One day it froze and had to take the battery out to reset it, but that only happened the once.
Then I started getting the feeling that the battery did not last as long as it should. After a year and a bit, out of warranty, the sound quality was awful. I bought new headphones but that did not work, so I had a player with a serious internal fault out of warranty. Not much for realiability.
I am going to go down the ipod route now. Will keep you posted!

I got the Zen after much wondering and comparing with other players, and at first it worked a treat. The software was easy to use and the settings and usability were great.One day it froze and had to take the battery out to reset it, but that only happened the once.

Poor product
The microphone simply doesn't work. It's meant to be a 'noise cancelling' design but it's more of a sound cancelling design. I could only get it to register any input by blowing hard into it; it didn't pick up anything at all when speaking at a normal level. This has been recorded in other reviews of this product so please fix the microphone Creative.Creative products are normally good. I own their Gigaworks T-40 speakers which are great. These aren't. Excellent speakers - but may need to count them
These are excellent speakers, fantastic sound, very stylish and really easy to install. The speakers have more power than most people will ever need, and are well shielded, so they can stand near the PC. Two minor points - I have a Realtek sound card, and I had to tell it there were 8 speakers, not 6, in order to get the rear speakers to play (more an issue with my card, than the speakers, but I offer this as advice to anyone wondering why they aren't getting the full surround sound). The point which knocks a star off is that the cables on the rear speakers are too short so extension cables are necessary if you want to run cables around the edge of the room and not across the floor95

Appalling customer service from Creative
The MP3 player itself is great, although the software that comes with it is not as good as with previous models. But the earphones are of a poor quality, mine broke after one month's useage. I had done nothing to cause the breakage, I have only used my MP3 player whilst walking around and sitting at my desk, but it seems the earphones are manufactured to such a low standard that this proved too much for them. The cable snapped at the base, exposing the wires within. Creative refused to take any responsibility for the fault, refused to replace the earphones despite them only being a month old, and also inferred that I had broken them myself. They basically accused me of lying to try to get a replacement pair, and were so unbelievably obtuse and unhelpful that I rapidly lost my patience with them.My advice is that this product is great while it's working, but don't expect any help or support from Creative if anything goes wrong.

I thought that the system was broken, but unplugged the x-thing, and the speakers sounded normal. Plugged the x-thing in again, and the speakers went back to sounding broken.
I don't know if this is because I've set it up wrong, but it seems to be set up correctly. Plus, you don't notice that much of an improvement.
I'm sending it back. There's no point to be honest, the z2300's are a perfect speaker set-up anyway, and this just seems to ruin it.

The Creative Travelsound 200 are a great litte set of speakers. Compact but giving a great sound, simple to use with just one cable to connect your media. They provide a decent bass sound for such a small set. Battery life seems ok, I’ve been using them for several hrs a day for the past 10 days and they’re still going. Rechargables are the way to get round this. Great value for the traveller who needs to travel light.
