Review for Xbox Live 12 month Gold Membership Card:
a rip off !
don't get me wrong xbox live is essential and great fun. But ea games do not work if you are under 18.Yet the biggest problem is its £40.00. Playstation 3 online services (playstation network) is free and so is wii. wii is inferior to xbox in online play but ps3 is the same quality online yet free. So why do 360 owners have to pay? A COMPLETE RIP OFF!

More Brain Training (Nintendo DS)

Our Price: £16.98 & this item Delivered FREE in the UK with Super Saver Delivery. See details & conditions
Used Price: £10.00
New Price: £15.28

Review for More Brain Training (Nintendo DS):
Making Brain Training more fun
Other reviews can tell you about all the features in this game, so I'll try to keep it short.

The training programs are more varied and enjoyable than the previous game's. Some of the challenges include unscrambling words, remembering numbers and even playing a musical piece. However, I did find a couple of the games tedious. There are also again plenty of free or assisted Sudoku puzzles and a hidden mini-game which is quite addictive.

One of the big irritations from the previous game remains - poor handwriting recognition. As well as numbers, you will have to write symbols and letters, which the game may often fail to understand! Voice recognition is also a bit unreliable on the Rock, Paper, Scissors game.

All the training programs can be unlocked in only about 2 weeks of daily playing, so you may not have much motivation to keep training afterwards. I suppose though players might also give up if they were not rewarded so regularly! You may also get irritated by Dr Kawashima with his reptitive comments after every session, Some are even the same as in the first game.

If you enjoyed the first Brain Training game, you should like this one too! If you don't have either, I would recommend buying both games. Whilst I think overall the second is better, I prefer the warm-up games and Brain Age tests in the previous.

Review for SanDisk for Wii 2GB SECURE DIGITAL (GAMING):
"Official" Wii SD card? Aye Right!
Why Why Why Why Why spend double the money for an"official" (in other words"white") version of a standard SD card. There is no difference in the specs. Its simple, dont bother.

the SD card is inserted into the Wii anyway so nobody sees or cares what colour it is!!!

Boreing!!!!
I originaly thought that this game would be a solid addition to my games catelogue for the wii, but I was more than a little dissapointed.
It is the same old thing over and over again,as previous comments have stated it all comes down to how quick you are, and unless you have speed on your side this game will reach a certain stage were you can go no further.
In retrospect I wish i had saved my cash for another game!

Red Console for DS Lite (Nintendo DS)

Our Price: £99.98 & this item Delivered FREE in the UK with Super Saver Delivery. See details & conditions
Used Price: £92.99
New Price: £99.98

Review for Red Console for DS Lite (Nintendo DS):
Fabulous bright, shiny red
This new colour is a fabulous bright, shiny red and looks great. Was worried the colour may be a bit orangey or pinkish but it's not at all. It looks sleek, glossy and cool.

This is easy to use, light to carry and the fully charged battery lasts for around 16 hours when set on low screen brightness. The two screens are really handy as it saves flipping back and forth between modes as in some GBA games or adds extra elements in others. The touch screen is fun and adds an extra dimension to game-play over the gameboy advance.

The wi-fi connectivity allows game play with friends and connection to the internet to play with other Nintendo gamers. There is a calendar, a clock and an alarm. It has built in stereo speakers and a microphone socket. Overall I think it is excellent value for money (these days) and great fun to use.

Family Trainer: Outdoor Challenge (Wii)

Our Price: £39.98 & this item Delivered FREE in the UK with Super Saver Delivery. See details & conditions
New Price: £39.98

Review for Family Trainer: Outdoor Challenge (Wii):
very disappointing, not a patch on wii fit
The games are very repetitive, very basic, and very short. Some people might be tempted to buy this because they can't get hold of wii fit - my advice is - DON'T. They have blatantly tried to cash in on the popularity of wii fit by putting the word"trainer" in the title but it is not in the same league.

Another reviewer complained that it mainly consisted of a lot of jumping. This is true and the only good thing about it for me. But it is only good for me because I am having to teach my body how to jump following an accident. In any other circumstances, I would probably give it even fewer stars!

just edited to add that in use, the mat slides about all over the place (on a thick-piled carpet) and has to be repositioned mid-game.

Remote Charging Stand (Wii)

New Price: £9.21

Review for Remote Charging Stand (Wii):
Great item, some bad reviews are unfounded and inaccurate
This item works a treat, I've read the other bad reviews and would like to clarify some points.

1) The 2nd charger does work properly
2) The charger does work on the Wii standby mode. Just switch the Wii on, then put it into standby and the charger stays on. It works when the USB power supply from the Wii is powered up.
3) Battery life depends on what batteries you buy for it. If you buy bad batteries, don't blame the charger.

