this is an excelent review of what was a fantastic ashes series. heaps of match footage and some very interesting extras. for the price you can't realy go wrong if you're a fan of english cricket.

What can i say?

well, i am not a Man utd fan. but i sing praise for it. can u believe it? A simple clear cut review on Man Utd throughout the season. Not much interviews , but excellent glimpse of genuises from stars , like keane , beckham and giggs to remember. Worth buying for keeps and sell in future.

Cristiano Ronaldo - The Boy Who Had A Dream Review

A personal look into the life of Cristiano Ronaldo from his childhood beginnings to his position as one of the greatest footballers of the world. Its a story about him growing up but in terms of football theres not much there. Its like an biography - so if you want to know more about him then this is for you. If you just want to watch it for his skills and highlights of actual football then i would give it a miss. I wanted to see highlights of his games, his tricks, and moves etc. I was disappointed.

Marvellous Deliveries

I was 19 at the time and I kind of remember this a bit but I didn't have a TV then. So glad to be able to get to see it at last but was not aware that only the one match was covered as the whole series was extraordinary. I forgot just how close the scores were and I found myself cheering and shouting at the TV and getting quite nervous each time Bob Willis steamed in. The England team were amazing when you look at the line up. Didn't think Mr Boycott and Mr Dilley ever played at the same time let alone in the same team.It was good to see the interview with my cricketing hero as well. In the style of Messrs R Benaud and G Boycott, That's great cricket, that! What a marvellous video!

Doesn't fully capture the spectacle

Virtually all the goals, as the title states, apart from early ones of the penalty shoot outs. Heavily distorted hospital radio standard of commentary for the group stages. Virtually no other action apart from the open play immediately preceding a penalty: that means no footage of any skills, nearly-goals or incidents including Rooney's exit or Zizou's moment of madness. Annoying decision of the producers to show the full-time score at the BEGINNING of each game excerpt. Add feeble graphics and Bontempi music and this all amounts to a rather modest package.

Excellent supplement for"Play the Brazilian Way"

If you love to play soccer;
If you love Brazilian football;
If you've read Simon Clifford's"Play the Brazilian Way",
this is an excellent material for you.

I have already read the book"Play the Brazilian Way". However, only text descriptions and few static pictures won't help me to learn more on the moves. Fortunately, in this DVD, Simon Clifford, together with his students, beautifully demonstrated various of skills and Brazilian moves. It is definitely helpful for you to learn and practice from those vivid samples.

In addition, there are several extra short clips at the end of the program, which included interviews with famous players, like Zico, Juninho, Ronaldo, R. Carlos, etc. Quite fruitful.

Just the ticket

I bought this dvd following a one hour group lesson. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and at a pace suitable for beginners. The demonstrator uses a band for some exercises,but observer can
select exercises. A good range of exercises and I could feel benefit after first attempt. Only criticism, learner not told how often to do exercises, how many times to repeat exercises or how to build up to maximum. Otherwise enjoyed dvd and would recommend.

Fun for the Top Gear Fan...

I bought this as a present this year for my Son who is a car 'nut' and it has proved a real hit! As self confessed Top Gear Fans we have really enjoyed this game and have become slightly competitive between each other!

The game has a good mixture of different rounds which is a nice surprise and makes the game more interesting especially the caravan round, the explosions look amazing on my Plasma.

I can highly recommend this DVD especially if your a Top Gear Fan.

VAN DAMME DOING WHAT HE DOES BEST

Bloodsport opens with a montage of fighters preparing for the Kumite, an illegal full contact mixed martial arts tournament held in Hong Kong. It gets the viewers for the bloodiest cultural display of martial arts combat in decades.

A clean shaven United States military officer Frank Dux (Van Damme), after going A.W.O.L from his post (and two officers including Forest Witaker are dispached to bring him back) and using his superior combat training he gets ready for the Kumite.

Once in Hong Kong, Dux befriends fellow American Ray Jackson, also a Kumite fighter and the two prepare for the tournament. There is a lot of mystery that surrounds the illegal tournament - nobody will talk about it. Nobody can pick fights outside the ring which will result in an automatic DQ.

When it comes time for the action of the Kumite, 40 or so fighters look over one another eager to jump into the ring and fight it out. But nothing can prepare Ray and Dux for the hulking South Korean fighter and current Kumite champion Chong Li who has a reputation for fighting dirty and is rumoured to have once killed one of his opponents.

Bloodsport is a perfect star making film for Van Damme, although some studio execs didn't think so. Van Damme had to fight like there was no tomorrow to get Bloodsport released and I think its nowhere near as bad as people made it out to be.

Once the fights start the blood flows as one fighter is knocked out after the other.

Even in recent years Bloodsport is still a decent affair that gets bogged down by some cheesiness and bad dubbing at the beginning but its still a good watch.

Entertaining dross!

Nope this isn't as good as Top Gear, but it does feature some superb cars, as well as the rubbish.

As some previous reviewers have already said, in places it is funny, but it lacks the spark that Clarkson has when he's working with Hammond and May. He may be the star, and the best thing about Top Gear, but he is not as good without Hammond and May.

Fortunately for me I picked this up very cheap. If I'd paid the normal price for this it would only have got 3 stars from me.

great game poor picture

Whilst the game is one of the best ever televised and a must for all Rugby fans the transition to DVD has not for me been a success. Whether I have received one of a bad batch or not the picture on the left hand side is blurry with a green haze particularly from the main game camera angle. The picture overall has bad definition especially on large modern televisions and is not to the same standard as the video cassette of this game that I bought some time ago. I feel that it may require digitally remastering to come up to the standard of the game it is trying to portray.
