I watched all 3 films in one afternoon with the other half and was pleasently surprised at the quality of the films and also that the were full lengh films. The other half enjoyed them as much as me.

Well worth a buy

A Schlock Horror Classic

From the golden age of 70's horror films and starring the incomparable Delphine Seyrig, I would not hesitate to recommend this Vampire? movie where the atmosphere generated by the location of an out-of-season Belgian seaside hotel provides a backdrop through which Ms Seyrig drifts effortlessly and menacingly. The faded opulence of the hotel is the starting point to which layers of menace and intrigue are added, and the reason I put the question mark after Vampire is that the nature of the menace is never overtly stated so building the tension even more.
Perhaps the oddest thing is to find John Karlen (Mr Lacey in Cagney & Lacey!) as a decadent English aristo! but why he should get higher billing than the stupendous Delphine Seyrig is beyond me. Indeed both Goth Lesbian icon Andrea Rau and Danielle Ouimet have a much surer grasp of film's style than Mr Karlen.
The slow ratchetting of tension is handled expertly by Harry Kumel, whose commentary on this DVD is a revealing insight into the films dynamics.
The term 'Classic' is overused but in this case it is justified.

3 dvds for the price of one, seems good

3 hardcore dvds for the price of 1 seems a bargain. Although whether or not they should be concidered hardcore is another matter. I personally believe these are more softcore as the sex scenes fail to show enough graphic detail. But if you like softporn i’m sure this will be more to your taste. My main issue with this dvd is the picture quality. I seriously dont think the dvd producers have ever watched a normal dvd before! Its like watching a porno movie on a ten year old, over watched vhs cassette. So overall the dvd is cheap to buy and it shows in the picture quality.

for anyone who has ever had a crush

This film is a sinister thriller which brings a frightening reality into the indepth nature of a confused adolescent's disturbed fantasys and infatuation of an older man. This film will relate to any teenage girl who has had a crush upon any boy and all will relate to the emotions played by Alicia Silverstone, but when you witness the way a crush can turn into a twisted obsession, the innocent child we first wittnessed, into a disturbed individual. Carey Elwes plays the part of the bewildered highly talented journalist to perfection, and Alicia actually experiences a role of someone who is not too much of a rich brat( unlike her other parts since), very enjoyable, thrilling and a great suspense trigger, this film portrays a sinister outlook of a crush gone wroung, with one of those fantastic twists that leaves you replaying the consequences further.

A celebration without any fizz!

This is an almost erotic dvd. Potentially very exciting, it fails to deliver as the action is always just out of shot. It is probably one of the most annoying dvds I have seen in a long time. My partner just started to laugh because it is so obviously edited to cover up the vital bits! Expect to be disappointed

Reach for the Remote

When you sit through Boxing Helena you can understand why Kim Basinger faced bankruptcy rather than appear in what is a rather tedious and unbelievable effort

So you see a lot of the admittedly attractive Sherilyn Fenn - this can entertain for a few minutes but eventually disbelief outweighs even this. In particular the way she reacts to the various disasters that befall her without any noticable emotion sent me reaching for the remote.

Julian Sands is, as ever, plausible as the increasingly deranged villain of the piece but without ever engaging the viewer. Not helped here by a turgid script that fails to hold the attention.

All in all one for the Sherilyn die hards I'm afraid.
