At last I beat the little devils!

Having suffered my neighbours/neighbourhood cats fouling my garden on a daily basis (not the flowerbeds - but the actual middle of the lawn!), I was really at the end of my thether. My garden was beginning to resemble fort knox, with all the deterents - prikka strips on top of fences, chicken wire across gaps, staking out the back bedroom window with various objects to throw, etc, etc.

Bought this, installed it in the garden, and not one cat has been back in my garden since. I spy them sitting on my neighbours fences - longingly looking into my garden, but not one fresh poop since I installed it! Excellent.

Best Pest Repellant Invention that actually works

you would not beleive it, but this item really works. Previous reviewer was absolutely correct. We bought 8 plugs and scattered around the house. During the first week we kept seeing the mouses, however the repeller must have been annoying them until the mouses gave up and left. Its been 3 weeks now, our home is free.

It is much more easier to go to sleep knowing that no rodent is going to bother you. i bought these from Amazon for about £20, other websites had this at £30, so it was a bargain.

Well done Amazon for putting this product up.

excellent drying towel, really sucks up the water, rinses and dries quickly too.
ideal to take on holiday, folds small, takes less room than the swimming costume.

The Pink Garden Kit

Well, THIS IS THE KIT for gardeners, because its pink. Also as it has stainless steel pink handle it is easy to clean! I also enjoyed how light each object is to man handle because of the nylon bound covers.

No nonsense, does what it says on the tin

I've had this mower for a year now and can say this is a no nonsense mower that does the job and does it well. Excellent build quality, simple but efficient design and very lightweight. Ideal for small to medium sized lawns.

Pros:
- Very simple to put together
Took 5 minutes or less to assemble. Can't remember thinking twice about putting it together now when we got it.

- Very lightweight
Easy to carry around to and from the garage to the lawns. Carries easily with just one hand.

- Easily adjustable height
Easy to adjust height of blade, has a notch system to adjust to 3 different height settings. Only really use one to be fair :)

- Simple but efficient design
Probably the most important feature about this mower is the lack of features! There's not a lot to go wrong with this mower because the design is so simple which is a good thing if you're not using the mower every single day and don't need x number of bells and whistles. At the same time the design is excellent, it just does the job and does it very well.

- Easily replaceable blade
There's just one rotary blade underneath that can be replaced easily if it gets blunted or whatever.

- Easy to remove grass collection box
The box fits onto the mower by lifting a spring-loaded flap at the back and hooking the box onto the mower and the flap acts to hold the box down on the hooks to stop it bouncing off. Very sturdy.


Cons:
- Not suitable for large lawns
The footprint on this mower is quite small - maybe 2ft or less(?). As a result I wouldn't want to use this mower on a lawn over 50sq metres.

- Lack of features
As I said above the lack of features on this mower makes it great in my opinion, however for some this could be a down side. If you do want xyz features then this isn't the mower for you, it's a very simple but effective design but won't make the coffee for you :)

- Slightly 'cheap' look to it
Thought twice about mentioning this - by 'cheap' I mean the main body is made of plastic which kind of gives it a cheap look to it. However having said this the build quality itself isn't 'cheap', design seems very well thought out as mentioned above. If you want to keep your mower on display to show your mowing prowess or have the need to 'keep up with the jones', maybe go for something else :)

In summary - if you don't want a lot of features and just want a mower that does the job well, this is for you.

What's more embarassing? Showing your butt, or wetting your pants?

I found this product lured you into a false sense of security - I used it a couple of times ok, but the fit was awkward and uncomfortable, and I could not get a reliable"seal" but that was nothing to the embarrassment I felt returning from out of a ditch with wet hiking trousers to meet my hiking buddies. I was in tears. Ironically, I had to walk in my waterproof trousers until I could find an obliging stream to wash in, which being in North Sweden was damn cold! I threw the thing away at the next bin I found! As well, the logistics of tucking a used shewee in your bag somewhere if there is no source of rinsing around is frankly off-putting.

Goodbye Dandelions

Worked right out of the box (I've always wanted to say that but as I mostly review books I haven't been able to until now) well, after a bit of assembly. I've used it several times and it is very maneuverable owing to the fairly large wheels. Makes a suitably throaty operating noise so the neighbours will know when your out cutting with your Bosch.

The range of cut heights is excellent. The wheels are raised or lowered by a chunky gear lever devise and it does take a bit of getting used too because it works in conjunction with a strong spring. A really nice touch is the carrying handle on the top, seems such a simple idea but plenty of electric mowers don't have it. My only crit is the roller to create stripes is not as wide as the actual cutting strip but as few folks round here will see them I can live with that.

Tip for a long lasting machine: After use I always get rid of grass cuttings with an old paintbrush and my previous Qualcast rotary lasted fourteen years (far longer than manufacturers would like) but now too old, in fact, to replace the cutting blade so I chose a Bosch and so far a good buy.

Have Not Caught Any Mice in Over Two Months

I have tried this in various locations in my flat but caught nothing.

I had no problems with fitting the batteries and the unit charges with the light and buzzing noise described on the side.

I have tried using peanut butter and rolos as bait (separately) but not had any take. I have found droppings very close to the trap.

I have resorted to using little nippers (where rolo as bait has worked) in combination with poison from the local authority pest control unit, after months of stuffing holes with wire wool and expanding foam, and trying ultrasonic and ultrasonic/electromagnetic plugs to no avail.

I understand some of the comments about the inhumanity, but when the problem is persistent and the sound of the mice wakes you at night repeatedly then you have to find something effective to deal with the problem.

We have a ptrol Mountfield which I jhate starting as I have a bad shoulder.

I thought this might make life just a bit easier.

The mower is easy to start and if you read the instructions incredibly easy to assemble. There is even some charge on the battery so you can see it work once assembled.

It is very light and easy too use. The battery comes out with the pop of a button. The hopper just clicks into place.

So if you want a light weight easy start then this is it.

The only torch you ever need?

Or thats the quote on many a website. I bought this torch as an aid for my outdoor persuits including finding my chocolate brown lab in the darker months.

I was replacing a 4D cell maglite that i used to own and was looking for a long life LED version when i stumbled upon this.

The battery life is supposed to be 50 hours plus and the range of the beam 60m. It has a flood - focus adjustment (operated in the same way as the maglite). The focus is incredibly bright and intense, but the flood is still quite focussed; I dont get the same coverage I did from the maglite but the light is much whiter and range is equally as good.

I was more impressed by build quality. All screw fittings feel well engineered and secure. Rubber seals are neat and well sized but my biggest shock came when I opened the torch up to inspect the battery compartment. Instead of the usual method of inserting the battery, this torch has a canister type arrangement that is completely removed, put batteries in the insert, replace the insert, but the most surprising thing is the attention to quality; all contacts and current pathways are gold plated for the best possible connection.

All this coupled with the small size, weatherproof construction, incredible light weight, pouch with belt loop and clip and well presented packaging makes this the only torch I will ever need.

Garden lights

Look very nice, easy to assemble but plastic spike to put in the ground is very feeble.

Dissapointing performance does not trim short edges - difficult and fidley to change line spool and head rotation for edge cutting -heavy to use.
