Dyson Mattress Tool

OK, so a vacuum cleaner tool is nothing to get excited about...but this tool is surprisingly useful! I used it to vacuum under the sofa cushions and was amazed at the amount of dust, hair and fluff it picked up!! Oh...and I found a few pound coins, too ;-)

A filter that you can recycle

Obviously if you have a Dyson cleaner then you know that the filters are of a good quality, easy to fit etc. What I particularly like about these is that you can wash them - so although you still change them on a regular basis these two filters will last you for 12 months+ which beats having to throw away a perfectly good filter just because it's a bit dirty!

I bought this to replace my trusty old DC 04 which was past its best as it worked best on carpets and I now mostly have flooring. I was concerned that the suck power (200) would be adequate but it is great - good on carpets but fantastic on flooring - with the ball thingy and being lightweight - it just nips around - totally brillant.

Money well spent!

I just have to say how useful these additional tools are.

The extending hose with the soft brush is ideal for those hard to reach places, and is great for the sides of stairs and skirting etc.

For this combination alone the kit is worth buying.

The other attachments are useful, but they do duplicate to a certain extent the tools that came with the machine.

If you could have just bought the soft brush and the hose then this would be getting 5 stars. But its just a bit expensive when you are duplicating on some tools, but at least I have a spare brush for when one wears out, or more likely I loose it.

I paid £200+ for this model when it first came out (can't remember the exact amount) and it was excellent for the time we had it.
I also found that it overheated but then I was abusing it at the time, hoovering up unreasonable amounts of Gypsum dust and wood from DIY jobs would kill any other make. The Dyson just overheated and cut out, after cleaning the filters and leaving it for a while to cool down it was back to normal. It only looses the 1 star because of the overheating while being abused, it's slightly bulky and a bit noisier than other Dysons but quieter than our Vax.

If you want a beautiful vacuum cleaner to look at, then the Dyson23 is your man. However just forget about it if you are hoping to do some serious cleaning round the house. In fact my 10 year-old Panasonic is doing a much better job! There has been a lot of hype about bagless vacuum cleaners over the years. What is wrong about having a bag? If anything, it's cleaner. Take the bag out and throw it straight into the bin. After having hoovered the bedroom, I gently emptied the cylinder and dust was everywhere. To make matters worse I had to spend a good 10 minutes washing it! In fact I spend more time washing the device than cleaning the bedroom. Needless to say, I am very disappointed with it. Not only it is very expensive, over engineered and the suction power is feeble on carpets. Mine is going back to the manufacturer first thing. If you want a proper vacuum cleaner, forget Dyson and do yourself a favour, buy yourself a Miele.

Just the Best Thing in the House

We have had this for 3 years now and it has never let us down. Worth every penny and just takes minutes to clean house. Easy to use, easy to set up, clean and store away.

never could get all the cat hair from the stairs ,,,tried standard tools ,,,,stiff brushes,,velvet pad things , but the stuff just stuck like glue .

got the mini turbine and in less than 10 mins the cat hair was gone ,,,whoever designed it was a genius

completely brilliant!

I bought the DC07 animal because my old cylinder vac (not a Dyson!) just couldn't cope with cat hairs. I got sick of being ankle deep in the stuff, and decided to buy the Dyson even though it is pretty expensive. The first time I used it was after I had already vacuumed with my old cleaner - and I couldn't believe the amount of extra hair and dirt the Dyson picked up! It was almost like having a new carpet.

In short, if you have a cat or dog then you need to have a DC07 animal.
