GameCube Controller Black

Used Price: £12.75
New Price: £6.99

Review for GameCube Controller Black:
The Best Controller ever!
The PS2 controller is small, fiddly and, overall, pretty rubbish. The Xbox controller is more comfortable, but twice the size it needs to be. The GameCube one, however, balances everything perfectly. It's not too bulky, but not too small either. It shaped so that it fits perfectly into your hands really comfortably, and all the buttons are well spaced out so that while you don't have to stretch across it in order to reach all the buttons, you are unlikely to accidently press 2 at once.

GameCube 251 Slot Memory Card

Used Price: £7.54
New Price: £12.94

Review for GameCube 251 Slot Memory Card:
just what you need
This is just what you need for the cube. It has adequate space for around 20 of the standard cube games, and it can hold around 5 of the larger titles such as Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing. Although this is a great card I have found a better one but it is only available in America or Japan. It is a 1019 block official gamecube card and i dont know why nintendo did not release it in the U.K. But I plan to import and I advise others do to.

New Price: £19.99

Review for Powerplay Supido Hyper Drive Blue Portable Racing Seat (GameCube/PC/PS/PS2/PS3/Xbox/Xbox 360):
Flawed but well worth the money!
This is a great product for the price. Sure, it is not as sturdy as a gaming seat. But a gaming seat will cost you anywhere from £150 to £300, so is that a surprise? It will also take up a sizable amount of space, whereas this will tuck away into any wardrobe, or even behind the sofa. There is a certain amount of movement (wobbling) when you are steering, but I did not find it ruined the experience. It was certainly better than balancing the wheel on your lap.

My only criticism is that the part you sit on should have been padded in some way. It is made of very hard plastic, and the underside is not even smooth. Hence, if you use it on a leather sofa, you run the risk of marking the seat, and prolonged use gets quite uncomfortable. I reduced the problem by folding a thick blanket over and under the end of it, making it more comfortable and protecting my sofa at the same time.

But for the money, an excellent addition to the driving experience. I use mine with a Logitech Driving Force Pro Steering Wheel.

GameCube Console - Black

Used Price: £14.95
New Price: £39.99

Review for GameCube Console - Black:
Best of the last gen!
The GCN is a awesome console...in groups! Nintendo have always been AND always will be party game based company. As they're are games such as Super Smash Bros Melee, Super Monkey Ball, F Zero GX, Soulcalibur 2(yes I know multi format but controls best on Gamecube) and Wave Race; Blue Storm too name but a few and honest to god the best PS2 has to offer is they're try at GTA SA multiplayer which was fun for awhile oh and Soulcalibur 3 which is pretty good and Rockstar were probably smiling about they're take on the multi player on GTA SA well woopty frickin doo! Ok the antics of Mario saving Peach for the Umptenth is getting tedious but I think in the Mario games it's more about the journey that counts.

Another reason I think the GCN is so great is because it gets back to gaming roots, it's become to much about killing people graphically but the NGC takes it's way ahead and bases they're games on pure good fun! Ok it doesnt offer brillaint graphics but too be honest I find my fun from cartoon monkey's racing in capsule like balls, other then playing as Master Chief and killing aliens(though that is fun) so if your in University or live with brothers or sisters or even live close to a bundle of mates the NGC is for you as it's got enough to keep you entertained for hours on end!

Review for Resident Evil 4 (GameCube):
Worth it just for Mercenaries
This game has a great story and a great play experience, but I think its shining jewel is the Mercenaries minigame. It's tons of fun to play as Wesker and do shinkyo kicks.

Datel FreeLoader (GameCube/Wii)

Review for Datel FreeLoader (GameCube/Wii):
Useless piece of junk
I bought this off Amazon in the hope of converting U.S games to play on my PAL Wii, but noooo, the freeloader turns out to be completely useless in converting the games. After around 5 minutes max of play the game completely crashes and you are told to turn the power off and refer to the Nintendo Gamecube instruction booklet. I did so, but their useless solutions completely failed. I'm fed up with Nintendo for this POINTLESS regionality, and I'm fed up with Datel for making a product which as far as I'm concerned, is a useless piece of junk. AVOID!!!

GameCube Controller Purple

New Price: £24.99

Review for GameCube Controller Purple:
Prejudice
All the people rubbishing the XBox and PS2 controllers, have you ever used one? The PS2 pad is very good and the fact that it has had only minor adjustments in many years is a true testament to it's quality. And the XBox controllers are fine if you do not have tiny hands, they are sturdy and built to last. In contrast this Gamecube pad is flimsy and it looks and feels cheap. Do yourself a favour and get an XBox

GameCube 59 Slot Memory Card

Used Price: £5.49
New Price: £14.98

Review for GameCube 59 Slot Memory Card:
Not Really That Big Enough, Just One Large Game Eats The Whole Card!
I first owned one of these Memory Card's when I first got the Nintendo Gamecube along with Luigi's Mansion! Having that alone was no problems, as Luigi's Mansion only requires 3 Blocks to save data! However, when I obtained more Nintendo Gamecube games, for example Super Mario Sunshine (7 Blocks Required), Super Smash Bros. Melee (11 Blocks Required Without Snapshots), Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (11 Blocks Required), and Pikmin (19 Blocks Required), I was at a stage thinking to myself"How the heck am I going to store all this saved data onto this small Memory Card, it's just Unreal! You need dozens of Memory Card's to do this!" This was however until I found the 251 Block Memory Card and to put it in my opinion, that 251 Block Memory Card saved my life!

