Perfect......well almost...
At last the new installation arrives! First of all i must say the 1 player can be a let down. It is great fun to do especially 2p but, come on, me and a few friends did in 1 day!(on easy). It's virtually impossible on some harder modes and the mansion is amazingly creepy(watch the videos in the mansion they're great!) but at the end of the day you only have arcade left. You do the easy challenges and thats that. You're then stuck until a friend comes over although it is great for a party!103
Review for Metroid Prime (Player's Choice GameCube):
Got it cheap from Game a year ago and didn't bother playing it till last month. What a fool.
Now I'm in a quandary: bought a Wii last week and have completely got into Super Mario Galaxy (looks great with a component cable on flatscreen BTW). Do I ditch Mario for Samus? And is it worth getting Metroid Prime 2 given that the Wii came with MP3? And why am I asking you? This isn't a forum!
I've heard that the visuals of Gamecube games played through a component cable on the Wii are improved...I just cannot wait to try this out. Really, it's making me lose control of all my bodily functions!

CRAZY TAXI !!!!! WOW!!!!
This game is highly addictive. it takes a little while to learn how to control the taxi proerly for example knowing the right sequence & timing to make the taxi boost.i have played the game on the arcades & find it has been converted to the home console very well.i must admit that the graphics are good but by todays standards are pretty average very much along the lines of the dreamcast version. i would highly recommend this game & a must for all gamecube owners.105
Review for Wario Ware Inc. Mega Party Games (GameCube):
fortunate enough to own 3 friends, then you're in luck. With 12 modes of multiplayer games, each of which can be played with 2,3,or 4 players, things can get out of hand.
Some modes of play include one of my favorites,"Card E-Cards", which takes on a card game mechanic, and then theres"Wobbly-Bobbly", Where players must balance on top of turtles (don't ask) in-between mini-games. The only real downsides of this game is the single palyer aspects, with no new micro games, and the fact that all the micro games are directly emulated from the GBA version of Wario Ware. But if you're looking for some true fun with your friends, Wario Ware Mega Party Game$ is definatly worth a purchase.

another great multi-player
It was bound to happen...True multiplayer madness. Wario Ware Inc. Mega Party Game$ is the best multiplayer title since Super Smash Bros. Melee. As a single player experience, it comes out as a little shallow. If you'refortunate enough to own 3 friends, then you're in luck. Review for Viewtiful Joe:
the first level definitelytakes you a day or 2 to complete and you have to make sure you pick KIDS when it says at the beginning what difficulty you want. i’d like to see kids try and do this game.
the graphics are inventive and it’s certainly a good story line but in the end you’ll bored of the graphics and realise it’s adull story line and be left with a game you’ll never complete and catch phrase your sick of.

Review for FIFA 06 (GameCube):
Tries to be too clever but fails
This game is alright if you're playing with friends as you're all in the same boat as far as functionality goes, but against the computer this game is way way way too frustrating. Stick it on Amateur and you win every game 10-nil, stick it one difficulty setting up and the computer just picks up every single loose ball, runs twice as fast as all your players.. closes in on you for every ball, is almost impossible to tackle, blocks every shot, and takes the ball from you instantly as soon as you get it 70% of the time. You can avoid the latter by using the 'nifty' C-stick control that aims the first touch on the ball... only to be tackled instantly by the next player. All this time your computer controlled team-mates stand around looking stupid and doing nothing.I enjoyed this game for about an hour until i realised all the faults.
I would say avoid this game because there are loads better out there... the older FIFA's for example!

Review for Wireless Microcon Controller (GameCube):
Pros:
- Well made, strong build quality
- Grips are good, and the buttons feel positive (if you hit them, they respond immediately)
- Wireless works perfectly - you just have to plug the receiver into the console, switch the controller on, and when the red light stops blinking, it is connected). I've been using it over a range of about 5 meters, and the wireless doesn't lose signal or cut out.
Cons
- The biggest problem is that the console is really small! Great for people with small hands, but a touch on the small size for everyone else.
- I found that the grips and the buttons are a tad too close together - I can still use it, and it doesn't harm gameplay too much, but its a bit uncomfortable after a while.
- No batteries (I bought some AAA rechargables, which cost me £5, so you have to factor in that cost, plus the cost of a memory card (about £10 for 64mb), as you can't use the Wii's internal memory or the SD card to save progress on Gamecube games).
In summary - good, perfect for Gamecube games if you don't want to get tangled up with wires or if you want to play games more than 3 meters away from your TV. Also, bear in mind that you can't use the Wii's Classic Controller for Gamecube games, and that Nintendo's own"Wavebird" wireless controller costs about £30 and is now very hard to find.

Good, but you need a new memory card.
I was really looking forward to fifa 2005, being a fan of the series, so as soon as it did, I immediately snatched it up. I wasn’t disapointed. The first touch control with the C-stick is genius. If you get it right, you can split the defense right open. If you get it wrong, the defender takes the ball straight away from you. The only downside is this:IT TAKES UP TOO MUCH OF YOUR MEMORY!!!

