Review for Kodak EASYSHARE C340 - Digital camera - 5.0 Mpix - optical zoom: 3 x - supported memory: MMC, SD:
She loves it, has found it very easy to use - likes taking portraits, landscapes and flower photos. Has managed to take colour and monochrome photos and videos, all by herself. Even digital scared Grandma has been converted by this camera.
As Digital SLR user, I have also been know to get this camera out for quick snaps. Print quality on our photo printer very acceptable.
Particularly wanted the direct connection to the TV to do photo slide shows while on holiday - which was hard to find on other cameras around this price.
A great little camera - I'd recommend to anyone looking for an entry level camera for themselves or a child.

Review for Kodak Z700 Digital Camera [4MP, 5 x Optical Zoom]:
amazing
I've just got this camera for my 21st birthday. It is my first 'proper' digital camera - and I love it! I was a little worried when the batteries supplied with the camera ran out after taking a around 20 pictures, but I got myself a set of 4 rechargeable Ni-MH 2100mAh batteries that charge it about 1 hr, and they last for a lot longer. I love the detail possible with this camera, and I have been using the 'close up' setting a lot. The camera itself is very compact, and fairly small considering what it is capable of.45
Review for Kodak EasyShare C875 Digital Camera - Silver (8MP, 5x Optical Zoom) 2.5" LCD:
Okay, onto the Kodak C875. It's a lovely little beast. It has full manual controls, i.e. ISO, shutter speed, aperture, WB, +/-EV, metering mode, and a useable panoramic mode. It even has a 3:2 aspect ratio so you can print to 6x4's without cropping.
The colours are typical Kodak, if that's to your taste. The camera even has a special function that brings out the brightness and colours in images already shot.
The camera feels responsive, although autofocus can hunt a bit in the dark. The flash is underpowered, but it's perfectly suited for fill flash outdoors to remove harsh shadows. If you want good performance indoors with flash, you'll really need an SLR for that [and we're talking of spending 4-5 times as much for the kit].
Ultimately, if you just want a knockabout camera that has more than enough manual control - this could well be the camera for you. If instead you want perfectly sharp images with superb tonal range and colours, there's always the £3,000 Nikon D3...

Ignore the reviewer who says not to use at important events like weddings
First of all, if a reviewer tells you not to use a compact camera at an important event like weddings - they're teaching their grandmother to suck eggs. No one in their right mind would use ANY compact camera to capture important events like that. You hire a professional photographer who's going to use over £5000 worth of kit to do it.Okay, onto the Kodak C875. It's a lovely little beast. Review for Kodak Easyshare DX7590 Zoom Digital Camera:
Don't be put off by the Easyshare gimmick!
Was not sure about buying this as thought it might be a bit gimmicky because of the Easyshare dock business but bought it in the end for the 10x optical zoom. Have just been to Barcelona with this camera and have some fantastic photos. The zoom is fantastic - even the digital zoom, though you do need to have a steady hand or a tripod for zoom shots! Having said that, I found that you can re-take the shot and usually get it right eventually! The automatic mode seemed to be perfect for all shots except very close up for which the macro mode (tulip symbol) is brilliant. 5MP is enough for us - prints perfectly at A4 size though not tried any larger yet. Have not used the Kodak software yet as had a problem with loading but think this is the configuration of my PC rather than a problem with the software. Have used Microsoft Picture It, however, and results have been very good. Would recommend 512MB SD card for approx 300 photos at Fine resolution (the highest quality available on the camera). Mains rechargeable battery lasted for at least 250 shots with and without flash. Recharger comes with UK and European adaptors which is a nice idea - can use your travel adaptor for other things when in Europe whilst charging the battery at the same time! Does not come with a case but does have a lens cap. Bought Kodak case on here but not arrived yet so can't review! Also, can't tell you about the Easyshare facility as have not and will not be using. Overall delighted!47
Review for Kodak EasyShare Z612 [6 MP, 12x Optical Zoom]:
I have a Kodak Z700 digital camera which I am delighted with (but it only has a 5 x zoom lens), hence my decision to upgrade to its big brother.
Because the Z612 is so poor, I've carried on using my Z700. Its picture and video quality (using identical SD cards) is much better. NOTE - video footage can't be played in TV DVD players though!!
RE batteries, suggest you get rechargeable CRV3 Li-Ion batteries which are less than £20 incl charger and last for ages on a single charge.

