Be Wary

Check if your mobile has A2DP capability for playing MP3 files via bluetooth before buying. Nice piece of kit but not bluetooth compatable with many mobiles notably SE K750I which I have.Plays MP3 files if a physical link is made with provided cable & suitable output cable from phone.Nice sound & the voice dialing function is useful

Bargain Sound!

Well I actually bought these thinking that they would be ok for someone that wanted better sound than original on a bargain and wow did I get just that!

These speakers were an absolute doddle to fit with all screws, attachments, etc were included which was a bonus.

After fitting I thought I would test them out and they are really good. I think if you wired these upto an amp the sound would be even better too!

I was going to get the 3-way Sont ones but had read that having so many 'Ways' in such a small speaker would destoy the sound somewhat.

I would definately recommend these to anyone on a budget!

Great, but flawed

I purchased this headunit mainly for the USB capabilities, to then find that they are vastly flawed.

For example, you take your USB stick, and upload some albums onto it. One folder for begins with the letter"S" and the other begins with the letter"V". If, two days later you want to upload an album beginning with"S" you'll be forgiven for thinking it is simple. For when you transfer the"S" folder over, this gets placed at the end of the list as the headunit sorts the folder list via time and date as opposed to character!

This means if wish to keep your folder-hierarchy in alphabetical order therefore making it easy to search your MP3s you have to transfer all the files over to your computer that are on the USB stick. Then add the one folder to this list, and re-transfer everything over...a very time consuming task if you are using an 8GB USB flash drive!

You can probably get around it by creating folders labelled A-Z, and then only re-transferring the artists that you are effecting into these folders, but you shouldn't have to!

It is such a shame, as it is a very beautiful unit, CD player works perfectly, radio is crystal clear, the multi-function wheel makes it easy to change radio station/tracks while you keep your eyes on the road, the USB load up time is great, and would in all respects be worth 4.5/5 or 5/5, but for the very obvious design flaw that they've let creep in I've had to knock off 2 stars.

Good Value

Actually I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could, but 4 is fair...
It's great value, and you can never go far wrong with a Sony. The stereo gives nice sound and doesn't seem unnecessarily complicated, like so many others are today. Fitting was a breeze - a straight swap with the Clarion that was in the vehicle. The front aux for the iPod connection was a must, and it works well.
The speakers weren't as impressive as I'd hoped, although the sound is perfectly adequate, just a little too 'boomy' for my liking - easily adjusted on the stereo equaliser though.
And the fact the the speakers come without the grill covers is very odd in my opinion - are they supposed to have them??

All in all a good value package if you're looking for a low-price upgrade, to a top-brand stereo that an iPod can be used with.

A pair of sony exploders delivered for under £25 ,you cant go wrong .Great value for money with sonys quality build for in car.Well worth the money
