Great for older babies

Having enjoyed the Baby Mozart and Baby Beethoven dvds, we added this one to our collection and have not regretted it. My 15 month old son loves it, and will sit through the whole dvd captivated, which is no mean feat for a boy who sits still for no-one! He really loves the cats and dogs, and shouts ’dack’ at the tv when the ducks come on! Definitely worth buying.

Charming, Disney tale exploring acceptance,loyalty,love & betrayal

A well animated, fun adaptation that provides a different take on Tarzan. There are some excellent action sequences such as the fight between the Leopard Sabor and Tarzan. With the demise of the Leopard Tarzan unknowingly avenges the death of his human parents and earns the respect of his new family. Other good action sequences include the capture and the liberation of the apes.

The story is well written and the sequence where Kerchak finally repents and accepts Tarzan after being shot is particularly touching. Romance is obviously provided in the shape of Jane and she finally opts to choose Tarzan ahead of a return to England.

Terk and Tantor are Tarzan's sidekicks and they help enrich the movie by providing much of the humour, the baby baboon character is also funny as is some of the banter between Jane and her father.E.g"Shall I leave you alone with the blackboard for the moment" when Jane is drawing a diagram of Tarzan and wistfully reminiscing about his deep, meaningful eyes.

The music score is quite good but inferior to the music in some of the other Disney movies like Pocahontas. In contrast to one of the other reviewers I enjoyed Clayton as a villain and I thought he was brilliantly voiced by Brian Blessed. The Special Edition is packed full of featurettes,images, activities and other Special Features.

Hugely Enjoyable Family Film

I haven’t seen the original but this remake is very enjoyable - funny, poignant and moving. The acting is great, the script perfect, and it gives you a warm happy feel.Perhaps a few elements could have been done better (e.g. teenager as therapist that could have been hilarious but it was left a bit cold), but overall it is a great film. Perfect for a winter’s evening for all the family 3 - 103.

LOVE THIS DVD!!!!!!!!!!

This DVD is great as you can watch all of the episodes as if it was all a movie starring Raven, suite life and Hannah montana. Great DVD totally reccomend it, its better than all those other dc DVDs which only have 3 or 4 random episodes on them!!!

Best Films EVER!

The High School Musical films are my absolute favourites - and the favourites of most of my friends too. This is the ultimate collection of the films, if you are as big a fan as me then buy this!

It could have been something brilliant!

I recently bought the Little Mermaid (original version) on video from Amazon, and loved it even more than the first time I saw it (when I was about six!) But when I watched The Little Mermaid 2 to compare, I found it couldn't measure up at all. The animation isn't as beautiful, it's coloured so brightly it nearly does your eyes in. The two things I hated the most were the voice acting, and the changing completely of Prince Eric's character. Sebastian, Ariel, Flounder and Eric's voices have all changed, which totally alters their characters. I felt like throwing something at the TV whenever any of those characters opened their mouths, particular Sebastian. Eric is now just the sympathetic husband and father, and doesn't have half the personality that he had in the first film. In The Little Mermaid, every song was wonderful, even Ursula's solo, but in the sequel the songs are only so-so; alright, but not something you'll still remember when you have kids of your own.

After all, the film is still Disney, and it was a good idea; but poorly carried out. The undersea animation is almost as beautiful as the original, but still waaay too brightly coloured. If you are a die-hard"Little Mermaid" fan, then you might want to at least see it, but if not, avoid at all costs!

Bouncy Tigger Fun!!

My son got this video for Christmas, and he was delighted with the free book that he received from the enclosed leaflet. Nice to see some plain, clean, fun on video, without violence. Typical Disney classics contain an element of nasty danger which younger kids can fear. Tigger is just good, clean, fun for all ages.

Fascinating and spooky if you are a kid.

I grew up with this film and it was not until much later that I realized that Sean Connery ...Michael McBride was the 007 guy. Everything is so fascinating when you are young. And the special effects are superb for the time. However I did have to take time to get over the banshee.

ok, but not morphenominal.

This DVD is okay, but Saban or whoever was in charge could have made it a lot better. There are Mighty Morphin episode (White Light), In space (Countdown to destruction) Lost Galaxy (To the Tenth Power) Lightspeed Rescue (Trakeenas Revenge) and Wild Force (Forever Red).
The questions I have to ask are why are there no episodes involving fan favourite the Green Ranger ? Tommy is in it as White Ranger (White Light) and Zeo Ranger V (Forever Red), but he was always best as Green Ranger. They could have edited Green With Evil and put it on in a movie format.

