simply brillant

i watched the series on discovery channel and loved it so when i saw it was being sold on here i just had to get it. it is one of the deadliest jobs in the world and i love watching it, its brillant. can't wait til i can buy the third series.

Brilliant DVD - you can learn a lot

Occasionally I was lucky to catch an episode of this on TV but they were shown at dodgy times. Now i can watch whenever I want! bargain price, and very entertaining - one of the best buys i have ever made

truelly an excellent documentary

this is an intelligently produced movie that strikes an excellent balance between documenting the history of surfing, the culture that surrounded the grass roots of the sport in north america and hawaii (in contrast to that portrayed so inaccurately by hollywood) and the lure of a sport that attracts men (and women) to test themselves in extreme natural environments. each of the three 'acts' tells a specific story central to the evolution of surfing since the sxities. the story of geoff campbell surfing mavericks alone for fifteen years before anybody joined him reveals more about the sport and the people who pursue it than perhaps any story previously told. it is compelling viewing and great credit to the producers. i look forward to their next work.

Tottenham rules!

I am from the USA and from 5000 miles away I jumped for joy in watching my Hotspur conquer London and win the Carling Cup. After defeating the Gooners in the semi final, beating Chelsea was the icing on my red velvet cake. Man..... it sure tastes good!

If you follow the Hotspur, this video along with the 5-1 blowout DVD of Leg 2 against Arsenal are highly recommended.

Brilliant

I think that this was actually a better review than some people are giving credit. this covers all the big issues of this year and gives you some information you may have missed first time round. the interview with mark webber and david coulthard was good.

I have never viewed such total nonsense in all my life. This can't be called a film? I class this as the most boring video ever.

DONE IT AGAIN!!!

Betweent this and the Hamster, my Xmas holiday was complete. This is the 4th Clarkson I've had for Xmas, and it's now part of the tradition. Even when he's 80 I'll be expecting"Clarkson on Zimmers!"

Great For beginners

After searching for a DVD that played at a speed and pace that a beginner could work with - I found it in this DVD, it's great and my back is benefiting from the exercises.Thanks to Lynne Robinson.

Magic Moments

Glory, Glory Man Utd. If you like to watch some fantastic goals from the worlds biggest football club then this dvd is the one for you. Every player who scored under Sir Alex down the years is in this dvd. 'You'll bob and weave and keep going and when you needed a finish, my god do we get it!' 2000 goals resulting in League Cup, FA Cup, Premiership and European cup triumphs. Does exactly what its says on the tin!

Excellent Guide to improving your game

I bought this DVD for my father who already has a handicap of 12. He used to play off scratch but stopped playing along time ago when he started a family. Since taking up golf again for the last few months he has had a problem with his swing and other small parts of this game. Since watching the dvds his handicap went down to 8 after 1 game and is improving even more now, his swing problems have been sorted and is enjoying the game even more now. He has found this to be a very informative and well worth watching. Anyone wanting to improve their game should look to David Leadbetter to help improve their game.

A disappointing entry on Clarkson's CV.

I really do wonder what exactly America has done to Mr Clarkson to make him hate it so much. Not just the cars though, there appears to be a real hatred for the people there as well.

I have all the DVDs Clarkson has released, and each and every one previous to this has been brilliant. This new one is just a long (at times bordering on racist) attack on America. The challenges are ridiculously stacked in favour of a European victory (Mustang vs. Lotus and 300C vs. M5 for example) which makes any comparison totally pointless. I was really looking forward to this DVD but towards the end it became extremely tiresome.

I hope this is a blip on an otherwise excellent series of DVDs and this years release gets back to more evenly matched challenges and fun, exciting stunts.

What a game, what a night!

I'm pleased to have been one of the fortunate ones to have been at this game and can only describe the evening as one of the best experiences i've had at the lane. If you're a Tottenham supporter, then this is an essential purchase. With Jenas opening the scoring after only a few minutes, re-live the 90 minutes in all it's glory.

