Great for getting dog hairs out of carpets
This is fantastic for getting the dog hairs (cocker spaniels) from our house carpets. Comes with 2 turbo heads, one large and one small. I used the small one in the car and did a great job.Also used on cushions to remove hairs and from dog blankets.

Had this for around 3 weeks now and it fits snuggly with our old(ish) DC04 Dyson vacuum. It does what it states and on that basis cannot be critisised. As my Wife is unwell at present I am left to do the dusting etc. From that point of view I am very pleased with it as it cleans table tops etc., like a charm with no scatches that I can see anyway. (We only use it for any flat wooden furniture.... not floors etc) However as with all Dyson products including their accessories (regardless of the Heta filters and all that spill) this very basic little blue plastic brush with holes in it leaves me with the overall impression of being expensive. So yes its Ok as £ 14.50 will not break the bank.Try this tool with the small but very powerful £ 28 Kenwood 1400w vacumm sold here on Amazon that we use for everyday stuff. It fits perfectly and works like a charm.

Does what it says it will!
We bought one these as a result of owning the more basic DC07 for our other home. The justification for the trade up was the acquisition of two kittens. We are not disappointed - the performance of this cleaner makes others look second best - the carpet and floors look and feel so much cleaner. Additionally, this model has a brush control switch (which the DC07 does not) so it's great for hard floors too. Yes, it isn't a featherweight cleaner but it works so well that that seems a fair price to pay for the performance it delivers. The choice of tools is great including a rotary turbo brush, and overall, it reeks of quality construction. Despite the kittens our home has never been cleaner thanks to the DC14 - unreservedly recommended - buy it.28

Brilliant Machine
I have owned this Vax for a number of years and it works perfectly every time. I have always used it for cleaning the carpets, having a dog, this can be quite often. It brings the carpets up nice and clean and they dry fairly swiftly. For the first time I actually used it as a dry cleaner and it worked very well. It is a bit of a nuisance having to convert it from wet to dry but other than that its very good. I only used it because my normal Dyson machine is playing up.So its a good purchase overall.

Big improvement on previous models
I have owned a few dustbusters in the past and this one is easily the best. The older models tended to lose suction as soon as debris entered the collector. Also most of them direct the exhuasted dirty air right into your face. This model has a clear collector and the cyclonic action seems to give it more suck. I also like the fact that the 2 tools that come with it are stored on the machine so you dont lose them. I would have given it 5 stars if it had the wheel to shake the filters clean from the outside like its bigger brothers the 9v and 12v cyclonic dustbusters. Overall this model performs very well and probably better more"powerful" machines without the cyclonic action. Keep one in the kitchen to collect those crumbs!31

It is a robot and it still works!
Ok we all are a bit suspicious of fancy technology. I bought this as a gadget and was surprise to find it really...works. If you have a back problem, don't despair. Just press the clean button and Roomba will do the rest. If spends about 35 minutes cleaning a room (a lot more than I would) and goes round corners, under furniture and places that I would happily miss when I clean a room. Cleaning it can be a bit messy since you have to disassemble the bottom of it if hairs are caught so maybe not very good for dog lovers.It is an excellent talking point as well although most of my friends think its another one of my useless gadgets. Good Dyson quality in a small package
A good buy. This small cleaner is much that you would expect from a Dyson - stylish, easy to use, and very good at picking up the dust. Like other Dysons it also has an extremely poor manual which relies on pictures rather than text. This is fine when there is no problem - but I still have a piece of the machine sitting in the box which doesn't have a picture and I still don't know what it is for. But this should not detract from a really effective hand-held vacuum cleaner which beats most of the competition around. The battery life is okay - and the short charging time is an asset - but it would need 10 minutes rather than the 6 it provides for this product to be rated as a 'five star' one.

Very pleased
A good iron with a nice flexible old fashioned style flex. It is solid and feels good in the hand, glides well over clothes, not so hot it melts things and is a sensible price. The shot of steam is impressive but only four stars because a) the 360 degrees cord movement is too stiff b)the steam volume selection dial has numbers on it that can only be seen under bright light with a magnifying glass (no exaggeration) which makes it difficult to work out whether steam is on or off. This is compounded by the anti-drip system which (I think) stops the water flowing into the hotplate unless there is enough heat. For the first ten minutes I thought it wasn't steaming but after learning the steam dial and waiting patiently with the iron horizontal it started to flow. The good side of this system is I can confidently switch off the steam and leave the iron standing on its soleplate with water still in it which makes it less likely to topple off the ironing board.38

I contacted the dyson helpline, who said this 'whistle' is common on the dc14. does anyone else have this horrible whine when using theirs?
dyson told me to give it a week or two, so I could get used to this noise, but I don't see why I should.

powerful hand held vacuum
I needed to find a small hand-held vacuum cleaner to replace a rechargeable dustbuster which had never really had the oomph to do much cleaning. I found this product to be more than excellent. It runs on the mains and is extremely powerful for its size. At the same time it is really compact and takes hardly any storage space. With the attachments it can be used for cleaning small areas, such as inside the car, but is equally well-suited to cleaning slightly larger areas such as a bed-sit room, so it would be ideal for students. It can both suck to clean and blow to inflate airbeds etc or blow garden leaves for collection etc. As for price, it is much cheaper than many of the much less powerful and poorer performing alternatives. I couldn’t have been more impressed with this little vac, the only disappointment was that I hadn’t discovered it and bought one years ago. You absolutely won’t find better for the money.
