I thought his was very cheap and bought it without realising it was not Olympus, but a version. Anyway it works as it should, focusing and taking the picture and is considerably cheaper than the official accessory. It is pretty much a requirement if you intend to take shots in poor lighting or when steadiness is a necessity with the E520, for which I bought it, as it does not have a cable release screwthread. You can buy with confidence and don't be put off by the chinese instructions: just plug it in at the back and it is ready to go.86

This outfit (Deluxe Digital) appears to take your money, then order from the States. You get an email saying it's been shipped and then wait five to seven days for delivery. Also my customs label said Nylon Case value $9.49, so if customs had opened guess who would have paid!I won't be using them again.
