a lovely little camera with very easy set up and use,the picture quality is very good, however, please buy a good case to carry it in, as in less than a month of ownership the lcd screen cracked while in my back pocket rendering a nice camera to scrap BEWARE!45
Review for Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T9 Digital Camera [6MP, 3x Optical Zoom] - Black:
i got the black one and it's awesome.
i don't really need 6mp, but i tried a few shots and i could zoom in and read car number plates that were 100's of yards away, that i couldn't see with the naked eye...
i'm only realy interested in basic"vga" or 1mp shots..."party shots" as i call them...but when you take wildlife or pictures of flowers in 6mp, they look awesome.
great build quality, great products, DAM Sony should pay me for this!
recommended, as is amazon...

Best Budget Compact
As a owner off 3 DSLR's and someone who is a bit picky when it comes to the quality of my imges, i have to say i can't fault this camera really. It's image quality is as good, if not better at times than my Canon 30D. My only advice would be to play with the EV settings as the auto mode does overexpose alot. I bought mine in a well known high street shop, but they have now discontinued this model and the cheapest place to get one is through Amazon. Buy this camera with confidence.47

Review for Fuji Finepix Z5fd Digital Camera - Silver (6MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.5" LCD:
I am not a pro photographer by any chance but I do love my fuji camera(s). My first one was an E550 which is an excellent thing and certainly very impressed with the quality of picture and it's easiness of usage. I was so impressed with Fuji - I had a look at Pentax and Olympus and with the exception of a Canon (it's too dear!), that I decided to get another Fuji. I am not into taking super-duper photo (and if I do I would be looking to spend more than 200 quid + accesories) so this tiny thing would suffice. I wanted a camera which is small to slip into my bag unnoticeable which takes good quality pictures and easily rechargeable.
I got this camera for about a week now and truly am impressed with the quality produced for such a small thing. It's no suprise it won the TIPA 2007 Award for Best Ultra Compact Digital camera.
I won't pretend to know whát's what about digital photography. But I know what's a good picture and what's a bad picture. By golly, it takes superb pictures!
My sole purpose of getting this camera are:
decent quality picture (tick)
small size (tick),
easy interface on the camera (tick)
reasonable battery lifespan (tick)
easily rechargeable (tick)
straightforward connection via USB to the computer minus the software programming and easily transferable (quadraple tick!)
light and compact (tick)
huge LCD screen (tick)
protected lens (tick)
price (double tick)
user-friendly (tick)
On top of that this little thing also offer face detection intelligent (which works!!) and intelligent flash system which makes the picture looks fantastic as if in natural light without making things look as if there's a bright being focusing on the object! (ok perhaps I have left the digital scene for a long time as most camera in this range probably offer the same thing!)
So, the aim of this camera originally was for girlies who are out clubbing so that they can slip it in their handbag whilst going out truly achieve it's purpose and definitley more. Certainly I would recommend this product if you, like me, looking for the above needs.
To fully utilise the camera potential, I would suggest reading the manual from cover to cover and try and test as I don't think you will fully unlocked it's potential if you just click and go even though it presents itself that way. Do check the fuji website so you can have a look and compare the photos this thing takes - you'll be amazed as it's not just a pretty face!
Enjoy!
A few reminders: It uses an XD memory card which goes up to 2GB and not the standard SD cards so you may need to get a different memory card if you were to purchase the camera. I could use my XD in E550 in this camera with no problems. If you have bigger hands, just be carefuly with the lens as it is placed on the far top left corner which can easily be obscured by a finger. On a lower/less light, the image may be grainier looking on the LCD (but nothing wrong when transferred to the computer) but that's common with most cameras and has no effect to picture quality.