Sonic Mega Collection
I have been a huge Sega and Sonic fan for many years now, and i think this collection of Sonic's games on the mega drive is a awesome set to have and a real bargain. In the collection you have sonic 1, 2, 3 sonic and knuckles sonic 3D Flickies Island, sonic spinball and Dr Robotnik's mean bean machine. You also have extras like over 100 sonic comix book illustrations and character artwork plus the history of sonic. When i played sonic 1 and 2 on this game it was simply amazing it brought back many memories from my childhood etc so i recommend to any Sega or Sonic fan this superb set for the Gamecube.112
Review for Ikaruga:
It's a stunning game which works on a single, yet incredible gameplay feature: you can change your ship from white to black. No doubt it's been described in detail by another reviewer, so I won't go into much here. I'll just say that this very simple addition makes a whole lot of difference to the way you play. Without it this would be a standard 2D shooter. With it it's one of the most intelligent and challenging games ever made.
It's also getting harder to get hold of- so buy yourself a copy quick!

Review for Ikaruga:
Yet another 5-star review, let me tell you exactly why!
Ikaruga is the best 2D shooter I have ever played, bar none- and I have played a lot of them! The fact the there is a practice mode where you can re-play every specific section of every level over and over again just shows how difficult this game is. It's not frustratingly difficult however, as every time you play it you will improve. You just feel drawn to having another go, to rack up a better score, get further than you did last time or play it perfectly like the included demos suggest! It's a stunning game which works on a single, yet incredible gameplay feature: you can change your ship from white to black. Words can not describe how bad this is! But I'm gonna try anyway.
Quite simply, this game is awful. Wanna know why? How long have you got? Actually, it wont take that long for me to describe, all I need to say is"The mini games are crap." and thats about all there is for me to say about it. There's nothing else bad about the game, but only because the mini games are all there is to the game. Avoid, under all circumstances.114

Review for The Sims (GameCube):
Stupid Monkey!
The Sims is a amazing game, you design a sim and start your life in your mom's house, this is one of the seven levels in the game. You have to find youslf a job, a new place to live and keep yourself happy. In each level there are a set of goals, you must complete every goal on the list to proceed to the next level. You must be careful however, you need a smoke alarm incase of a fire, a burgular alarm, you also need to watch your cash make sure you don't loose your job and not get obducted by aliens. I suppose you are wondering, and have been since you started reading this review, why I have chosen such a strange title. The reason is because I feel I should warn you about a fault in the game. If you the helper monkey get rid of him immidiatly, If you don't and you meet him in a doorway he will freeze and do a sort of jog on the spot. You have to get someone else to go and cage him. This fault cost my sim his job so I had to restart the level. Other than that this is a great game and I would recoend it to anyone who is a cotrol freak!115

Bondage that is at an average
This game is really a typical average shooter. It isnt really special and there are no characters from the film. My favourite part of the game is the car levels. The area in these levels are quite large and there are lots of pickups for your cars avalible. If you like Bond and are a fan of stylish cars this will be the game for you. If not and you like shoot 'em ups then I recommend Timespliters 2 or Metroid Prime.116

But the gameplay itself is good. I got this as a birthday present, but wasn't sure how it would be. But it is seriously good fun, especially the Smack Attack mode, where you just beat the cr*p out of the opposition.

Review for Shrek 2 (GameCube):
The gameplay is fast, frantic and furious button bashing - however this is mixed with just the right amount of puzzle solving and mini games. These include chasing a carriage while riding a dragon or finding a needle in a haystack! You can play as one of the 4 characters on screen by simply changing character at any time - you just hit L or R. Each character has special moves and this adds to the gameplay as you require some characters to do certain tasks. It's a good idea and works very well. The only criticism would be the ease of which this game can be completed - The final fight, although initialy challenging, is also annoyingly easy.
Graphically its wonderful, and looks close to the film. It really pushes the Gamecube, which is nice to see, and the framerate is usualy quick. The sounds and voices are done by voice actors. The lines are funny and add to the game lots! The voices sound similar to those in the movie, but by far the best is the eddie murphy (donkey) sound-a-like.
The game also allows up to three of your mates to join in the action, which helps add to the gameplay.
Overall it is a good game that looks lovely and will definately bring a chuckle to all who play it. It is just too short and most gamers will complete it within the weekend. A multiplayer battle would have been a welcome extra, but never mind. Worth buying or at least renting. Well done Activision!

Fun, but short-lived, 'Ass' kicking fun!
As a huge Shrek fan, I bought this game as soon as it was released. I was pleased to discover that the game was not just a rushed movie tie-in and could quite easily stand as a great game in its own right. Luckily te Shrek license just adds to this great game. The gameplay is fast, frantic and furious button bashing - however this is mixed with just the right amount of puzzle solving and mini games. Dissapointing.
Im sorry to say but i bought this game with high esteem expecting a cannon full of laughs just like"Worms Armageddon" but i found the newest"Worms 3d" to be something i could only play when i wanted a very slow strategic shooter which would cause me to feel annoyed over the painfully slow game play..The graphics are great with lots of funny cutscenes between the main aggrovation. I may be pointing out all the bad points about this game but from first time i turned it on i found grief. If i would have known this game would be this dissapointing i would have never had bought it!
