I love this machine

Had this machine for two years(at least 3 cups a day!) now and it still makes a great cup of coffee.

Frothing and steaming is a bit slow and doesn't make that great a cappuccino. It has gotten a bit clogged up now and again, but is quite easy to take apart and clean. After that it works like new.

Still looks really cool sitting on the counter and I would recommend this machine to anyone.

Excellent

The F90 makes it very easy to enjoy fabulous coffee. Just a button press stands between you and an awesome creamy black coffee. For latte you froth up the milk first and that's easy too.
If you prefer fussing and cleaning out coffee grounds this isn't for you.
The auto-cappucino unit might be handy if you're using this in a workplace but for 1 or 2 cups of coffee several times a day, you don't need it - plus it needs washing up. Otherwise the machine tells you if anything is amiss and i was surprised how infrequent that is. Eg You'll get a dozen cups before having to do much and it takes a few seconds to fill up or empty.
Not so good if poor is the manual which tells little. Perhaps that's the point of such an automatic machine but something about ways to customise your coffee would have helped.

An awful machine

This machine is really not good at all. I already got a replacement and this one also stopped working. Suddenly without any warning the pump stopped working. The same thing that happened to the first machine. The first one lasted 45 days and it was outside amazon's warranty so I called Morphy Richards and the customer support was extremely good they sent a replacement in 2 days. This replacement worked fine for 4 months or so. I am extremely disappointed with this Morphy Richards product, and definitely I will recommend it at all.

Since the first day I noticed two unusual things, the first one is that the bottom tray is made of an alloy with a plastic cover that makes it look like it is stainless steel. Well it isn't it peels off and starts to look awful. If you leave it on for more that 30 minutes it gets extremely hot, you cannot touch it with your bare hands (the top of the machine).

My previous machine was a Gaggia and that one lasted 3 years, it is still working but the handle of the filter holder broke and it was stupidly expensive to get a replacement. It come out from the garage yesterday and started working perfectly and making great coffee as it always did. I will go to customer support this week to get a refund or a replacement with a better coffee machine, I will not have another one of these... The Gaggia could be left on all day and it never ever fail... So get yourself a proper machine from a reputable brand.

problems, what problems!

I have to say best thing I've bought for ages fantastic coffee, even strong coffee isn't bitter and certainly competes with the high street outlets flavour.

I have now had this machine for 8 months and I believe I have overcome all its"faults"!

Apart from the normal cleaning lights that flash (all in the manual) if all the lights are flashing in normal use I believe it's because there is air in the system pipework, all that I do to reset this is turn on the steam to full (a quarter turn to the left) and press the hot water button (top right) straight away and allow it to finish automatically, then turn the steam to off and the machine is reset. Works every time.

The only bad points of this machine is the bean hopper, I only put in enough for the day and is difficult to clean around the grinder area even when its empty. The delivery system is a bit low for a decent mug size also, so have bought some smaller mugs!

Sold a Used item

I bought a 'new' Tassimo, or I least I thought so.

When it turned up in a damaged box that had been repaired with sellotape I was a little suspicious. Sure enough when opened, there was milk residue on the internal workings and scratches on the body.
I HAD BEEN SOLD A SECOND HAND MACHINE PASSED OFF AS A NEW ONE.

I will be taking this up with Amazon.

A wonderful coffee maker for Coffee Heads like me! You can also make lots of different Teas and Drinks!

Early days, expensive, but FANTASTIC coffee!!!

We purchased this product from Peter Maturi in Leeds and would recommend this product if you have a spare £500+ to spare!

Why 4 stars? Well, the machine is just amazing. It makes fantastic coffee and it's just so easy. We very quickly adjusted the setting to full strength and fine grind to produce coffee the way we like it... Italian style in all it's glory.

As mentioned above, we have only had the machine a short while: 1 week, so you may question the reliability of my review and of the Gaggia(as mentioned by others). The reliability issue prompted us to visit the above store and seek out advice. The store talked us through various machines and did say that other brands such as Jura were more reliable, but not to a level that was excessive. The Gaggia was also a bit noisier than others, but we found the sound to add to its charm! The store did say that their experience of Gaggia was good and that on machines that had been returned due to a fault, the repair resolved the problem and was not seen again.

Just as a final note, this machine looks so cool in your kitchen. Yes it is an exorbitant amount of money to spend on coffee, it has a rival that is more reliable, but the coffee is sublime and it just oozes Italian style.

PS although we purchased from another retailer, I buy from Amazon with confidence and have found their customer service excellent.

Stylish, gorgeous coffee!

I've had my cream Artisan Espresso machine for about a month now and I'm delighted with it. I had wanted to move on from stove top mocha express devises and had been researching pumped Espresso machines for a while, the KitchenAid took me with a first glance! This is a stunning piece of industrial design, infinitely better looking in the flesh than in pictures and if you fall for it's looks than nothing else will do!
So how dose it perform? Wonderfully well! The very first shot of Espresso pulled was just great including a near perfect creama, what more could you ask for? There is no point in me regurgitating the technical specifications of the machine but I'm sure that the twin boilers are a considerable asset because the brew water is never over heated while you have steam ready all the time and of course once you are adept you can brew and steam at the same time. I'm inclined to think that a commercial grade 58mm chrome plated brass portafilter is essential as this really dose hold its temperature and leads to greater consistency. The supplied tiny plastic tamper is really quite inadequate other than to get you started, I've now purchased a Reg Barber one which is an immense improvement allowing the ideal compacting of any grind of coffee into the portafilter, this is important as it's one of the greatest influences on the extraction of the coffee. The supplied milk jug is nice but a little on the small side, only suitable for single helpings of Cappuccino, no big deal really as a twin shot of Espresso makes one Cappuccino!
Negatives! Right, the largest hassle with the Artisan is the change from steam to hot water and this dose take a bit of time, your expecting water but end up with spitting steam, the manual dose remark on this but it's a pain, you need a largish jug to dump this into because it's quite messy, no, very messy! I was making Americano the other day and got this wrong, we are talking coffee everywhere here! This is something I have not as yet sorted out, again no big deal as a kettle is simpler anyway!
In conclusion this is a great Espresso machine and I am recommending it, there is also a matching coffee grinder that I will be purchasing soon, these will look beautiful together and I will post my experience with it soon.
If you are considering a pumped Espresso machine and you like the look of the KitchenAid, just go for it! It is the real thing!