Two, Where are the episodes from Zeo, Turbo and Time Force. Personally, I would have like to have seen A Golden Homecoming (Jason's return as Gold Ranger) from the Zeo series; Passing The Torch (Where Tommy, Adam, Kat and Tanya passed their respective Turbo powers to TJ, Carlos, Cassie and Ashley. I would also have like to have seen The End Of Time which I though was a great finale to the Time Force series. Saban had a gem in this one which, if given a longer running time, could have recaptured the magic of the old Mighty Morphin' series.

Highly recommend Bear!

Another great DvD from Bear in the big blue house. My 3 year old loves Shapes, Sounds & Colours. Bear and his friends offer really imaginative ways of learning the various shapes and colours though play and fun. The songs are great - very catchy as well as educational. As a parent, I feel that Bear in the big blue house is wonderful. Bears' adventures are always full of fun and learning and always have a subtle moral undertone. Highly recommend!*****

Whats not to love?!

This film is possibly my favourite Disney film ever! And for all those sour-pusses giving only 1 star, boooo!!! No its not typical Disney with the guy n the girl n the romance n the hero, but isn't that all just a little over played? Get with the times, Disneys sense of humour is chaging, the films nowadays are just as much fun for the adults as the kids, and ENG is the perfect example!
I nearly wet myself watching this film! It's fast paced, witty, downright silly and has great characters with personalities that have never appeared before in a Disney movie. Kids should be exposed to"normal" characters that don't always one-handedly save the day and aren't perfect, but learn from their mistakes, cos thats how kids should be too!
I understand that if you had a dry sense of humour this film could go over your head, and you'd probably just think it was a load of rubbish, but lighten up, allow yourself to be just a little silly too and you'll be rolling around in histerics, I'm sure.
Have a laugh, and love the film for standing out from Disneys classics, things can't stay the same forever.

Alice oops Flynn in wonderland

What would computers appeared like to the uninitiated, 20 plus years ago? Even as we watch this remake of Alice every one knows that computers were getting smaller even then. But this is a fun romp with love and loyalty, and now with time campiness.
The nasty old MPC (Master Control Program) wants to rule the world vis-Ã-vis remove human contamination or at the least play like"Colossus: The Forbin Project" (1970). Only the"Users" (a loose term invented by the movie makers for programmers) can defeat him. Flynn (Jeff Bridges) and a hand full of loyal programs including Tron (Bruce Boxleitner) will attempt to do so running into many quasi computer parts along the way. Will they succeed or will their side issue with the lovely Yori (Cindy Morgan) sidetrack them from their mission.

Jeff Bridges looked cute in those days and David Warner (Master Control Program Voice) had just enough touch of evil for a Disney picture.

Better, but barely

There is no arguement that this extended cut works better on some levels the original didn't. With all shorter versions, cuts were made to preserve pace and drama, so at times these qualities aren't so intense - and yet at others, they are more intense (such as the chase after Edmund breaks the stained glass). Some scenes include pleasant little moment, but apart from two sections at the battle, that's all they amount to - little moments. The transition of Narnia from snow to summer is better explored in this new release, the Phoenix dividing the fighting troops too amongst others. A let down for me was that they used the same audio commentaries, just re-edited. The second disk is the same as the original release from what I can tell - though disk 4 is the one worth watching. I never owned the original, but had seen it many times -so this investment was worth it for me, though admittedly, this film isn't very extended. George Lucas extended Star Wars I when it came out on DVD but he didn't call it extended nor did he draw attention to the fact, and it was probably a more sizeable addition than Andrew Adamson's. Still, not a loss by any means.

Great!

This film is enticing and keeps the audience mezmorized throughout. Fine acting by young rising star Shia LaBeouf and a well written script. Definately worth watching- even if it is golf! =)

Snow dogs is the best

A fabulous family movie which will have you laughing and crying by the time it is over, just makes you want to watch it again and again

It May Be About Shrinking People But This Is A Big Movie

Rick Moranis plays a scientist who is determined to invent a working shrink ray but with no luck until one day and accident occurs and a baseball becomes a part of the shrink machine which finally gets it working.
Looking for the baseball the scientists kids and the kids from next door venture into the attic where the shrink ray is stored and worked on. When the kids are in the attic the shrink ray fires and shrinks the kids so that's when the adventure begins.
Because i aint seen this movie in a long time they somehow end up in the backyard which gets them into a whole lot of trouble.
They adopt an ant and fight a scorpion, this movie is excellent and the set design is awesome so watch this movie because you will love every second of it.

Feel good

yet another underdog wins the day film but a bit cheesy, you know what will happen but still a good film.
Slightly moralistic in palces but an alround family film and fun.
