Superb All In One

This is a fantastic Printer/Scanner/Copier. Very easy to set up using the User Guide and works flawlessly within my wireless network. Id recently swapped from a desktop to a Laptop and decided that i wanted a wireless printer to go with it. Really pleased i went with this one. It does everything it says it does effortlessly and is so easy to use. Was set up within 30 mins of taking out of the box (at least 10 mins of that unpacking/installing the inks etc). very Highly Recommended!

Good replacement

I am sold on Canon products and their printers are particularly economic with ink, giving one of the lowest unit costs per page for all printer makes. The iP2600 was bought to replace my Canon i550 which cost £99.99 on sale in October 2003 and gave up only because the ink dump became full and not because of fault (too expensive to fix). On the down side the iP2600 cartridges do not appear to be capable of diy refill, will somebody correct me? On the upside it is faster than the i550 and has a smaller footprint. Very easy and quick to install and Canon does respond to email queries. So, I'm well pleased with this replacement and hope it lasts 5 years.

Good value

Very good photo's, good scanner and coppier. Changing the ink could be easier but overall very happy. Arrived within 4 days

High Quality photo Printer

I bought this printer for my sister in law's 80th birthday . She does not like using her computer software for printing her digital photos . It is also not very convenient to take the card to the shops for printing . She is absolutely delighted with this printer . It was very easy to set up , works perfectly and produces very high quality prints in about 90 seconds . If you have a digital camera, this is all you will ever need to produce excellent prints of your favorite shots . I would highly recommend this printer which is well worth the money ! .

NOT A BAD PRINTER AT ALL

I THINK THIS IS QUITE A GOOD ALL ROUND PRINTER IT SEEMS TO PRINT QUITE HIGH QUALITY PRINT OUTS. I ONLY REALLY WANTED TO BUY PRINTER FOR PRINTING OFF E-MAILS AND RECEIPTS FOR ANYTHING I ORDER ON-LINE SO IT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED

HP DESKJET D1460 -OK for Linux

This cheap printer works well on Linux as well as XP and Vista. Depending on the Linux distribution, the options are D1400, D1300 or DJ3320. Operation is slightly slower compared to Windows with the first page printed first. My needs are for draft with the occasional normal function. However, colour is good and the occasional photos have printed up well as long as I remember to select best. I've used the printer for over a year and use black HP21 cartridges filled by myself. HP cartridges last about 6 refills, but should not be overfilled - I use 4ml instead of 5ml. The 'replace' notification can be reset, but I don't bother. For the price, it's worth a '5'.

Outstanding value product.

I have had an Epson A3 for several years. When it packed up I was told it would cost almost £200 to repair! I decided to look for a replacement. The
A3 epson had some poor reveiws so I looked at the Canon printers. I was stunned by the possible saving, so checked the replacement ink prices. These too seemed very reasonable. So I took the plunge, I have many other Canon products that all have proved to be top quality.
I have been amazed by this machines speed and exceptional quality printing on all types of media. The A3+ size glossy prints are superb, and mono photo prints are rich in tonality and depth.
I agree with one or two others it is a bit clunky taking the paper in, and spits it out with venom, a minor issue. The results make this an outstanding product I would recommend to anyone requiring upto A3+ printing with results far above the budget A3 printer price.

Best printer Ive owned

This printer is the best printer Ive ever had. It prints fast, Never jams and holds soo much paper which is nicely tucked away, so keeps fresh and clean and is easy to set it up to print on envelopes and different sizes of paper.
The options are so simple and even someone which zero computer experience could operate this printer.
To scan you simply lift the lid and put your picture in and press what type file it is and scan - that simple
Photocopy is simple to use to... The ink carts go in the front and are easy to change, In three months my inks have hardly moved from full.
I work from home and use this alot. Not once have i had a problem in three months..
It keeps so clean as well and never traps dust because of the layout, paper is keep fresh and the lid to scan/copy shuts down tight.
The tiny screen on the front is easy to read to and lifts up for a better view. The buttons are layed out well and no problems if you have big fingers.. A clear description next to each button to so you dont have to spend ages reading instructions either.
Have not tested the fax so can't comment on that.
Software is great to and user friendly..
Takes about ten mins to set up and install drivers. Instructions are simple to read with step by step clear diagrams how to put ink in and change paper and where the usb cable goes.

Anyone who buys this printer will be very impressed and its hard to believe it only costs 60pounds (check Argos) .. If it cost me 120pounds i would still say its worth every penny.

