Review for Oxo Good Grips 28181 - Garlic Press:
Looks sturdy, but looks are deceptive
This broke two months after I bought it, at the pivot, which is a problem I've had with a few presses now. Also, it did not press particularly well. As another reviewer has mentioned, it largely escapes round the edges.I'll be continuing my hunt for a garlic press that can stay the distance!

Review for Garlic Card - Purees Garlic Quickly & Easily - Blue:
The item arrived a few days ago and I tried it out for the first time last night. I did manage to puree about a third of the clove, but the process was so messy my hands still smell of garlic nearly 24 hours later. It is so hard to hold on to the diminishing clove that at one point it flew out of my hand and over to the other side of the kitchen.
I put the Garlic Card straight in the bin and will happily revert to using my old garlic crusher, content in the knowledge that cleaning it is much less hassle than trying to puree a clove of garlic on a small, ridged piece of plastic.

Review for Garlic Card - Purees Garlic Quickly & Easily - Blue:
You give clove a bad name
I bought the Garlic Card as an antidote to the main disadvantage of the traditional garlic crusher, ie that it is quite difficult to clean. I have to say I was very disappointed indeed. In short, it doesn't work very well at all.The item arrived a few days ago and I tried it out for the first time last night. Review for Faringdon 5cm Metal Garlic Press With Cherry Destoner:
poor quality
I washed it once in the dishwasher adn all the shine came off and the press itself then left a dirty smudge on whatever it came into contact with.10

Review for Garlic Card - Purees Garlic Quickly & Easily - Green:
Overall, though, I'm still not sure I'd recommend buying one - certainly not if you're paying delivery too! However, if you've got a credit card that's about to run out... you might just have found a new use for it.

Review for Garlic Card - Purees Garlic Quickly & Easily - Green:
Ridiculously overpriced, but nice and simple
Not being a fan of your regular garlic crushers (fiddly to clean), I've used a garlic card for a year or so now. Thankfully, it was a present, so I never saw the price - otherwise I'd not have got one. That said, it's a genius idea. Simple to use, simple to clean. Getting my fingers a little messy doesn't bother me in the slightest - you're cooking for crying out loud! Mess happens. The only problem can be getting the entire clove's flesh pulped, as things get a bit slippy once you're half way through one. That said, it's no worse than the waste I've had with garlic presses.Overall, though, I'm still not sure I'd recommend buying one - certainly not if you're paying delivery too! However, if you've got a credit card that's about to run out... you might just have found a new use for it.

Review for Garlic Card - Purees Garlic Quickly & Easily - Yellow:
Absolutely awful
This is the most useless kitchen gadget I have ever bought. It simply doesn't do what it says. You'd be better off squashing the garlic between your fingers. Avoid this rubbish at all costs.17

long lasting
I have had this for about five years and its only just broken it has come apart in the middle. Its discoloured a bit from being in the dishwasher a million times but other than that its been very good. The garlic peel comes off in one bit so its easy to throw away. I will be buying this again.
