Almost get's it Right!!
I bought the item hoping to use it in the car and not have to purchase a replacement Car Hifi. At first the item seemed a great idea, but let me down with Sound Quality. There is a permanent hissing noise when using in the car.Even though they recommend that the volume is turned down on the mp3 device this didn't help, it just meant that I could not hear the Music at all.
A good idea, but could do with improving the quality.

Not Compatible with ipod Touch
Although this item is shown by Amazon as being bundled with an ipod Touch it does not have an insert for a Touch in the holder, the Touch therefore does not sit snuggly in the holder and could rattle/get damaged, additionally the home button is slightly obscured by the holder.Shame it is being sold bundled with a Touch (which promoted me to buy it) as iLuv on the packaging do not list it as compatible with a Touch!

Only a couple of minor points (1) the connection blocks on the wiring loom fit into the original ones poorly and are therefore tempermental and needed securing with a cable tie but once locked together no problem, (2) the sticky pads to attach the display holder and wireless control are next to useless, try superglue!
Overall a great system which is very effective in use and I have no problem recomending it.

Updated version brilliant!
When I first installed the Parrot MK6100 the wireless control did not work after another faulty replacement and discussions with Parrot I was sent a newly updated system (software update I persume!) and once installed this works perfectly. Straight forward controls and very easy to use. Screen is easy to read although for personal preference an option for display colours would be better.Only a couple of minor points (1) the connection blocks on the wiring loom fit into the original ones poorly and are therefore tempermental and needed securing with a cable tie but once locked together no problem, (2) the sticky pads to attach the display holder and wireless control are next to useless, try superglue!
Overall a great system which is very effective in use and I have no problem recomending it.

Don't buy this! Freeze machine!
I received the RK8200 yesterday and already I am very disappointed by the product. Althought it is easy to install, the concept is great and the functionality is fantastic, as others have reported the build quality is very mediocre. The key problem with the product is that it crashes/freezes continuously. In my case it works for about 5 to 10 minutes and then it will freeze during operation of the unit. I have installed the latest software update 1.01a but no improvement.My strong advice: Don't buy!

I had the exact same experience as the other reviewer - the thing disintegrated even before I had got it working. Worse still it's put the power socket out of action. The Kensington FM Transmitter I bought from Amazon instead works a treat, but for now I'll have plug it in to the socket in the boot!95

iPod headset
A good bit of kit. I had a Sony set already but was fed up with the Aux lead getting in the way - I have a high mounting in the dashboard. Bought this as it has a dedicated iPod lead and am very happy. The sound and features are as good as you wouldexpect from a Sony product. The iPod management system takes a bit of getting used to, but is easy once you are familiar with the controls. the odd thing is the normal screen in the iPod is replaced and youdon't get the usual visuals. It is easier to push the buttons on the headset than it is to scroll whilst driving - but I imagine that any passengers wanting to search the iPod will be frustrated - well just unplug, select and reconnect...96

No sound??
The cd/mp3 player is great which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. Unfortunately the car kit is completely hopeless. I have tried it in two different car stereos and neither work, if you turn the sound on the player fully up and the sound on the tape deck fully up then you can just about make out what song is playing, but it isn't easy. It's a shame because the sound quality on the player was fantastic using a good pair of headphones, it's just the car kit DOES NOT WORK. Be warned.97

Top Class Seller and Top Class Gadget
I bought this and was a bit unsure as it seemed too cheap! Mad , I know. I had a new Ipod Shuffle but wanted to play it on my car stereo and I wanted to play the soundtrack of movies off my laptop over the house speakers and also the music I had downloaded too. This turned out to be the best little gadget ever! Easy to use, really easy in fact, and easy to keep charged, it charges itself from the cigarette lighter or from the USB while you are using it as both attachments come with it!! The sound is crystal clear , and it saves me having all those discs in the car and it means I do not end up listening to the same CD for weeks on end, lol!! The Royal Mail let me down and lost the first one sent out, I told the guys at Tecknet and I had a replacement the very next day! Service does not get better than that. Buy one, you will wonder how you managed to get this far without one. Kenny
