Review for Canon - Lens - 50 mm - f/1.4 USM - Canon EF:
The focusing speed is slower than the 24-105L which is expected, but I'm surprised that it beats the EF 100 2.8 Macro which has a ring USM.
F1.4 is very handy, and on this lens, results are very useable/acceptable. As reviews/forum discussions suggest, you will see halos and purple fringing at f1.4. This occasionally happens to me depending on subject. It gradually decreases as you step down a bit and at F2, the halo is gone.
Image sharpness wise, I can say that this lens is very sharp!
Build quality is good, better than the kit lens. Its comparable to my EF 100 f2.8 Macro. The scary bit about this lens is the extending front element (but it doesn't rotate) when it focuses, It looks like this is a weak spot of the 50 1.4, I bought a lens hood to protect it.

A Lens That Makes Me Smile!
I just bought this lens a few days ago to compliment my 24-105L and Ef 100 f2.8 Macro. The focusing speed is slower than the 24-105L which is expected, but I'm surprised that it beats the EF 100 2.8 Macro which has a ring USM.

Review for Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4.0-5.6 IS USM Lens:
The only downpoint I have found to be associated with this lens is that you have to buy the unique hood seperately and from a seperate seller (meaning that you cannot expect it all to arrive at the same time/get super saver delivery included) whilst also at additional cost, althouh it is well worth the extra money as it is not only very effective but also helps you, to a certain extent, to forget that three hundred and fifty odd pounds on a new lens, plus however much more for a new filter has just been spent!
Be aware, the lens is a lot larger than the standard zoom so ensure that you have checked it will fit into your kit bag whilst attached to the body before purchasing one!
I now have a super-quality, reliable, fast and accurate focusing lens just in time for Christmas, which will hopefully last for years to come!
Please note: This lens will not work with full-body sensors becasue it is"efs" rather than"ef" (i.e. if you have a Canon eos 5D, 1D/s Mark 2/3 etc. the lens will not work) - a point to bear in mind if you think you will ever consider upgrading (although you could just use the upgrade as a second body to your existing camera and set of lenses; if you can afford it!)

Review for Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4.0-5.6 IS USM Lens:
Superb
Despite it arriving late (due to the delivery company rather than Amazon directly), it was certainly worth the wait. The pictures I have captured already are superb considering they have all been taken indoors so far and definately out-perform the standard 18-55mm lens you now get with the eos 400D (the body I am currently using). I have waited a year to buy a replacement for my handy 17-55mm, looking around at all the different options but am glad I stuck with this one! The 17-55mm USM looks too large for my likeing and the cheapest L series version is far too expensive for my budget to allow (even if it is only around £100 more!) However, after reading several magazine reviews I came to learn that this lens is the best all-rounder and cheapest out of the three. Perfect. The Ultra Sonic Motor (USM) is excellant compared to my rather clumsy non-USM 75-300mm zoom lens, which I bought earlier on in the year, and the focusing system has only let me down on the one occasion when experimenting in a very dark hallway (which is to be expected). The IS is astounding and makes a huge difference to your images, meaning that 1/60secs is no longer the most sensible setting for handheld shots!

Review for Canon Flash Speedlite Wireless Remote Transmitter ST-E2:
It has a rake of options on the back including being able to set the ratio of slave flash groups you're controlling with the device. There are 4 channels available and it can sync with high shutter speeds too at the press of a button.
Now onto the bad stuff which is mainly the price. £135 for this is robbery!!! It's very useful yes but when mine arrived I thought I had ordered the wrong thing because it was so small! However, aside from remote triggering of compatible speedlites it can throw out an infra-red focus assist beam which is useful on cameras like the 5D with no built in flash or assist beam so can maybe find a little use outside of the obvious. If it was £85 fair enough but as it is it's overpriced. It also uses a 2CR5 battery which is annoying because I can't use my rechargeable AA's.
If you want remote release for flashes there's probably not much choice and it does work perfectly so it is still recommended.

Very useful - lost a star for the ridiculous price
The ST-E2 transmitter is a great way of getting your speedlite flash off-camera and opening up other photographic possibilities. It has a rake of options on the back including being able to set the ratio of slave flash groups you're controlling with the device. There are 4 channels available and it can sync with high shutter speeds too at the press of a button.

