Review for Apple iPod shuffle 1GB green:
The first generation iPod Shuffle was a revalation, not only could you carry more music than you needed even for a marathon but it fitted into the key pocket on most running shorts. (but your house key was relegated to being tied on to your laces)
Now with the new version, you can clip it to your shorts and feel no bulk or weight atall whilst running along to all your best running and motivational tunes. And your keys can go back into the thoughtfully placed pocket on your shorts.
The included headphones, like for all iPods are pretty awful and do not stay in your ears when running but other than that the new Shuffle has to be the best workout kit (and bargain) of the year.
The latest range of Shuffle colours are not as vibrant as the first range, if you lookout for them the original colours are still available.

Hmm... the new colours?!
If you are a runner, then this HAS to be on your shorts somewhere. Steve Jobs has freed up the lone-runner experience over the past few years. Only 4 or 5 years ago my right hand had a Sony Waterproof Cassette Walkman velcro'ed to it (if the Walkman was clipped to your waist it jumped and warbled too much) which also meant to carry a water bottle tied up both your hands. The first generation iPod Shuffle was a revalation, not only could you carry more music than you needed even for a marathon but it fitted into the key pocket on most running shorts. Review for Apple iPod shuffle 2GB Purple:
- Fairly easy to set up (one hiccup during syncing, but just did Autofill again)
- So light & tiny; you can clip it where ever you want
- Sound quality great with my Sennheiser headphones. Some reviews I've read mention a hissing sound, but I can't hear any thing like that
- Pleased with what I'm getting for the price
- Can't think of any cons

Fab little MP3 player
I already have an iPod mini, which I tend to stick on shuffle any way. I thought I'd buy one of these for running. Now it's been delivered I'm so impressed I'm going to get rid of the mini!- Fairly easy to set up (one hiccup during syncing, but just did Autofill again)

Review for Apple iPod nano 4GB Blue:
The bad aspects of the iPod nano 4GB are-: battery life (absolutely shocking - had to charge it almost every day, even if I'd only used it for 2 or 3 hours), the freezing screen, lousy volume control and the fact it broke completely less than 1 month after I bought it.
I wish I hadn't wasted £130 on it as it isn't even worth £1.
I loved my iPod shuffle and expected this to be of similar quality - how wrong I was. I just hope that any iPod I buy in the future is of a decent quality.

Review for Apple iPod mini 4GB - Silver [M9160B/A]:
I decide on the 4GB iPod Mini Silver because of its convient size and 4GB is enough for most people, 20GB and above is just excessive. 1,000 songs is quite enough for me thank you!
Anywho the good points, as I mentioned above the size is amazing and its really light! I take it everywhere with me, and although a belt clip does come with the iPod mini, I would recommend purchasing the Belkin leather iPod case to avoid scratches on such a lovely investment.
The scroll wheel is amazing, you can control the sound and head onto any of your favourite songs just by moving your finger up and down the touch pad! Yes the iPod does come with games, but I don't really pay attention to those and I doubt anybody else would unless they were stuck on a desert island, they are pretty simple and un-exciting, but then again thats not what the iPod was designed for and is merely an extra.
iTunes is simple enough to use, I put around 380 tracks on my iPod mini in around 2-3 minutes.
Battery does not last 8 hours! It lasts 4-5 MAX. Thats not a problem for me as its quite enough, but it would be nice if apple wouldn't lie in their product description.
I recommend it guys, its stylish, it has the wow factor, amazing technology, high quality music at your finger tips! Go for it :)

iPod Mini 4GB Good Buy, But Has Some Negative Points
Ok, so i'm like you, wondering which iPod to buy? Should I go for the 20GB or something a bit smaller...I decide on the 4GB iPod Mini Silver because of its convient size and 4GB is enough for most people, 20GB and above is just excessive. 1,000 songs is quite enough for me thank you!

Review for Apple iPod mini 4GB - Blue [9436B/A]:
1 , make sure the Mini has it's hold button on , and it's turned off.
2, gently prise off the top plastic cap and then the bottom one.
3, use a small 'Phillips' screwdriver to take off the top bracket.
4, unclip the bottom spring clip at the base of the Mini.
5, Then ease off the tiny serial connector at the base of the
Mini from The Motherboard which is attactched to the docking port.
6, Then ease out the whole motherboard from the casing from top to the Bottom.
7, Once you have the whole innards out turn it over to see the blue Li- Ion battery on the reverse of the LCD display.
8, Un-clip the five pin connector from the motherboard and remove the battery as one unit.
9, take your new battery and clip that back into the motherboard.
10, then just reassemble taking care not to snag the battery cable in the casing and don't break the motherboard ! or the LCD display.
11, Then make sure the new battery is in working order alow it to discharge fully then give it a full re-charge. The new batteries can last up to 20 hrs before a re-charge so it should give years of life to the now classic little player.
I'm sure all these problems have been fixed on the newer NANO if you can afford it which i can't !. But all in all it's still the best of the MP3 crop and on the whole the best buy.