FANTASTIC VALUE FOR MONEY

Having just bought a wireless laptop I decided it would be useful for me to be able to print general letters etc on a printer which would not take much room and be able to print wirelessly at a cheap price. The instructions were extremely easy to understand and the printer was installed in about 10 mins from opening the box. It looks a bit cheap and tinny but for the price I paid, I think it is incredible value for money and it is extremely fast. Money well spent

Great wireless network printer!

I took delivery of my HP deskjet this morning. It has taken 1.5 hours to get everything up and going. Which in my book is pretty good! I have installed it using the ethernet cable into my wireless router, and then wirelessly onto 2 Windows Vista PCs, one XP PC and one XP Laptop. All 4 computers are connecting to the printer and working fine.

The build and print quality look really good too.

I have had Epsons for the last 20 years but got fed-up of replacing them an an almost annual basis! So this is my first HP printer, and so far I am impressed with the ease of use and setting up on my wireless network.

Had a quick look at ink cartridge costs too, and they appear to be cheaper than the Epson ones.

one of the best printers

i bought this printer from amazon about 12 months ago still going strong the best printer i have bought and this is my 5th prnter in 4 years wireless is great its so good my uncle went and bought one then my cousin and even they would recommend it. One the best user friendly wireless devices out there.

Great, but a French product supplied.

Bought this for wireless capability and style - much smaller & neater than Epson or others. very easy to set up & works well on all PC's in the house. quality ok. BUT - bought from Pixmania and was supplied as a french sourced product. mains adaptor was the wrong sort so did not work, had to use one from the old printer, quick start guide was in french or german, and 2 versions of control panel in french or german. so this was dissapointing. why was a european version supplied to a uk address? otherwise very pleased.

Excellent value for money

Was looking for a very reasonable priced wireless printer.
The set-up was very easy to follow from CD rom supplied with printer.
It picked up the wireless signal quickly and it functions with both XP and Vista system (which was not the case with my old printer)
The speed and quality is also very reasonable. The quality surprised me in fact.
Photoprinting with pictbridge, memorycards and flash drive, scanning and copying are possible.
The only downside I can find is the size of the printer but knew the measurements when I purchased so that is not a complaint.

Don of printers

This is the best printer I have ever owned. It prints up to A3, and is very quick, and quiet.

It is economical with the ink, but I would suggest you buy the extended cartridges(339-black), as these hold 4times the ink for only a few pounds more. It prints quite good colour pictures on the standard colour cartridge, but you can buy a photo cartridge that makes them even better.

I use this printer on building sites, so it gets plenty of rough handling and dust, which have not caused it any problems yet. Unlike some other printers you can turn this one upside down or on end for transport, without ink going everywhere. I will be purchasing another one soon, as we have found it to be an invaluable piece of kit, and my workmates are jealous.

Poor

Printed well for a couple of times but then told me the ink cartridges were incompatible and refused to print. This was definitely not the case as the cartridges had worked perfectly well for the first couple of times and they were the ones that came with the printer when it was bought. I also know they hadn't run out of ink because last time the ink monitor came up it showed that they were full.
When the printer did this I searched google for advice on how to fix the problem and found no help but plenty of bad reviews.
I contacted Epson & they tried to get me to buy new cartridges but I decided I wasn't going to waste money on a printer that was clearly faulty & should be taken off the production line.

My advice is avoid completely!

How much does this printer really cost?

Just Like many other users of this printer, I cannot fault the quality of the prints, I have produced some really great photo's, But replacement cartridges are very expensive, I cringe when it automatically goes into head cleaning mode, Amazon are currently selling this printer for £219 a new set of cartridges are £80, As the machine comes with a full set of cartridges, This means when you subtract the price of a set of cartridges, the printer is actually only worth £139, So it might be better to just buy a new one rather than get an expensive repair man out, But hopefully I won't have to do that for some time yet.

They all should be this easy

The ease of setting up this Lexmark printer was a pleasant surprise, being a network engineer I know how difficult setting up a wireless printer can be. I downloaded the latest drivers and software from the web site and followed the instructions; the only exception was entering the MAC address of the printer in to my router before I installed it. It connected the first time, it is quiet and quick the copy function is also quick. Having had Lexmark printers in the past I hope this will be as reliable as them as I am fed up of having to change printers annually.

Bad Printer

The Epson D92 is the worst printer I have owned, and I have had printers since 1989. I get a 3 coloured band on the right hand side of all photos, its noisy and slow and suffice to say I have now finished buying any Epson products. Unfortunately I cant give it 0
