Great Multimeter

I'm only giving this multimeter 4 stars
because it only comes with 2 leads, but no grabbers.
But, there are many things I like about it and I would
recommend it.

Solar Battery Charger 12V

This particular unit comes with both"cigar lighter" type plug and crocodile clips and a generous 9ft of cable which allows for easy installation in most vehicles, or in a shed window for charging low voltage power tools. A pre-drilled hole at each end of the casing means it can easily be secured in position either with screws or a piece of cord / bungey.
I have had one of these on my car for several years and am absolutely delighted with it. Because of the nature of my work I stop and start the car several times in the course of a day and seldom make any journeys of more than a mile or so. However thanks to this neat little panel, which sits on the top of the dashboard, I never have a problem with flat batteries, even in winter when there is so much less daylight. It even charges a bit under the flourescent lights in the multi-storey car park! I have used one to recharge a car battery to power a laptop in a remote location (with separate power laptop power adapter). With an output voltage of up to 17.5V at 1.5w in full sunlight (even in the UK) it would probably work ok to charge a 16v laptop battery without any further power adapters.
The only downsides - although the outer case is made of strong abs plastic, the photovotaic panel itself is made of glass and so it may not be robust enough to take backpacking or similar. Also I don't know how waterproof it would be so might not be suitable for use in an exposed situation, such as a boat, unless installed inside a cabin window. For marine use the crocodile clips and plus connectors would be better made of brass rather than chromed steel. Nevertheless this is a great little unit for the very modest price.

Professional performance for amateur price

I use one of these at work and the balance, speed/torque performance is superb and up to everything you'd expect from a professional 12v drill. We reckon DeWalt is the"Rolls Royce". This one is an ideal weight for work combining drilling and driving. Let's face it, if you are doing a lot of large diameter holes in masonry and no screwdriving you would get an 18v hammer version, however this sort would be too heavy for general stuff.
Beware though of overcharging the batteries. This shortens the life and they are not cheap. Switch off the charger when the light stops flashing but follow the instructions for the occasional"maintenance charge".

great tool

I have had my Isio since the early summer, it is the perfect tool for light trimming. Its so easy to use that i tend to cut my hedge weekly this also suits the Isio as its not as powerfull as my mains powered trimmer.
only down side is the position of the on button that is a little uncomfortable when in use

Very convenient

This is a very easy to use product complete with a built in light. You simply set the required pressure and it whirrs away and cuts off automatically when the right pressure is reached. The only downside is all these types of products are quite noisy and aren't exactly pocket sized - but I think this is a best of breed.

good sprayer with adjustable spray pattern

I bought this to spray my loft limbers with a micro emulsion pesticide and fungicide which was water based.
It proved to be very very effective and much easier to use than an electric sprayer.
The top is funnel shaped allowing for easy filling and the large handle doubles as the pump which is quite large so it's easy to pressurise.
It also comes with a shoulder strap to enable you to walk around with it easily.
The pressure vessel is very robust and should last many years.
All in all a very good sprayer which performs as good as my dads `other' make one that cost over twice as much.

Difficult to fault

It's strange, all the things we consider unimportant. After all, isn't a torch a torch?

This one is so simple yet so robust and functional. Very tough and turned on/off and focused by rotating the lens end of the unit. The batteries last well due to the small yet bright-for- the-size bulb (spare included in end cap). In addition to focusing, the torch features a 'candle mode': unscrew the lens end completely, turn it glass downwards and insert the base of the torch into it -- and the exposed bulb gives a small but reasonable general lighting effect. Probably also quite good for candle-lit suppers in a mobile home/caravan, not that I've ever tried it.

Bearing in mind that this is a rather small torch working on two small batteries (i.e. not a floodlight), it is a reliable friend whose simple yet impressive functionality is elegance itself. If you're looking for something small to keep on your person, or stow in a car or caravan, or indeed use as a small inspection torch thanks to the adjustable focus, you'll be delighted. It's a pleasure to use, and it's surprising that there's so much good to find in a mere little torch.

Excellent!

I've had mine for a year now. Used it in a cave in Cuba, in the garage, on various holidays or just walking home in the dark. It's solid, very bright and fits in your hand easily. An excellent buy at under £20 as a 3watt torch would cost around £45.

As to reliability mine is, and has been fine, but like all torches, if the battery contacts don't spring out enough it may become unreliable, so if yours doesn't work, try bending the spring in the cap out a little.

Great device - it could save your life

I bought one of these recently. It comes in a clear plastic blister pack with instructions, screws, mounting bracket and batteries. Out of the pack it looks just like a smoke detector, and is fitted the same way. It took a couple of minutes to install. It goes on the wall, held by two screws. You mount the bracket on the wall, and then slot the detector into it. The device can be reremoved easily if necessary, though the battery compartment is on the front panel. I fitted mine at the top of the staircase.

Just like a smoke detector, it has test and reset buttons. The green light flashes every 30 seconds so you know it is working. It is not intrusive at all.

Just as I would not live in a house without a smoke detector, I would not be without a CO detector.

Grassbox Issue

I have given this mower 3 Stars because I am giving it the benefit of the
doubt on its grass-cutting performance, which I have not yet been able to
assess because I am still trying to assemble the grassbox!
This thing comes in three sections which have to be clipped together.
So far I have assembled two of the bits but after several hours the third
piece has defeated me - one has to beware of losing one's temper whilst
struggling with the thing for fear of breaking one of the clips.
Personally, I think it is disgraceful that a product costing nearly £400
comes with such a badly-designed component which would disgrace a
throwaway child's plastic toy!
I can't say this machine is no good at cutting grass, but my advice is
if you decide to buy one get the retailer to assemble the grassbox before
you take it home!

How Cool Is This??!!!

I love this kit, it fits perfectly under my passenger seat although its so cute I want to show it off! All the products are really nifty and good quality and the freshener smells lush!