The unit looks fantastic with its blue glow and neatly stores the Wii as well as the remotes. Nice and tidy.

The only reason it loses a star is because even with the latest AAA rechargeable batteries you can't play this all evening without needing to put the chargers back in the base. AA batteries would be a better option but the design would not allow this.

Remeber to get some AAA rechargeable batteries when you buy the item, and try to get 1000maH or more.

Endless Ocean (Wii)

Used Price: £14.99
New Price: £14.50

Review for Endless Ocean (Wii):
Lovely game, but not for hardcore
I think this game is great, but its definitely not for the hard core gamer market. My six year old also loves it, she's played it the most (some 20 hrs in a week). There is a plot to it, and some tasks, but on the whole they are both relatively simple. The fun is finding & identifying the sea life and seeing what animals will turn up on your boat. The"ocean" can get a bit familiar - its all basically tropical reef & white sand - although there are some"features" like a cave, ruin, deep raveen etc. We can all identify a load more breeds of sea life than we could before. Definitely worth the price. Very relaxing to just drift about in the sea for a while after work!

Turquoise Console for DS Lite (Nintendo DS)

Our Price: £99.98 & this item Delivered FREE in the UK with Super Saver Delivery. See details & conditions
Used Price: £79.00
New Price: £94.99

Review for Turquoise Console for DS Lite (Nintendo DS):
Great Fun
Ahhh... Nintendo. Nobody can beat Nintendo when it comes to the handheld gaming market. Nokia had a go with the N-Gage. I've only ever seen one N-Gage. And Sony had a slightly more respectable go with the PSP, which, while fun, broke fairly easily, became scratched and generally fell out of favour among those who wanted a more pick-up-and-play gaming experience.
The DS Lite improves on Nintendo's original release by making the console thinner, lighter and considerably better to look at. It's clear the Japanese gaming gurus took onboard all of the initial criticisms (of which there were not many) and built something that defies all expectations of handheld gaming.

To start with: the graphics. 2d graphics are crystal clear with bright, vibrant colours and a great resolution. The majority of DS games use a 2 dimensional system which, although not as good looking as 3d graphics, still work astonishingly well withing the context of the games. 3d graphics come as standard a lot more on later DS games as it's capabilities were put to better use, but graphics are not quite on par of those on the PSP.

The sound out of the DS is also fairly impressive. Sporting a pair of small speakers- one on either side of the upper screen- the DS is capable of producing stereo sound. For those who like their sound crisper, the DS also has a headphone port. The volume control is on the closest edge of the DS, meaning it is very difficult to change accidentally while playing a game.

The DS Lite is compatible with both DS cards and Gameboy Advance cartridges. Sadly, it is no longer compatible with the original gameboy cartridges as the Gameboy Advance was. As DS software is region-free you can play US or Japanese imports on your DS without having to resort to risky modifications.

One of the main things that the DS has going for it, however, is the multiplayer aspect of the games. Most games have some sort of multiplayer mode built in meaning with more than one DS you and your friends could all play on the same game together. Several great games also have a DS Download Play feature, where only one game card is needed for a group of people to play all or part of the multiplayer game.

The new lines of the DS Lite makes it look gorgeous and more than a little bit elegant. The case is hard-wearing and has a feel of quality about it. All of the buttons are responsive but solid and the screens do not scratch easily. The folding clam-shell design further protects the screens when not in use and the stylus has been thickened slightly since the console's predecessor to allow it to be used easier.

The DS Lite is a great console for family and friends. With a strong focus on the multiplayer market, Nintendo have created a wonderful console with a massive range of family friendly games for fun for all ages.

Used Price: £49.00
New Price: £49.75

Review for Xbox 360 Wireless Bridge (Required For Wireless Online/Live Play):
Wireless bridge- costly, but reliable and worth it.
How much of a hit this product will be with you depends on how simple you find it to set your console up to your network. It took me weeks. However, it took me weeks with a D-Link router, to work with with this bridge, and it never worked properly, but it took minutes to set it up with a netgear router. Since then it has worked fine, and opened up X-box live to me. Get it if:
You can't really get wired
You are good with computers and networks or know someone who is
You have a good router ( i recommend Netgear ADSL2)
((( I rated this products fun on xbox lives fun, and i took a star off for price and how long it took me to set it up.

Sony Blu-Ray Disc Remote Control (PS3)

New Price: £19.56

Review for Sony Blu-Ray Disc Remote Control (PS3):
Why no volume control??
I bought this a couple of days after purchasing a PSP3. While it has some great functions and is very user-friendly, there is one MAJOR problem, you have to reach for the TV/DVD control to adjust the volume... Why? Surely the technology (seemingly very simple technology at that) is there to add a simple volume adjuster to this device??

For that reason I would only give this a modest 3 out of 5.

Come on Sony, DO BETTER!!