Review for Canon ES-62 Lens Hood with Hood Adapter Ring 62-L:

Review for Canon ES-62 Lens Hood with Hood Adapter Ring 62-L:
Odd - but still very useful
The first reviewer, explaining the"odd" design, almost put me off, but I took a chance and bought this hood. It's better than OK, and if I lost it, I would certainly buy a replacement. I do agree with the first reviewer - if I were designing a hood, it would not be like this, BUT IT DOES WORK and it also looks quite normal. I leave the metal adaptor ring permantly screwed into the lens. The original lens cap just clips into the adaptor as it has the same internal diameter as the lens itself. When stored in my camera bag, the plastic hood can clipped in back to front so that the whole unit is compact. When removing the hood and then clipping it in the right way round, it probably takes just half a second longer than the more conventional bayonet fitting.I was going to award this 4 stars because of the unusual design, but as there is no competition and it does the job, I decided to up this to 5 stars.

Review for Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Lens:
Only downsize is the lack of a hood as commented previously and if you want to use a UV filter you need a slim one wich add to the cost. And if you want a polariser it's even worse.

Review for Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Lens:
A great wide angle lens
I own this lens since a month now and I can only say"waouh..." I've never use so wide a lens before (28mm was the lowest I've used before) but it's a revelation. I corroborate previous comments, the lens is sharp at all apertures, there is almost no barrel distorsion even at 10mm wide open. It was perfect for snow pictures a couple of weeks ago.Only downsize is the lack of a hood as commented previously and if you want to use a UV filter you need a slim one wich add to the cost. And if you want a polariser it's even worse.

Review for Manfrotto Basic Pan Tilt Head W/Qck Lock:
Great pan head for the price
I have been using this pan head with a Manfrotto MN-055 PROB tripod for about a year and I am very pleased with it. The build quality is great and it still handles like new. Panning in all directions is pretty smooth and the handles have really nice grips. The only problem is when tightening the pan head there is a small amount of movement meaning that precise locating in changing situations can be difficult but for the price this is a small issue. It is quite a heavy piece of equipment but this gives the pan head its stability. I often use the pan head with a nikon D80 and Sigma 50-500mm lens, which is a heavy combination but there is no movement in any of the bearings and the pan head feels rock solid. In conclusion, a great product at a great price that deserves a high quality tripod so highly recommended.33
Review for Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0 L USM Lens:
The focus can be set to 3m to infinity or 1.2m to infinity. The shorter length is very good for close ups of flowers or similar. If its left on 1.2m it may hunt when trying to focus. You can also set to manual focus.
One issue with the lens is back focus, if you are shooting at something when there is a bright, or high-contrast background, you may find the camera has focussed on the background.
I use my 70-200 f4 on an EOS20D, I have taken thousands of shots with that combination, photogrphing; cricket, riding, birds, flowers, people, aircraft and stars. Other than the minor issue of back focus, I have had trouble free shooting. The lens is well worth getting.

The ef 70-200/f4 is a fabulous lens. It’s very sharp, has good depth of field at f4 and is a joy to use.The focus can be set to 3m to infinity or 1.2m to infinity. Review for Hoya UV G-Serie 52:
A bit too delicate?
It's tempting to go for the cheapest filter when all you want to do is protect your lens with a clear piece of glass, but mine shattered when I put my camera bag on the floor a bit too heavily, leaving tiny grains of glass all over the lens. It's hard to tell whether the filter was too delicate or I was too clumsy, but I'm going to spend a bit more this time.36

Review for Sigma AF18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC Optical Stabilizer Lens for Selected Canon Digital SLR Only:
Very impressed with the build quality and has a zoom lock to stop zoom creep altho i don,t think it will happen as zoom quite stiff which brings me to the only negative i can think of ,the zoom is rather stiff hoping it will loosen up a bit but the positive is no zoom creep at all and any angle unlike the Nikon version.
I,ve tested the optics compared to the lens i have at the moment which is the Nikon 18-55mm VR and 55-200mm VR lens, the long end is MUCH sharper then the Nikon 55-200mm VR and provides better contrast as well and at the wide end compares very well to the Nikon 18-55mm VR lens.
Really not that heavy bearing in mind what it covers and seems well balanced either on my D300 or D40.
HSM focusing is quite and quick even in gloomy light and i know that some people are concerned at how slow at the long end the lens is but ive had no problems focusing quickly enough in most conditions.
Summary lens is a complete bargain and you won,t go wrong buying it, build is superb and optical performance very impressive indeed.
Focusing is nice and quick altho the OS is quite noisy esp compared to Nikon VR.

Does not fit the Canon Powershot G9
I agree with the previous reviewer. I was disappointed with this item. It is not designed specifically for the G9, it is a generic 3.0 inch screen protector. It does fit the actual LCD screen but it does not extend to the whole of the plastic screen on the back of the camera, so the overall effect is not very aesthetic.Plus it doesn't stick very well and is easily peeled off.
It is however pretty scratch resistant and very simple to apply, bubbles are easily removed, but I cannot recommend it for this camera.
