Review for Kodak Easyshare C913 Digital Camera - Black (9MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.4'' LCD:
At first glance the camera is beautifully styled with good size proportions for all size hands. The LCD and button set up is good, all with in reach of the user when taking photos. The build quality of the camera is excellent with well formed joins and no loose bits. Nothing rattles either which is always a bonus!
The LCD picture is of good quality allowing you to shoot-from-the-hip pictures easily while those more detailed shots can be lined up with no problem from the view finder.
The picture quality is fantastic for the cost. You get a good sense of colour and saturation on the standard mode. You also get a good contrast in each image shot.
Transferring images again is made simple by Kodaks easy share software. Plug the camera in and follow the on screen instructions. For the more advanced user the camera can also be accessed just like a memory stick allowing drag-and-drop file manipulation.
By far this is one of the best start cameras I have seen in a while and at the cost makes it a phenominal buy.
I would find it hard to say anythign negative about this camera, so, I won't!

Review for Kodak Easyshare C613 Digital Camera - Black (6.2MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.4" LCD:
The best part is the help button. Unlike some other cameras, this one really holds your hand through the process and it's virtually impossible to make a mistake. You can toss the manual if you want--that's how helpful it is.
This camera almost does away with Photoshop, but not quite. As I said before, if you want a really good camera for a great price, and you're not looking to have your photos in some contest, this will do nicely.
Would also recommend the SAMSUNG S630--VERY similar with 3X optial zoom and a few more details.

Good middle of the road camera
If you're a professional photo nut, this is probably not for you. Then again, if you are, you wouldn't be looking at this camera. All that aside, the kodak Easyshare is the PERFECT camera for the amateur photographer or average person who just wants good pictures and downloadable capabilities. Great memory storage too.The best part is the help button. Unlike some other cameras, this one really holds your hand through the process and it's virtually impossible to make a mistake. Review for Kodak Easyshare M863 Digital Camera - Silver (8MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.7'' LCD:
I brought it back to the store where I had purchased it and as it was within warranty they gave me a replacement. Obviously I was happy with this.
The bad news is that a little over a week later it developed exactly the same fault as the previous one. I brought it back to the store again and again exchanged it. This time for a different brand of camera.
If anyone has bought this model, I hope you have better experiences with it than I had. When it works, it is a very good little camera. Unfortunately in my experience, this doesn't last for that long.

I loved it
This was a brilliant camera and I loved it. All my friends thought it was really good and so did I. Hence why I was not impressed when it stopped working about a week after I purchased it. While I could look at photos stored on it and could upload them onto a laptop, when I turned it on in photo-taking mode, the welcome screen appeared, the lens opened, the lens retracted and the camera turned off.I brought it back to the store where I had purchased it and as it was within warranty they gave me a replacement. Obviously I was happy with this.

You'll need an additional SD card (about £4 for 2GB) to store 2000 pictures or so.
However, the camera went dead after about 25 photos, so I'd score 10/10 for features and 0/10 for endurance.

Good (while it lasted!)
Very good performance and features for the money. The 7M pixels is maybe a bit excessive: the resolution being limited by the lens and the picture compression, but this is perfectly OK for family and holiday photos. You'll need an additional SD card (about £4 for 2GB) to store 2000 pictures or so.