My brother however, wanted this Memory Card since I got myself the 251 Block Memory Card, so I gave it to him and when I got the game Pokemon Colosseum, I got a 59 Block Memory Card for free with the game, as Pokemon Colosseum alone takes 48 Blocks! So I now only really use this Memory Card for the use of Pokemon Colosseum!

My Grade For The Memory Card: 7/10: On The Ball, Down-But Not Out, OK

My Wish: I just wish that the Memory Card had more block units for more space storage use! If only it was about 75-100 Blocks, that would have done the trick for me!

Final Comments: It's hard to give out an opinion for this Memory Card because I suppose it depends upon how many games and how frequent you play on the Nintendo Gamecube! Let's put it this way. If you own more than 15-20 Gamecube Games, get a 251 Block Memory Card, if you own about 5-10 Gamecube Games which take less than 59 Blocks each, get one of these! If you're stuck on choice, or you're going to obtain more Nintendo Gamecube Games than you think, I recommend you getting both! After all 251+59=310 Blocks can sure be handy! Remember that the new Nintendo Wii has just be released as well and you never know what data may need to be saved onto the Nintendo Gamecube Memory Card's using the Nintendo Wii!

Resident Evil 2 (GameCube)

Used Price: £13.77
New Price: £12.11

Review for Resident Evil 2 (GameCube):
This is one of the best horror games ever made
The plot of the game is just like the one of the second RE movie: the zombies and monsters have conquered Racoon City.
The atmosphere at the game is so tight that you are scared when you play it at night when it is dark outside and your're alone in the dark.
The gameplay is not so difficult but beginners should practise a bit before starting the missions.

Enjoy the creepy haunting!

Resident Evil (GameCube)

Review for Resident Evil (GameCube):
BRILLIANT IDEA FROM CAPCOM !!!
I love this game. It is an update of the original 1996 game of the same name. This version looks absolutely gorgeous, & it retains all the creepy atmosphere & shocks. The controls can be awkward sometimes, but this is only a minor complaint. There are some new areas to explore which are refreshing to play.

Resident Evil is one of the very finest games on the Gamecube. Highly recommended !!!

Super Smash Bros Melee

Used Price: £17.00
New Price: £31.50

Review for Super Smash Bros Melee:
when it comes to multiplayer, this game really shines
this is probably some of the best fun you will have on gamecube.having nintendo classic characters like mario(if you dont know him you should be ashamed)and link and making them destroy each other is strangely funny, fantastic and addictive.

casual gamers can just pick up the controller and master it in five minutes while hardcore gamers will love it as well.the buttons are very simple,A to attack,B and a certian direction to do a special move and X/Y to jump.

the gameplay from a fighter like tekken or soul caliber, has changed.instead of fighting until a persons life bars go down to zero, you have to keep attacking your opponent until there damage meter is quite high.the more damadge caused, the further they fly.then you have to unleash a powerful attack and knock them out the arena and at the end of a couple of minutes who ever gets knocked out the most loses!!!

as i said above its the multiplayer that makes this a must buy.the graphics arent pushing the gamecubes limits but are quite pretty.the lifespan is great on it.as long as you have another controller and a friend, this is endless fun.

my only main complaint is that some unlockable characters are clones of other character.dr mario has the same moves as mario and falco is an imitation of fox etc.apart from that, nintendo fans, people who love multiplayer, and people who are dying to smack pikachu with with a baseball bat then this is must buy.

Resident Evil Zero (GameCube)

Used Price: £10.74
New Price: £12.12

Review for Resident Evil Zero (GameCube):
Good, but 1 major flaw.
To be brief - most aspects of this game are very good - excellent graphics (maybe even surpassing the RE1 remake).
A little slower moving than RE2, 3 or 4, and maybe not as scary, but for the most part a very good game.

One big flaw detracts a lot of enjoyment though - the new method of managing items.
In the previous games (RE4 excluded) you carried items, and dropped them off in an item box in the save rooms, and you could then go to any other nearby item box anywhere eles in the game and retrieve them - it wasn't exactly realistic, but it worked well, once you'd popped potentially useful items into a box, you never had to go far to get them when needed.

