On holiday snorkelling around a coral reef, I decided that it was the appropriate time for me to use the waterproof feature. With my heart racing and ensuring there was no way the camera would fall out my hand to the bottom of the sea, I started to take some photos. They were absolutely incredible and so clear. All worries about the waterproof feature being an exaggeration were out the window.
This camera was definitely a good buy and I can't wait until my next venture taking photos underwater.

Underwater Fun
Being new to the world of digital cameras meant that the process of buying my camera was long winded. A superb digital camera
I bought this camera for my 26 year old son who has a learning disability and he had no trouble taking a very good picture at a local wildlife park straightaway. The image quality is excellent and it is quite easy to use, though you have to be careful not to overuse the digital display or the batteries will run down quickly. It has a comprehensive manual, computer software and connecting leads for a PC or TV. We have even taken short video clips. I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a first camera at a reasonable price.104

Wow, really surprised with size, features ......etc.
I just received my first digital camera today from amazon.co.uk, superb little silver angel, amazing in every thing the moment i open the parcel wow extremely easy way of charging just keep it on the cradle thats it!!! user frriendly even no need to consult the manual, within minutes i was aware almost 90% about the camera features, excellent quality of pictues(i tried almost all the settings and each time getting very nice result)..... highly recommended for people mainly concern for point and shot digital camera. i am glad to do business with amazon they are great in handling any sort of complain just contact customer support and you will be really impressed for quality of service they provide..... Excellent compact camera
This camera is perfect if you want a good camera for landscapes and holiday pictures, and the Macro function is also brilliant, and I have taken many good insect photographs. For the price it is as good as any of the top makes - if not better. It takes recharghable AA batterys and it has a nice grip.It is well worth the money, and it is easy to use as well as portable and light. Definetly one the best Digital compact cameras on the market!

Difficult peice of equipment
Do not touch this with a barge pole; I have struggled to use this model. There is a time lag every time you want to take a picture with flash, and by the time you click the object is out of the picture (specially not reccomended for parents with kids). The lens is also not a Carl Zeiss so pictures are average quality.119

Doesn’t cut
This is my second Pentax Optio, the earlier one being the S330 (bought in late 2002). The older camera had slow shutter timing and poor results with low-light conditions but I was generally happy with what I got for the price. As I was toying with my Xmas present this year, it became obvious that Pentax didn’t do much to improve those issues over the three years. Having said that, the 6.0 megapixels provide impressive results if the light is good and some features, such as the super-macro, function quite well. I can’t agree with the comments about battery life: I use rechargeable NiMH batteries (1700 mAh) and manage to get more than a hundred shots and some videos before recharging again. Overall, I wouldn’t say that the S60 should be avoided but I’d probably think twice if it was for me to buy.120

Great Camera - But Susceptible To Canon's E18 Error
My partner and I have been using this camera for just under 2 years. The camera itself warrants a 5-star rating: it's a great compromise between point-and-click and DSLR. There's plenty of room for you to fiddle with it's manual settings. The movies are ok quality. Having looked at other similar camera's I would say the LCD screen is a bit small, and it's autofocus is crap in for extreme close-ups. It is quite bulky, and sometime I wished we had a little pocket-sized camera - but as I've said we wanted something DSLR-like but without the price - and that's what this camera is.However, after two years use and a lot of travel -- but no ABUSE (its been looked after) -- we've encountered the infamous canon E18 error (http://www.e18error.com/) and the lens is stuck out, and we can't use the camera. This is enough to put me off buying a Canon digital in the future, and something you should be wary of if you are looking at buying a Canon camera.