Very disappointing overall. Pictures taken inside using built in flash are grainy with a yellow tint. The video facility is very poor often failing because the camera can't write to the SD card quick enough.I have a Kodak Z700 digital camera which I am delighted with (but it only has a 5 x zoom lens), hence my decision to upgrade to its big brother.

Review for Kodak P880 Digital Camera [8MP, 5x optical]:
Now the niggles. It is annoying that the maximum exposure time is only 16 seconds - my previous Kodak camera, a 7630, went up to 64 seconds, and was great for shots of starry skies.
Then there is the amount of storage required for video - I can just about get 10 minutes on a 512Mb card. Cameras using formats other than QuickTime manage greatly more than this, and it would be nice to have the option, as we now do, to a certain extent, with photos.
Finally, a word of warning about the patch. Yes it improves certain operations - auto-focus speed, for example - but there is a bug in the patch with causes certain modes - auto for example - to forget the picture quality setting - Fine, Standard, or Basic - and return to the default of Standard. I have configured the 'Prog' button on mine to take me to the picture quality menu, so that I can switch back easily. Kodak are aware of this problem, and claim it will be fixed in the next patch - whenever that is - but it is worth bearing in mind if you apply the patch.
However, aside from the aforementioned niggles, still a nice camera.

Great camera (with a few niggles)
Firstly, I agree with all the positives mentioned in other reviews - it takes an excellent photo, user interface is easy to use, with a nice selection of task specific buttons, good selection of modes etc. I am very pleased with it, especially considering that it seems to be about half the price of other, similar spec camera. Now the niggles. It is annoying that the maximum exposure time is only 16 seconds - my previous Kodak camera, a 7630, went up to 64 seconds, and was great for shots of starry skies.

awesome quality
having used a lot of different digital cameras and being a photo nut...i was looking very hard for a more professional camera to use and i have to say after a lot of looking, reading positive and negative reviews,i can honestly say that this camera ticks all the boxes for me,superb quality all round and i cant understand the second review on the page about portrait and indoor pictures, the quality is superb, his must have been faulty.adapter rings can be bought for a few pound to convert the camera lens into a 55mm so it can take extra lenses, polarisers etc..you can even add a step up adapter on to that one to convert it into a bigger mm e.g. 58mm. so versatile, can honestly recommend.51

Review for Kodak, P850 Digital Camera [5MP, 12x optical]:
Obvious plusses for the P850 are the additonal features, great viewfinder (so much better than the Z740), larger screen and the huge zoom. I have not missed the advantage of the image stabilisation, which will be of obvious value to low light/ high zoom occasions, but the times when this is needed for the average photographer will be limited.
Disappointed with P850? Not at all. This is a really good camera, offers a lot for the money and we are not disappointed to own it. Would I buy another? Most definitely but probably to compliment our Z740, rather than replace it. Why not a 5 stars rating? Simple really, 5 stars should be for a product which is outstanding in most areas; this product is, but the use of a Kodak only proprietary battery only has to result in demoting this to very good.
Purchase this camera by all means. You will not be disappointed, but if you want a camera which offers less, is almost as good, but does not have all of the features, consider the Z740 too.

Kodak P 850
I purchased this camera for my wife. It is very good, but does the extra length of zoom and additional features warrant the extra cost over the Kodak Z740. As a family which owns both, I feel that the smaller size, lower weight and slightly smaller size of the Z740 will satisfy the"snapper", but not the more experienced and demanding photographer.Obvious plusses for the P850 are the additonal features, great viewfinder (so much better than the Z740), larger screen and the huge zoom. Flippin' Brilliant!!!!
This is the best digital I've ever had or even seen! It's got settings for all sorts (bright beach scenes, bright snow scenes, fireworks), the zooms good, the pics are easy to download, you can take videos with sound, and its just the right size to fit in your pocket too.The only two downsides (and these are pretty insignifigant, but I think I should include them) when you play back the videos on the camera there is no sound, and it doesn't come with a case. But you don't really need to listen to the videos right there and then and I easily found a case the right size for it.
Either way, it has joined my wallet, my iPod, my penknife and my mobile, in the things I have with me at all times.
I would recommend this to anyone!
