Although it had reasonable sound to begin with, the left earphone gradually cut out as the wire had somehow broken on the adapter part of the headphones. Incredibly flimsy and eventually all sound cut off.Needs better build.

Genuine i think not...
Wishful thinking maybe, but as the title said 'genuine' i assumed it would be a genuine Sony Ericsson charger. Sure it fits into my K800i nicely and charges, but when pull the charger connection out, the two locating pegs get stuck in the phone, and have to pull them out with my teeth...Never had that problem with my original charger!10

Quality is average, Great for travelling, Better all round alternatives out there
I found that the quality of the sound is average, I certainly can't have them nice and loud through these speakers as it begins to pierce the eardrum. One major advantage of these is that they are great for travelling as they fold up and take up hardly any space. Your phone docks nicely on to them so they look like they belong (not sure about the colour though). However, try the Sony SRS range of speakers, they will plug into the jack from your headphone adapter and although they won't dock they will produce a much better sound (plus there's two speakers so they'll give a more natural"surround" experience). Alternatively, if you already own a decent hifi with decent sound, the I recommend the MPP-60, I've placed a review on for them and would highly recommend them as they are much cheaper.12

Why The Bad Press?
The sony ericsson w580i is a brilliant phone, the shake control is a really clever idea, it has amazingly good sound especially as it only as small speakers, it feels solid, the battery life is reasonable but could be better. Why are people saying the camera is rubbish? I mean, you can choose how many megapixels you use when you take a photo, the outlines are funny and look good. The trackID feature is very clever, it takes a recording of a song you hear on the radio, and tells you what the song is called, who it's by, and what album it's on. So why all the bad press???? It's a brilliant phone.15

Good quality replacement for battered original

these are very good. very good sound and brilliant to just pack away. the only thing is that the connector is very weak. had mine only a couple of months and a part of plastic on the connector snaped in my phone. so now i have a peice of plastic stuck in my sony ericsson. if you want to pay a bit extra get the mbs-100 speaker it is bluetooth and just amazing19

I bought these earphones after loosing my K750i 's earphones and needed something that I can turn up the volume and not disturb other commuters on the train. This is perfect! It fits snuggly in your ear and the sound goes only in your ear.It is a two-piece set, with the earphone's plugging into the microphone, which plugs into the phone with the Sony Ericsson adapter. The headphones can be used on normal earphone jacks but you would need an extension...