Neat little thing
My advice to the reviewer below was to read the manual properly. The on button is also the play button - so you can turn the camera on for display without actually needing to slide the case.I am not a pro photographer by any chance but I do love my fuji camera(s). Review for Canon EOS 300D Digital SLR Camera Lens Kit [6MP, EF18-55mm]:
The camera works fine with a Canon EF35-80 and Tokina ATX400mm, but there are problems with a Sigma APO 75-300mm lens. The camera throws an Error 99 with this lens when used with M, Av or Tv (for example) and the zoom range is restricted to above about 110mm with the P setting. It is reported elsewhere that Sigma don't pay a licence fee to Canon to make the lenses so they have to reverse engineer and this means there are compatibility issues when older lenses are used with newer cameras. Older lenses by the likes of Tamron and Tokina may have similar issues, and it seems that zooms have greatest problems. So something to look out for if you want to use your old EOS lenses.
Still gets 5* because the camera's not to blame for the lens problems.

Great Camera, but beware older lenses anyone still got them
As everyone has already posted, this is a fantastic camera and I bought it, after using digital compacts (Olympus C40 and 720), to make use of the EOS lenses I had from my film days. Can't add anything that hasn't been commented on already, apart from lens issues. The camera works fine with a Canon EF35-80 and Tokina ATX400mm, but there are problems with a Sigma APO 75-300mm lens. Sony DSC-S600 Digital Camera 6MP
I bought this for my father as his first digital. I was a very nice camera and worked fine with good pictures for about 6 months. Then it developed the format error, apparently a known fault. It would work intermittently. The Clearance Bargain Centre (Argos) refunded and we bought a Panasonic Lumix which is so far so good. It doesn't feel as nice as the Sony as it is a bit small for me but at least it works. I just hope my father likes it as much as the Sony.57

Excellent Camera
I've had this camera for some time now..never had any problems with it. The picture quality is fantastic, the macro function with zoom is my favourite. Also, I like taking some landscape photos under varying light conditions and the camera is able to capture as it is, which is fantastic. I have even managed to click on a slow moving train without any glass reflection. This is definitely an excellent buy if you like photography, the only downside is its size as it is a little bulkier to carry around.59
Review for Kodak C663 Digital Camera [6mp, 3x optical zoom]:
- This camera takes great pictures
- Simple to operate
- Battery life is very good
Cons :
- Movie mode is problematic to say the least. Movie is recorded OK on the camera, when you transfer it (in quicktime format) you have no end of problems as this camera does not conform completly to the quicktime standard. The upshot the movie freezes and stops and loses sync.

Review for Canon Powershot S3 IS Digital Camera[6MP 12 X Optical]:
In auto I love the ability to flip down the flash to force a slightly long shutter speed in the heat of taking nigh time shots. Many people complain about the lens cap falling off... I think it is a feature of the camera enabling it to fall off when you extend the lens for use.
I am happy with it.

Review for Canon Powershot S3 IS Digital Camera[6MP 12 X Optical]:
Very good pics but some usability issues
Early reviews claim you can not use more than a 2GB SD cards well you can because I use a 4GB card. The camera is pretty good and I went on safari with it and a 2x tele lens that was needed to frame the photo on animals without having to crop in post production as the 12x optical zoom was not enough. The major flaw with this camera is that it is all too easy to accidentally change the ISO from Auto to Hi ruining many of my early photographs with Elephants... damn I hate ISO and I was not happy at all because I had done this before. Another problem is the fiddly manual focusing especially in Macro mode. Yet another was it had problem with light... for example in a very sunny shot it either over saturated the light or made the dark area very dark... this is unlike my Canon Ixus but I have a feeling this is user error and i need to read the manual. In video mode I had a few lines on areas of fast moving fire.In auto I love the ability to flip down the flash to force a slightly long shutter speed in the heat of taking nigh time shots. fuji finepix f610 digital camera
I got this camera at a bargain price and it has been the best compact digital camera I have owned. I have even had some pictures exhibited that I took with this little gem... It has many settings to play around with but just stick it on auto and point and click and you're laughing. The battery doesnt last too long if you use the lcd display screen and not the view finder, so a spare battery is a useful addition. The size and weight of the camera body were perfect for me, it's small but solid and I wasnt worried that it would break in my bag or anything. Having said that I have just dropped my f610 on the floor (my own fault) and now need to buy a new one... i'll be buying the same camera again though!
