T210 Bluetooth Car Kit - Cheap and Cheerful

Got this unit and as usual wanted to try it straight away. Switched it on and bonded with my and my husbands fly mobiles within seconds. Sound quality and tec spec excellent in comparison to more expensive units that are available. Living in the West of Scotland the network coverage can be patchy but I have yet to even experience any sort of distortion or break ups when speaking to or listening to the the person on the other end of the call. I would recommend getting an auto electrician to hard wire the unit down the 'a' post in the car to the fuseboard as it is 100 times better with the wiring hidden and the unit is constantly on charge when the engine is running. Highly recommended as a cheap and chearful alternative to an integrated system as it is fully porable and can be moved to any car that you drive preserving your licence and keeping your cash in your pocket!!!. 10/10.

Great value twin DVD player

This was a pressie for the kids and we are extremely happy with it. The picture quality is better than expected, sound very clear too. A great feature is it plays DIVX files.
Only minor problems are no battery options so it must always be plugged in. The mains adapter only has one socket so you can only power one screen. (the in car adapter has 2 power outputs so is fine)

Very easy to fit and take out when not in use.

For the price I would says is better than expected quality and so very good value.

Good value and works well

This item is really easy to use with its touch control to MP3 from vinyl records or CD's - I see the other review says not good sound quality, but this is not an expensive hifi (so you have to have like for like, hence 5 stars, otherwise I would have given it 4 stars), and costs around the same as most record turntables without the CD player and without the record to MP3 facility. For a music centre under £100 with all those features it is excellent value. Search for: B0016P7E66 - if you want another higher spec recording music centre

is it for nano or classic???

if anyone has bought this is it actually compatible with the ipod classic 80g because the box says nano and the comment from the manufacturer keeps referring to the nano not the classic and the covers on the photo look more like nano than classic size. if anyone knows could u let me know coz i dont wanna order it and have to send it back

Talex Lite is great - now owned by Novus GPS

Unlike many devices of this type it knows when to keep quiet!! The Talex has spotted every camera site I pass and best of all doesn't drive you mad if you are under the posted limit - this means when it does pitch up you pay attention.

Talex themselves went into administration but the good news is the new owner Novus GPS is offering free camera database updates from their site now.

Overall - excellent device.

Nice unit, but could do with a little more

After buying the Sony Ericsson HCB-700 for my car I purchased this for another car so the review takes into account my experience of the HCB-700 and the CK-15w .

The fitting of this was straight forward with only four wires (I used 3) this being permanent live, earth and switchable live (only becomes live with ignition on) the wire not used was the radio mute as with the HCB-700.

What I found annoying with this kit was that the LCD screen would not swivel 180 degrees so the positioning was limited (the HCB-700 turns 180 and was able to be fitted to the windscreen next to the mirror. The cable from the LCD screen is also thicker than that of the HCB-700 unit

Speaker and microphone were easy to position and not that different to the HCB-700

The colour screen is very clear and much better than the HCB-700 screen and it allows pictures stored in the contacts to be displayed, the menu functions of the control knob easy to navigate and easy to setup how you want which is very similar to the HCB-700

Problems I found immediately was that that my Nokia N70 would not synchronise my contacts...a quick look at the Nokia website identified I needed to download and installed a contacts program onto the phone...The funny thing is, my Sony Ericsson W850i contacts were transferred straight away... The HCB-700 only allows contact synchronisation with SE phones.

The unit allows multiple phones to be synchronised with it however; I found that if you go to use a different phone than the one previous you have to go into the menu's to get the other one to work (maybe I've not played with it enough and it does this). The SE HCB-700 scans for any phones synchronised with it and automatically registers it

If you intend using one phone in the car this is fitted to then you won't be disappointed, however; if you use multiple phones then the SE HCB-700 would be more suited as it allows press of a button changing between handsets.

Overall, the Nokia Bluetooth unit is far better looking than the Sony Ericsson unit but the functionality lets it down. I look forward to a unit which has the functionality of the Sony Ericsson and the looks of the Nokia

a new dab experience

i had a jvc dab car radio/cd,itwas one of the first on the market.The set came with a seperate dab receiver. The set was not bad but after 6 years the receiver packed up so it was time for a replacement and being a Sony fan i plumped for this set,i must say how technology has moved on this set is easy to operate the sound is great, the cd is easy to use and im over the moon with this purchase. I have my own arctic unit and spend all day every day in it and the sounds are very important.Providing you dont go into obscure areas the digital improvements on radio sound are well worth having and recommend this set whole heartedly.

I bought a unit for myself and found this to be brilliant. Quality of sound is perfect. It automatically pairs with my phone everytime.

I was so impressed that then i bought another one for my brother and now fishing another one again for a x-mass present.

What an echo!

I inherited this car kit with my car and, although it's great at my end, my friends refuse to speak to me when I'm using it! I do not have a Nokia phone and this causes a huge echo for the person trying to speak to me! I've heard that this doesn't happen with Nokia phones, but I'm happy with my Motorola handset so will have to give up on handsfree.

Cheap and brilliant!

Being a loyal Nokia phone buyer i was dismayed to find the my new N80 with a different type of battery charger. I was having to drag my solitary charger with its 2mm connection with me everywhere worrying whether i would leave it behind or lose it.
The fact that i had 5 or 6 old Nokia 3.5mm connection phone chargers scattered in various places which i thought were now redundant riled me somewhat. But luckily a friend of mine introduced me to this magic device which meant that rather than being redundant i could once again have 5 or 6 chargers in various places to use.

while not a brand i'd really heard of i bought this as they were relativaly cheap. I'm glad i did as they are in fact 2500mAh not just 2300 as written - this just means the batteries have a larger capacity for storing"energy". Using the provided charger takes only 3 hours 30 mins to fully charge. The charger has a small light. if it's red it means batteries are charging; green they're charged. You can either charge 4 batteries or 2 batteries at a time, you can't do 1 or 3.
the charger has 2 seperate attatchments. the first lets it plug into the wall to charge and the other lets it plug into the car. This is highly useful for anyone using any devices that use aa or aaa on the move as these sizes can be quickly charged - but only appropriate rechargable batteries (ni-mh is the one that comes with it and most common type of rechargable and works fine)
overall this is a good little package, well worth buying. reduces waste on getting lots of normal batteries as they can be re-used and a lot more convenient.

great for price

Works well and coupled with a usb stick gives u a dirt cheap way of playing loads of music in ur car. Also v easy to use.

A shuffle/random button would be nice but other than that all good.
