warm feet
I really wasn't expecting much from a heated blanket just thought it would take the edge off a cold bedroom. BUT this is wicked, it's sad that I am so excited about a blanket but as soon as the weather was forecasted below 0 this blanket has meant that it's easier getting up in the morning! Just switch it on 30 mins before you go to bed.8

could do better...
i've given this three stars, but possibly it deserves four because it does everything it says it does. the reason for the lower rating is that the idiot who designed this blanket saw fit to place two small, very hard rectangles of plastic at the top end, in the middle. so if you use this blanket the recommended way round, you and your partner will wake up with painfully embossed shoulders... i've turned mine round so that the plastic rectangles are at the foot end of the bed, as then are the controls, and that more or less solves the problem. but what a witless design! apart from that, it heats up fast, and is as comfortable as any electric blanket - in other words, you can feel the wires but they aren't too intrusive. i'm using this on top of memory foam, and sadly the unyielding-ness of the electric blanket does reduce the softness of the memory foam topper - but only a bit: worth it for the joy of getting into a warm bed in winter!14

On the plus side, it is reversible so the power cord can be put where you want, and I couldn't feel the wires through one sheet layer, which is why I'm not giving it 1 star. Overall it is good quality, but just so damn small. I might have to buy a second one...

I'd give this 5 stars if I was a midget
What the hell? Are all electric blankets designed for children under 5? No wonder they don't publish the dimensions. (Although they do for some"doubles" so I could have checked that). But doubles rotated 90 deg are still not long enough, they would either leave my feet unheated or wouldn't be able to preheat the pillow. Heads & feet are the only 2 parts that need the extra heat!On the plus side, it is reversible so the power cord can be put where you want, and I couldn't feel the wires through one sheet layer, which is why I'm not giving it 1 star. Comfortable blanket but quirky.
Comfortable electric blanket although takes considerable time to heat up. Best to use on timer therefore but found it impossible to make timer work at night time - seems to be some problem with timer that will not come on after 20:00. Dreamland customer services could not advise how to make it work. Seller did agree to replace or refund but as works if set to Australian time (ie set to 12 hours before actual time on 24 hour clock) we decided to avoid the hassle and keep it. 6 heat settings means choice of 2 or 3 for overnight use.18

One star is too generous for this pad
The"hottest" setting is laughable. You barely feel any heat whatsoever, and that's not an exaggeration. I've been thoroughly had by this pad.