THE SUPER SMART KING OF MP3 PLAYERS
The Apple iPod is without doubt of on this decades best new inventions and has really cornered the market. Its well built and heavy for it's tiny size and for the most part the click wheel is fantastic. For me to get more than half my entire music colection on one tiny device is a revelation. From years of hauling around cassettes to CD's If i'm going on a long trip or even a long bus ride. But if you look closer the iTunes software isn't so hot as it seems to crash if there is even a piece of dust on a CD !. Then there is the iPod's interface and complex menus which take luck more than ease to use !. The earphones are also very weak and you will need to buy some more to get the best from the music. I do think that Apple need to look again at the click wheel and the menus to make it easier to use. And then there is the battery issue on these early generation players , mine won't last more than 2 hours before a re-charge instead of the 8 hours. However this does not mean the end of the Mini as replacement Li-Ion batteries can be bought for as little as £5. They can be fitted as below - It must be pointed out that any warranty will be void when you open up the tiny casing -1 , make sure the Mini has it's hold button on , and it's turned off.
2, gently prise off the top plastic cap and then the bottom one.
3, use a small 'Phillips' screwdriver to take off the top bracket.

happy apple
If you are looking at the 2GB shuffle and are not sure if a 1GB will do, go for the 2GB.I actually upgraded from a 1GB as I got fed up with deleting songs to fit new songs on. With the 2GB you can load around 500 songs which once you are set up with itunes is very easy to do. I haven't actually downloaded any songs from the itunes shop as I have so many cds which I have loaded into itunes library, and this can be done as many times as you like, and if you wish you can completely remove all songs change user name and start again. It is very easy to delete and add songs. The sound quality is awesome regardless of what headphones you use and you can get over twelve hours of playback from charging. I did invest in a sony ipod charger so I can charge independantly from the computer. You can also plug in a speaker jack to listen on small speakers though the quality is quite reduced. All in all an excellent purchase especially at this price.76

Review for Apple iPod Nano - 1GB - Black:
Satisfied
Recently purchased a 1GB Nano and here are my opinions. First over all I was sold immediately on the beautifully presented package which the iPod and it's accessories came in. The object looks and feels absolutely wonderful but having read about how easily the iPod scratches I bought a case immediately. Software loaded without a problem and the iPod connected and started charging (Apple do recommend USB 2.0 and SP2).The actual amount of available space available on the memory was 892MB. So you lose a fair amount. I imported my CDs as AAC format which was the default setting. I will probably get around 230 tracks on the iPod with tunes running from 3 mins to a few that go on for about 11 mins. Navigation and operation is a doddle. However I originally owned a Sony NW-MS70 and I have to say that the sound is far better than the Nano or at least if you like it warm and bassy. I've tried changing the EQ levels on the iPod but the headphones start crackling (R&B or Bass Boost). I suppose you could argue that the iPod has a more neutral or purist sound. But I suppose that depends on how you like to listen to your music. Overall though I'm happy with the iPod and the software in particular (a week point with my Sony Sonic Stage).79
Review for Apple iPod touch 8GB without Software Updates:
The music player is the least important function for me. I really like the way it displays photos, I am using the calendar (which incidentally does allow you to key in new appointments with a touch screen Qwerty keyboard that's easy to use)and I'm transferring all my contact information to Outlook so that I can sync it with the ipod and have a great address book at hand. The clock functions are brilliant too.
Downsides...
Chargers and car adapters etc are ridiculously expensive
8Gb is too small as I have exceeded this capacity in music alone and have to hand select songs.... shame it is not expandable.

One word: Terrific!
Considering i only paid £150 for mine i cannot complain, and why would i want to?This thing is amazing! I have never been a fan of Apple stuff, still am not, but my opinion of the iPod has changed.
For such a small thing i can do so much: Games, Calendar, Mail, Internet, Music, Movies, Apps etc.
It truly is great - However, i wouldn't pay £270 for one... They aren't that good.
If you can get one cheaper it is a must, if not wait till they are <£200. You won't regret it!