The night for me was made extra special because i was interviewed by Spurs TV before the game and ended up on the Jumbotron, beamed to the whole stadium and millions online.

The fact we ended up going on to win the Carling cup makes this DVD even more special. Rival supporters will scoff at our moment of glory. And i'd expect nothing less. We haven't had much to crow about in the way of cup glory over the last number of years. But i don't see why we can't relish the moments that truly made an impact on both the club and it's supporters.

Do not hesitate to buy this DVD. Watch over and over again how we beat the scum. So they may beat us the next 9 times. But this game will forever be etched in their memories and we'll never let them forget it.

I've watched this DVD too many times. The road to Istanbul the final everything about this DVD is perfect. If your looking to buy this DVD do it you'll watch it over and over. It still brings a smile to my face.

If you're a WWE fan, or a fan of wrestling in the past 10+ years or so, this DVD should be a definite purchase. With 9hrs of highlight material showing 15 years of great moments it's hard to not recommend. Everything that should've been included on this DVD has been. Nothing has been left out. The UK version also comes with a 4th ("bonus") dvd of the first Monday Night Raw in 1993. Yeah OK, it's not essential but it sweetens the deal. Purchase this DVD.

Mighty Welsh Dragon Breathes Fire Once More

Wow what a season for Welsh rugby and this two hour DVD captures perfectly the highlights of the five victories on the pitch as well as some of the behind the scenes tension and excitement as Wales rejuvenated under Gatland, Edwards and Howley swept all before them. I absolutely loved this, and have watched it three times already in the four days since it arrived, and cannot imagine me tiring of it any time soon. I enjoyed the 2005 Grand Slam DVD review with then Man of the Tornament Martyn Williams interviewed by Ieuan Evans but this format works even better I beleive with an overview from the Welsh wizard himeslf Shane Williams whom is so modest in his commentary, in contrast to his world class performances on the pitch which won him the 2008 Man of the Tournament award as well as the deserved accolade from many critics that he is currently the best player in the World. The DVD captures what rugby and the Grand Slam means to a passionate rugby nation on the day of the French match when no amount of rain can dampen the spirit and expectation of the fans, and their desire to see the boys as they make their way through Cardiff to the ground on the coach. Then you have the poignant sight of Manon and Gwenan, the daughters of one of the greatest heroes of both Welsh rugby and culture, Ray Gravell trying to catch rain drops before the team arrives at the Millennium Stadium. At half time with the game far from won, who else but Shaun Edwards to rally our boys and remind them that just another 40 minutes of pain and putting their bodies on the line will see them write their names in history. Then having won the Slam, the euphoric atmosphere both on the pitch (which my son and I were lucky enough to witness live) and in the changing room after is priceless and you insticntively sense that these boys didn't just want to win it for themselves, but also for each other because the cammaraderie is so apparent, despie the intense rivalry that existed during the tournament from the twenty nine in the squad for the starting fifteen shirts, and of course Gatland dealt with some of those challenges so superbly by playing in most games both Hook and Steve Jones, Huw Bennett and Matthew Rees, Mike Phillips and Dwayne Peel, Gethin Jenkins and Duncan Jones, and so on, These boys are now deservedly legends taking their place alongside the 70's greats so many of us grew up with and adored. I loved every moment of this fitting tribute to the playing and coaching heroes of Welsh rugby's tenth Grand Slam.

Well worth watching

I bought this having watched Long Way Round and wasn't disappointed, even though the adventure Charley Boorman undertakes here is a lot different.

A really tense, exciting documentary. And you don't even have to be into bikes to enjoy it.

Lance Armstrong - 7 In a Row

An excellent watch, not only for cycling enthusiasts but for those who enjoy a good documentary. This dvd goes through the career and personal life of Lance Armstrong in 7 chapters, and his remarkable 7 Tour de France wins from 1999 - 2005. This is a truly uplifting story about an amazing man and will have you dusting the cobwebs of your bike as soon as it is finished.
