This is a comprehensive pack of training material on 6 CDs.

The Theory Test and Hazard Perception pack lets you study signs, cross-reference with the Highway Code, take mock theory exams, see hints and tips, and chart your progress until you're consistently above the pass mark.

The additional Hazard Perception pack adds another 100 videos to practice with. You can simulate the hazard part of the exam and also study the clips with the hazard window on display later for comparison. High quality clips get you used to the way it works on the exam.

The Practical pack shows you around a car using videos and a 3D virtual car. Later you can drive this, as if playing a first-person game, to get a feel for the stages of many common manoeuvres.

Finally the Route Finder pack is similar to Autoroute but not as detailed. It's still very useful for planning cross-UK journeys.

All in all a great pack which covers everything and doesn't screw up your PC when you install the various components. Highly recommended to pass your theory and get you familiar with your car. It supports user profiles so many people can study at once.

Just OK....But Not Great

Pros:
1. The highway code is animated & voice enabled.
2. Collection of hazard perception clips.

Cons:
1. Hazard Perception Clip are not good quality media. Especially in Full screen mode, there are times when you cannot see the hazard.

2. There were times when I’d anticipated the potential -> developing hazard and had marked accordingly. Scored 0 most of the times. Frustatingly, one needs to click just between between the software opens & closes the score windows. Even if you’re smart, the software isn’t.

A must buy

I bought this 2 months before my 17th birthday, practised with it everyday right up until my test day, and managed a 34 out of 35. I believe it was due to the software, the questions range in difficulty, and the overall usuage is very easy. Would recommend it for any new driver.

Basic

As a peice of software the presentation is poor - it looks and feels cheap, however, it has an up to date database of questions and now includes the"hazard perception" component which is now a vital part of the written test, so for this reason it gets 4 stars - it does what it says on the box.

for all learner drivers

Superb. Cause of the new format of the Driving Theory Test, this is a must. The hazard perception is something that needs to be practiced and this is perfect for it.
It got me through my theory and boosted my confidence for it beforehand.
Well worth it.

AA Pass First Time 2001

This book helps you to pass your test first time, and gives you some usefull tips, but is not quite as helpfull as titles such as 'Driving For Dummies', and 'How Not To Die Behind The Wheel'.

Great value for money

This software is an excellent buy for the money and helped me breeze through the test with confidence. The CD is easy to install and is very intutive to use. The videos and graphics are excellent and drive the point home effectively. Compared to other books and software available in this category, this CD is definitely a steal for the money.

Good. If a little confusing at times.

This is very good. I have installed it on my work and home PC and have been using it on a daily basis and have seen my score get better and better. I have one major problem, though: when you get something wrong on the multiple choice questions it doesn't tell you directly what the right answer is. This often leaves me more confused, and ultimately frustrated. A valiant attempt, all the same. I have my test very soon; let's hope that it's like it is on this CD.

Don't waste your money

My biggest complaint about this CD-ROM is the fact it is one big Ford advertisement. It's one thing to model the cars used in the animations as clearly recognisable Fords, but this contains actual banner advertisements for Ford and the logo worked into the background image. The second gripe I have with it is that the navigation is terrible. There is no 'next' in any of the sections, so you constantly have to go back to get to the next section. A better thought out and designed navigation would mean the sliding menu for the sake of it wouldn't have made it in. The Show Me Tell me tutorials were ok, but they take place in a Ford showroom! The practical driving tutorials were mediocre. For example, the parking tutorials shows animations of a cars being perfectly parked. Well done! Everyone knows what that *looks* like. Sadly, apart from a few commonsense tips, they fail to explain anything about the actual *how* of parking. You'd be better advised to put the money this CD would cost you towards an extra lesson.

I am not the one for writing reviews, even this is my first review on amazon.co.uk, but I was so impressed with this product that I had to share my views.

Spend 3 hours in 1 session and I passed with a score of 65, which if you didn't is very good. I will put my neck on the block and recommend this to anyone.

One thing to note however, is that it is a good idea to go through all the material in sequence. Its been done that way for a reason. Hastily proceeding to the practice tests without knowing what to look for or how fast to click may not yeild good results.

An extra click here or there will not hurt!
