Beware....if you're thinking of buying this product that there are no vista drivers available for it and there never will be. A memory card can be used but if I'd known I probably would have opted for a different one.63

Review for Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W12 Digital Camera [5MP 3xOptical]&:
Anyway back to the camera......The photos are great, with lots of flash modes, and settings that need experimenting with first, but hey, just delete and try your photo a different way.
The 5.1 meg pics realy are good quality, and will easily blow up to A4. I am also well impressed with being able to take some great little movie clips (with sound)
Get yourself a 256mb memory stick and you will be clicking and saving loads of pics at high resolution with movies.
I borrowed a digital from a friend and was dissapointed with the battery life. You will have no problem with these, and two spare!!
I've had the camera for seven months now, so I'm not reviewing something without realy trying it.
Since I bought this Sony bought out higher megapixle cameras, (W17) but I think this is a high enough spec for anyone.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!

The best camera I have ever owned
This is my first digital camera. I thought long and hard about which type and model to buy. the W12 came highly recommended in a camera magazine, but I thought I couldn't afford to buy it. Amazons price beat all others, so I was ready to buy it - then I got it as a birthday prezzy anyway.Anyway back to the camera......The photos are great, with lots of flash modes, and settings that need experimenting with first, but hey, just delete and try your photo a different way.

Great
Had this camera for about a year now and am really impressed. Its ideal for nights out or the odd snap at home. Has some really great features like b&w, sepia and negative and have had no problems with the camera at all. For the price I think it must be the best value around.66

Kodak CX750
The picture, sound and video clips were of a high quality. It’s a shame that just after two weeks of receiving this camera, the mode dail became difficult to turn. We sent it back in for repairs. The after care service was excellent, but when I checked the mode dail again (after it was repaired), it was hard to turn it again. Excellent quality pictures, but useless if you can’t use the mode dail - my cheap no-name-brand digital camera lasted longer than the Kodak one.68

Good camera but lived too short a life!
I bought this camera 2 years ago and it died on me last week. I always treated it well and kept it ina carrying case but it started telling me new batteries were empty and turning itself off and then finally the zoom broke and wouldn't come out, rendering the camera useless. However it was a good little camera for the two years that i had it for, i just wished it had a longer lifetime. I won't be buying Fuji again.69

Do not buy
Looking to buy my first digital camera I did my research and finally decided to buy the Coolpix L3. Price was my first consideration as I only wanted to spend approx £100 and also I wanted a camera that was easy to use. Well thats the only two good things about this camera. If you want to take a picture of flower or nice scenic shot then its perfect but if you want to take a picture of a child, pet or anything that is likely to move then DO NOT buy this camera. The shutter speed is so slow you could go and put the kettle on waiting for it, also the auto-focus seems to take for ever when you are trying to get the kids to pose for a photo.Although this camera is easy to use, not too many fancy features, I am afraid I find it very frustrating and would not recommend it unless you only want to snap away at still-life!!

The camera arrived in good packaging. I was surprised how cute it was, the colour is a divine hot pink! There were no faults, so the delivery proved to be a success. In the box i found many things, including a usb plug and a plug that can connect to the television- so you can view your pictures on bigscreen!I found that the camera takes better pictures when on flash and under a good light.

Review for Minox DCC-Leica M 3 5,0 MP:
You have to read the instructions carefully to get better images than are delivered with default settings, particularly EV+ for use in low light, which considerably extend s the range of use.
One problem that I can't get round (and the dealer I spoke to can't either) is that when you switch on with an SD card inserted (which is pretty essential when using maximum image quality), the egg timer shows on the LCD and continues to do so until you get bored and turn off.
As a Leica user, I'm glad I have one, but it's a collector's novelty, not recommended as a user's only camera.

A flawed masterpiece
This is a beutifully made item: the quality of the metal moulding is exquisite, but the neoprene flap that covers the USB connector is flimsily connected. Unlike earlier offerings from Minox, there's no lens cap available and the fitted leather case for the earlier models won't fit since this model is slightly larger. You have to read the instructions carefully to get better images than are delivered with default settings, particularly EV+ for use in low light, which considerably extend s the range of use.

Review for Nikon COOLPIX 5400 Digital Camera [5MP 4xOptical]:
The 5400 looked to be the ideal candidate - all the reviews rave over the excellent wide angle (28mm equiv) lens. And it would allow me to take full control of exposures when I needed to.
It performed faultlessly. The semi-automatic Program mode was perfect for most scenarios, but it was the night-time shots that were the real gems. With full manual control long exposures were simple. The wide-angle lens captured huge swaths of the sky. And the image quality was astounding. The final results were good enough to win Picture of the Month in Astronomy Now magazine! Not bad for somebody who'd never touched anything more than the shutter release on a camera before.