Review for Kodak Z8612 Digital Camera - Black (8.0MP, 12x Optical Zoom) 2.5" LCD:
This camera will take AA rechargeables, a Kodak CRV3 Li-Ion rechargeable battery pack (the best option by far) or a single use CRV3 battery pack...which is supplied with the camera...when the supplied battery runs flat, I strongly recommend a rechargeable CRV3 battery (or two) and charger which are cheap enough and last for ages..that is the way to go in my opinion
Nice zoom lens...no complaints there...no optical or electronic viewfinder though, so you use the rear screen to frame the shot..it has optional gridlines to help compose your pic...this is standard on digicams these days...focus is quick...image quality is very good (apart from the overexposure in auto...but you can get round that easily enough) and the price is fair...its really pretty good
So what I dont like is the fact that the on/off switch automatically pops the flash up...even if you turn the flash off...I can live with it, but why Kodak why ?...so every shot, the flash pops up, and when turning off..it stays up, so you have to push it down again, I have had pop-up flashes before, but usually in auto if it is not required, it doesnt pop, and if you turn it off it wont pop up at all....but not on this
camera...I guess its a cost saving thing...simpler electronics..just a spring and a catch which are automatically triggered by the on/off switch
Ho Hum...its pretty good though, and to be honest I have used loads of digicams and the image quality from this Kodak is just as good/ better as any competitor camera regardless of price, it has a good quality 12x zoom lens with stabilization, the 8MP sensor is probably identical to the ones used in several other brands...its quite well constructed, and its easy to use, Kodak do know how to process an image using their"colour science chip"...I really do think that is more than just a marketing gimmik, some of the latest Kodak cameras do not boast about the"colour science chip" inside...namely the Z1015 and the latest Z1485 (see Kodak.com) and I have noticed that their colours are not quite the Kodak colours that I know and love
So...yes buy it...its good...the flash is annoying...but not the end of the world...and the movie mode is amazing, get an 8GB SDHC card and you have an incredibly cheap digital camcorder with a 12x optical zoom lens...amazing, I play it back on my 42" plasma TV and its just great...also check out the HD dock if you are into the video side of things....so apart from the flash...I give it a recommended

Very good for the price but......
There is no doubt that for the money this is a pretty good camera, the build is pretty good, it feels and looks quite classy, the image quality is just fine....it does overexpose a little in full auto mode, it is adviseable to shoot in P mode and compensate with a bit of negative exposure compensation....easy to do, I shoot with about -0.7ev most of the time, and the P mode remembers this setting, so its not like you have to dial it in every time, menus are simplicity itself (like all Kodak cameras)This camera will take AA rechargeables, a Kodak CRV3 Li-Ion rechargeable battery pack (the best option by far) or a single use CRV3 battery pack...which is supplied with the camera...when the supplied battery runs flat, I strongly recommend a rechargeable CRV3 battery (or two) and charger which are cheap enough and last for ages..that is the way to go in my opinion

Review for Kodak Z1015 Digital Camera - Black (10MP, 15x Optical Zoom):
In full Auto mode the camera now gives you a choice of"smart scene" (default)and"smart capture"...smart scene is the fastest, uses auto face/scene selection etc....Smart capture does the same and then applies"perfect touch" enhncement to every image (adjusts exposure, sharpness so that your shots never need post processing...its great but it slows the camera down)...so now, as long as you upgrade the firmware if its not already at 1.3, then there are no issues regarding speed, infact you now get an extra feature (smart capture) that is rather clever
OK...so that deals with my main criticism of the camera, its now OK in this regard so I have used this camera quite extensively now.. and I now think its pretty good
Great things about this camera are...nice wide lens with good range...starts at 28mm equiv, very welcome, the elecronic viewfinder is pretty good and has optional gridlines which I really like, the camera is lightweight and has a good large LCD screen, low light focus is exceptionally good and the camera will lock focus even in near total darkness...and the movie mode to my eyes is excellent..I am not a big user of video, but this to me does seem rather excellent
OK...so my first results were really really good, punchy vivid and sharp, they had a kind of wow factor, so the image quality can be very impressive, I must point out a few negatives about the Z1015 now, the"Natural" colour setting is too saturated for my taste, you do have low colour though, which makes the colour about right, the main issue for me is that the default contrast is too high...sometimes this is just great and the images can look very punchy, but more often, I wish that I could reduce the in-camera contrast, but that is not an option that the camera has, the camera has Aperture priority but but only two settings are available at any given focal length...not a dealbreaker for me, but worth mentioning
OK, I have found that best results are obtained from this camera using fully Auto mode !!, and that may well be what you want, so I will tell you about that:
Kodak have an on camera post processing routine called"perfect touch", the idea is that after you shoot, an algorythm adjusts the contrast, sharpness, exposure etc so that the out of camera results are just right...nice idea, and this solves the over contrasty images that I desribed when using P/A/S/M modes...so in general, full auto images look great (although this limits you to Standard and not Fine compression, again no big deal), the only problem with this automatic application of"perfect touch" is that it slows the camera down...alot, so if you shoot three shots in succession, the camera is locked up and displays"priocessing" for maybe 20 seconds, its OK, if you shoot single shots, but that is annoying (at least to me)....NOTE...this is now solved with firmware ver 1.3 (as explained above)
If you use P/A/S/M modes then the camera is fast and you just need to bear in mind that you may have to post process some of your images to adjust the contrast or apply the on camera perfect touch from the menu...its brilliant and will adjust your shot for you on camera.
So to sum up, Kodak have done alot of things right with the Z1015...it even has a RAW capture mode I AM pleased I bought this camera... its alot of camera for the money
(A couple of notes for Manual shooters, possibly a dealbreaker for some (not for me though)....lens has no thread for filters etc....A/M mode only gives two aperture choices at any given focal length, fully open and closed down (strange)....max shutter speed appears to be 1/1000s...that seems fast enough)
So I will give it a recommended :-)

