and I would say better than using an earpiece. Going to buy another for my partner.

is it for nano or classic???

if anyone has bought this is it actually compatible with the ipod classic 80g because the box says nano and the comment from the manufacturer keeps referring to the nano not the classic and the covers on the photo look more like nano than classic size. if anyone knows could u let me know coz i dont wanna order it and have to send it back

Fantastic!

I live in North Norfolk and use these transmitters with my IPAQ, iPod nano, Sony CD Player and Nokia N95

Pros: Looks brilliant, sleek and smooth design. Annoying ring is a mild buzz!

Cons: Can't use it unless you're in the car (unless you have cigarette chargers in your house...) Can't adjust the volume using the iPod though, you have to turn the actual stereo down, but you can do this on anything plugged in by the 3.5 mm

IN THE BOX:

You get the actual device with one lead for the cigarette car charger, and one for the adaptors (iPod and 3.5 mm headphone) these are permenantly connected

LOOKS:

Sleek, smooth and black. Looks smart if you like. The paint rubs off the buttons easily though. Super bright screen which displays the frequency or the setting (500, 501, 502 etc up to 509)

ROBUST:

Seems good, no breakages yet. Feels sturdy as well. the wires are thick so unlikely to snap or break

SOUNDS:

Sounds great! My only problem sound wise is that you can't adjust the volume using the device, you have to use the radio, which is ok but I've got used to being able to quickly make it quieten when I needed it to. You can do this with the 3.5 mm socket though... a slight design hitch?

BATTERY:

Very quick charge through this device to the iPod. My only problem with the battery life is that you can't run it without being plugged into a car. I use mine in my room and at work, which obviously are two places where I don't have cigarette chargers!

EXTRA FEATURES:

The charge of the iPod is the only one, which works fantastically. Its also optional so you don't over charge the iPod, brilliant

THE ANNOYING IN CAR WHISTLE:

...is actually more of a low buzz with this, and easily drowned out. Result!

CONCLUSION:

Worth the money if you are only planning to use it in the car, if you want to use it at home, or work its impossible. Good screen and easy to use/set up. Plays through all of my devices fantastically. Definitely recommend.

Fails shortly after purchase

Had 3 of these (2 replaced because they kept failing).
I was using static in a cradle with the headphones connected in the bottom. And the sound for the headphones would only work for about 1-2 weeks before cutting out to about 1 channel and then nothing at all.
I didn't even move the connector in this time. The charger still worked but the audio connection failed. (3 times)!

Parrot 3200 LS

Parrot 3200 LS, Just fitted this what a great peace of kit sound though the speakers are very good cuts the sound of the radio as soon as a call comes in and when you want to make a call and great sound at the other end.
Just fitted this unit to my Wife's V W Beetle which is a 03 plate the Parrot 3200 LS iso leads are the only ones you will need.

Good quality but poor wiring

While the quality of sound produced was good, this item only lasted from June 07 to January 08 before the wiring gave out completely all of a sudden. Apart from loosely wrapping the cable around the MP3 player and putting in my bag every day while at work there was no other wear and tear on it. Besides I used to do exactly the same with my previous convertor (Sony A9) and it lasted a year and a half before it had the same problem. The wiring always seemed thin and flimsy so no surprise. Im going for the Sony A9 again instead now.