Great for those moving up from point 'n' shoot.
I've owned several simple point 'n' shoot digicams over the years and decided that it was time I moved up to a camera that let me take control when I wanted to. An Xmas trip to Iceland - with the chance of seeing (and photographing) the Northern Lights was the impetus I needed. The 5400 looked to be the ideal candidate - all the reviews rave over the excellent wide angle (28mm equiv) lens. Review for Konica Minolta Dimage Z5 Digital Camera [5MP, 12x Optical] 2.0" LCD , Antishake ,Silver:
This camera has some very nice functionality, but in nearly every situation the image quality disappoints.
The Anti-shake system seems to have no affect whatsoever. Even with a very steady hand and in bright daylight conditions, all pictures taken at the maximum 12X zoom are blurred. This is even more evident when shooting in low light situations. Having thoroughly tested the zoom, I think it is safe to say that anything over 6X zoom or above will result in a blurred image.
When shooting anywhere except in bright sunlight, for example indoors or at night, the amount of noise visible in every shot makes this camera completely unusable. Even in bright conditions, the noise is very visible and all pics tend to be grainy and in dark areas of the image noise is still evident. All pics are over-soft and require sharpening in Photoshop (or similar) afterwards.
When shooting indoors or at night, the flash does not provide enough light to properly expose the image. You will notice that all picture taken in these conditions are underexposed, grainy (noise) and either out of focus or blurred.
Having now taken several thousand pictures with this camera in nearly all photographic situations, here is an approximate guide to the results:
40% of pictures completely unusable
40% of pictures unsatisfactory
20% of pictures acceptable (nearly always taken in bright sunlight with no zoom)
0% of picture completely satisfactory
I would not recommend that anyone buys the Konica Minolta Dimage Z5 as you will be disappointed with the results.

Review for Kodak, P850 Digital Camera [5MP, 12x optical]:
The big question you need to ask is do you need the RAW/hot shoe facility, because if you dont, then I would recommend the Kodak Z612, which is faster, lighter, and is generally more advanced (the LCD and EVF are also better), although very slightly more expensive at the moment
This P550 is a very good camera and I recommend it, I really like the interface and the joystick control is excellent, and it takes great pictures, but only buy one if you really need all the features as the Z612 is brilliant
This model has really been upstaged by the faster member of the P series the P712, so dont pay too much (certainly less than a P712)
But all in all this is another good Kodak, I am pleased with this versatile shooter.....but I prefer the Z612

Review for Casio EX-Z57 Digital Camera [5Mp, 3x Optical, 2.7" LCD]:
I was sold on the Casio by it's solid feel, the size of it's screen and the ease and positioning of the controls and by it's size and shape, it fitted comfortably into my hand and also my pocket.
Since I got it in February I seldom go out the house without it in my pocket. I bought a 256 SD card at the time and have found it more than adequate for general use.
It's fast to boot up, easy to use, the results are excellent and there is plenty of battery life. All in all I'm delighted with it and now wonder how I managed without.

Review for Nikon Coolpix P2 Digital Camera with built in Wireless [5MP, 3 x Optical Zoom]:
I have also bought a ByteStor 1GB High-Speed SD Card 80X @ £39.95 for this P2. I charged the enclosed Li-ion battery EN-EL8 for about 2 hours – it was fully charged and my P2 was ready to shoot. I have taken about 80 pictures and my P2 is response and fast. Quality of pictures is good.
Coolpix P2 has built-in Wifi support for both IEEE 802.11b/g. It took about 15 minutes to setup a P2P (Ad-hoc mode) connection between my P2 and my laptop – just follow the Quick Guide. The connection on my laptop is called “ A Misc Network ” . It took about 6 minutes to transfer 60 pictures (116MB in total) from my P2 to my laptop.
This Coolpix replaces my faulty Canon PowerShot S45. It has developed the “ E04 ” error (related to the lens) – it will cost £160.00 for repair at least. I was very disappointed with S45. Therefore, I have changed from Canon to Nikon.
And I will recommend Nikon Coolpix P2 for anyone who is interested at reasonable price and good performance. I give P2 and Amazon five stars.

Looks the part... thats about it
As my title says im hardly 100% impressed with the camera. Yeah it dooe look fantastic and its small enough to just slip into your pocket on a night out. It's also as durable as if it were a solid lump of metal, absolutely cracking... course the problem with these little cameras are evident.. No manual setting to speak of (dont be fooled by the fact that it is officially manualfocus - it's pathetic) means that in any sort of changing light, when the light which the camera accepts prior to the shot isnt the same as the actual shot, the shot comes out blurry. so as for a 'perfect night out companion' you may aswell take a 3:99 disposable... And tripods are basically a no-go with the camera as the attatchment is on the dock, and not the camera, and therefore is a little sloppy.Saying all that, when ythe cam does take a focussed shot it is very good. (oh and dont forget theres no lens cap/cover...)

Great camera for this price?!
This is a versatile camera for what it can do and the size, this was a great purchase for the price I paid. Both automatic and manual use is great, I've enjoyed the quality of images I've got from it. Choosing the size of images/pixels is also something I've found useful.
The ability to record short film clips on the camera is also great and the quality considering is really good.
I've taken some great photos and short movie clips with this camera, I'm pretty impressed.
I recommend this camera to novice photographers, art & design enthusiasts, and general keen snappers such as travellers or journal keepers.