Pretty good..make sure you upgrade the firmware !
Kodak have just released a firmware upgrade (1.3) that is available on their website, it solves the"problem" that I mention below about slow write timesIn full Auto mode the camera now gives you a choice of"smart scene" (default)and"smart capture"...smart scene is the fastest, uses auto face/scene selection etc....Smart capture does the same and then applies"perfect touch" enhncement to every image (adjusts exposure, sharpness so that your shots never need post processing...its great but it slows the camera down)...so now, as long as you upgrade the firmware if its not already at 1.3, then there are no issues regarding speed, infact you now get an extra feature (smart capture) that is rather clever

Review for Kodak Z1085 Digital Camera - Black (10.0MP, 5x Optical Zoom) Optical Image Stabilization:
Kodak have managed to strike the correct balance here between features and price...you get optical image stabilisation, HD video, a good quality 5x optical zoom lens...ease of use...decent build..good battery options, compact size, great image quality, face detection, all for a great price
There are two other Z cams with identical body designs and features, namely the Z1285 (12mp) and the Z1485(14mp available from Argos as a substitute for the z1285) BUT this is the best one, the other Zs just have too many pixels, and the Z1485 has a different colour rendition to this cam (I note that Kodak do not boast of the"colour science chip" on the z1485....and it shows...its not as good), 10MP is the limit IMO at the moment, once you go higher on a small sensor, the image quality paradoxically goes downhill....this may change in the near future, but for now, this 10MP sensor is the king of the Kodaks
Bear in mind that this 10MP sensor is almost certainly the same as used by several other manufacturers and the schneider lens is just great...Kodak know how to process an image....so this camera cant really help but be anything other than good, compare the price of this camera to something like the Canon G9 for example....yes I know that with the Canon you get great build, a hotshoe etc etc, but this camera will take photos that are just as good (actually I prefer the 10MP sensor in this cam to the 12MP on the Canon)...and at the rate that cameras are upgraded, the Kodak is the smart buy for me IMO
Batteries...supplied with 1 non-rechargeable battery pack (lasts for ages)...when that goes flat you can conveniently use 2XAA rechargeables (get good ones)or the best option is the CRV3 rechargeable battery pack and charger...if you get two CRV3s and a charger you will never have a problem, lasts for ages
Nice purposeful design, easy menus, manual control.... I like P mode as I often tweak the EV (exposure conntrol)...but full auto works well most of the time...oh and the HD video is amazing
For the price....I give it 5 stars without hesitation

Review for Kodak C763 Kodak Easy Share C763 Zoom Digital Camera:
Good camera for the price
I wanted an affordable camera as i go to Australia for 3 months soon. I have had it a while now and I find that the pictures are of good quality inside AND outside. The majority of my pictures have been taken indoors at night under the influence of alcohol so I feel it's done pretty well. It's small so it fits into my handbag/pocket easily and, although it does have many settings, I just put it on Auto and then point-and-click!20