In this one, there are no item boxes, instead you just drop an item on the floor wherever you are, and it stays there until you go back and collect it (and you still have very limited space to carry items around - 6 inventory spaces, and lots of items take up 2 spaces)

This may be more realistic, but it makes the game much more tedious if you are exploring it for yourself (and not following a walkthrough showing the most efficient route to take and which items to carry at particular times), because you will have to drop lots of items in order to carry enough ammo, keys, health etc. - just like in previous games - but unlike in previous games, when you later on come across a puzzle and realise you need an object you dropped half an hour earlier (which you regularly will), you have to painstakingly backtrack all the way to wherever you left it. The map helpfully marks the location of all items that you have dropped or examined so far, but it's still very annoying to find a puzzle, check your map, and realise that the object you need is miles away, instead of just as far as the nearest item box in the previous games.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Used Price: £9.95
New Price: £44.99

Review for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker:
What can i say its Zelda...
When i bought this game, i thought Cool two games in one! [I am ashamed to say i had never played the Orcarina of Time before, just started it now and it is excellent!] But when i first started playing i was hooked.
Graphics were the best i had ever seen, Story was brilliant [but not as good as ocarina ] and was so addictive!
People complain about the amount of sailing they have to do, but i think its the main feature of the game, and it has great music!

So this is what i would rate it:

Gameplay- 10/10
Graphics- 10/10
Story- 8/10
Music- 10/10

The only critism would be that the game was too short.
go buy it!

Star Wars: Rogue Leader - Rogue Squadron II

Used Price: £2.85
New Price: £19.00

Review for Star Wars: Rogue Leader - Rogue Squadron II:
Possibly the best star wars game ever
Although some of the complaints from other reviews are true, such as there being a couple of bland levels, this is an amazing game. Great sound, great graphics, great gameplay but most importantly you will love it if you love star wars.

Many of the levels see you taking control of wedge antilles carrying out missions that are not featured in the films such as the capture of the imperial shuttle tyderium. But of course there are also classic scenes from the films such as the death star trench run and the battle of endor.

It is extremely satisfying hitting your target after a long dogfight and the ship sounds are straight from the films. Get this before rogue squadron 3 as it is better in many ways. This is one of my favourite games ever and definately one of the best star wars based games around!

Pokémon Colosseum (With Free 59 Slot Memory Card)

Used Price: £5.99
New Price: £19.99

Review for Pokémon Colosseum (With Free 59 Slot Memory Card):
Gotta Snag 'em all!
You capture wild Pokémon only, right?

Wrong! The lead character in this game wears a device on his arm, allowing him to snag Pokémon. However, you still can't just snag any Pokémon.

Teaming up wth a girl who has the ability to see dark auras, you travel around rescuing"Shadow Pokémon", who's hearts have been sealed shut in labs. Caring for these Pokémon and taking them to a special place restores the Pokémon to their original state.

When you've snagged all the Shadow Pokémon, and restored them, you're said to be able to get Ho-oh as well. I can't vouch for that yet, but I'm working on it.

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (GameCube)

Used Price: £9.99
New Price: £12.10

Review for Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (GameCube):
The nemesis returns
Resident evil 3 was origianally released in november 1997 and was a brilliant game. Jill was brought back from resi 1 and the story was that jill had to escape from the t-virus infected raccoon city. When it was released on gamecube in 2003, many people thought it would be like the gamecube version of resi 1 with amazing graphics and new parts. However, this like resi 2 on the cube has the same graphics (except for the arms and legs which have been smoothed out) as the original. But that dosn't matter. The nemesis is the best boss ever and meets you around fourteen times depending how you play the game. That is also another good feature. Just like the original at certain parts you can choose what to do next. it makes the game evn more fun. As well as this though, nicholai is in it and he is really cool, not as good as wesker though. Anyway, nemesis is awesome and at parts is equipped with a rocket launcher. Half way through he loses this weapon and uses tentacles which is probably harder because you find yourself being slammed into the ground a lot and jill is proper slow at getting back up. The storyline is good and the game itself is probably better than resi 2. Even though in this game, the police station is in it too. There are some amazing weapons too such as handguns, assault rifles, grenade launchers, mine launchers, shotguns and the legendary magnum. There is also a bonus minigame which can help you earn even greater weapons such as a gatling gun. The city itself is full of monsters includin zombies, brain suckers, drain demos and the hunter. There are many locations and it is quite confusing in parts. Anyway this is a brilliant game no matter what anybody else says so GET IT NOW!!!

Review for Resident Evil Code: Veronica X (Gamecube):
veronica x
Picking up a few months after the events of resi 2 Claire Redfield investigating a umbrella facility in Europe is captured & imprisoned on Rockfort island the prison is attacked & the virus is once against set loose Claire attempts to escape the island while her brother Chris sets out to find her & settle a score with former S.T.A.R.S traitor Albert Wesker.
Code veronica x is a classic resi in every sense of the word complete with puzzles, herbs, typewriters & huge mutated freaks though its much longer than the others with a massive prison & an antarctic base to explore.
This is a port of the ps2 version & if you have a ps2 there is no point at all in buying this on GC but if you don't there's every reason to buy it a great game not quiet as good as the originals add in a extra battle game mode for more bang for your buck you get a dam good resident evil game.
