buy with caution

I bought 2 sets of these headphones for my husband and they are flimsy and the connection lead keeps splitting, I understand that they are cheap but i still expect them to last longer than being used twice!!!
I wouldn't buy them again, it's worth spending a little more to get a decent set that will actually last.

I expected better

Build quality of the charger is very poor, I could see in the box (before I'd opened it) that it wasn't built correctly because the back wasn't properly fastened so I fastened it myself and luckily it works. The screen protector does not stick to the iPod screen, it slides off with even the slightest moisture in the air. The arm band was OK but it is too long and I have to wrap it over my iPod when I put in on which covers the touch wheel, which means I have to detach it whenever I want to use it. The rubber casing is just that, cheap, flimsy rubber. It isn't made of SILICON but SILICONE which is known for it's low tensile strength. Don't go running because the weight of your iPod breaks the rubber handle that is holding the iPod to the sports arm band. I'm not even going to attempt getting a refund because the company will probably ignore me or find a way to say I don't qualify for one.

Never go jogging with an iPod Touch

I went for jog using this armband and silicon case. Sadly the silicon case retains sweat and drenched my iPod touch, I doubt it will ever work again. I seriously recommend not buying this product.

Though it is not as good as the original ear phones, it is still sounds close to the original, guess anyone who is looking for a substitution. This is the PRODUCT!

Mine hasn't broken yet!

Read other reviews reporting problems, but mine has been just fine so far, but I've been very careful with it after reading reviews here.

Works with the original iPhone

This works perfectly with the first original iPhone (silver back). I was afraid the Microphone wouldn't work but it does!

It's not authentic Apple product and it doesn't come in any special package, but it still does the job nice.

Jivo good

Very good really for the money,works better with batteries than through the cigarette lighter and needs fiddling with at first,but generally both my children are very impressed with the product,and it goes with them on all their journeys,so i guess thats a big thumbs up

Great new case for new iPod Touch

Both the Black Silicone case and the screen protector were easy and quick to fit on the latest (4th generation) iPod Touch. No need to worry about any scratches or bumps now. Very good value too.

Good value for money

i bought this case for my little sister who has just received the ipod touch for her birthday, but i thought that it would be best to have a case for it incase it gets scratched etc. as we know ipods are very vunerable to scratches. this works a treat, also with the added screen protecters, it protects the ipod against daily use. very recomended product!!!

Unbeatable for the price

My significant other's Cygnett 'GrooveNeo' iPod dock/alarm/radio decided to fail yesterday, luckily before it was needed as an alarm clock. So the hunt was on for a quick replacement. I was looking for a dock that was not too big (limited bedside space due to tea maker) but would sound good (Bose & Fatman dock systems elsewhere in the house) but more importantly be easy to set up and use and must have a radio and alarm and true compatibility with the iPhone (not just in airplane mode).

I would have liked a DAB radio with the treat of analogue radio going the same way of TV in the next few years, but the signal is not good enough in our area and the price premium seems a bit steep at the moment, so armed with my requirements I started trawling through the reviews on the web until I had narrowed it down to 2 possibles, the Sony ICF-C1PMK2 and the iLuv IMM173.

Both similar prices (around £70) and both available locally for speed. Both have good reviews for sound, the iLuv has a clever feature that uses the clock on your iPod to set it's time, the iLuv can also dock/charge 2 iPods at the same time (his & hers). The Sony is a known brand (although has lost some of it's reputation over the years), doesn't have an auto time set facility but does have a battery back up that meant the time that was set in the factory meant the time was correct when unboxed and plugged in). The sonly is also more compact than the iLuv - but this may compromise the sound quality?

The really useful feature of the Sony though is the fact that if you have a 'skin' type cover for your iPhone that has access to the docking port, you can dock your iPhone without having to take the cover off first which is really useful especially if you have a hard cover which can be a bit of a pain to remove. The way the Sony achieves this is by the dock area being large enough to take one of the standard docking adaptors that often come with docks (not with this one though). If you don't put an adapter in there is more than enough room to fit your iPhone in it's cover while still making a connection. However on most other docks this could not be recommended as usually the idea behind using the adapter is that it is shaped to support the particular iPod/Phone and provide support so strain is not put on the connector which might lead to damage. This is where the Sony has a trick up it's sleeve, because the dock is in front rather than on the top, the clever people at Sony have placed a pad which acts as a back rest for the docked device thus providing support and negating the need for using an adapter The pad can be adjusted 'in and out' via a knob on the back of the station to cater for a variety of iPod/Phones. It really works very well and makes docking and un-docking a breeze.

So the choice was between 2 docks v 1, ease of docking with case and size. I was leaning towards the iLuv for the possibility of a better sound when I checked on local availability I found there was none actually in stock - so I turned to Amazon for the reliability of their next day delivery, was about to place the order for the iLuv when I saw the Sony at £44.99 not the £69.99 locally (or the £62.99 of the iLuv on Amazon) which meant I could get the next day delivery on the Sony and still spend less than on picking it up locally.

The decision was made and the order was placed at around lunchtime for the Sony with next day delivery, 8:15 this morning I get a knock on the door and my new Sony is placed in my hands - Super job Amazon.

I've just got the Sony up an running, significant other as very pleased, better radio reception on FM than the previous one, simple to operate, docks iPhone in it's case, not too big and most of all we are both really impressed with the sound quality considering the size of it. Not a Bose or Fatman, but not their price either.

I doubt that you would currently be able to find a better value for money radio/alarm dock for this price - even had I paid £70 I would still have been very happy with it.

Pros: Smallish size, battery back up, good sound for size, can dock iPhone in case, adjustable 'back rest' for different iPods, remote control, don't have to put iPhone in airplane mode, good radio reception, 'big' snooze bar, good build quality, possible to control iPod (forward/back, pause/stop) from the dock and also menu select from remote, can sleep and wake to iPod or radio and also different volume can be set for the radio/iPod alarm which means you don't have to adjust the volume to a suitable level before you go to sleep.

Cons: No dock adapters included (but back rest probably means you don't need one), clock does look like it will be quite bright, but this won't bother either of us, no back-lighting of buttons on the remote or on the dock - though the brightness of the clock might help with this :o).

Excellent product! Shame it doesn't work anymore

This PRODUCT is great. Sound quality is good (bass expander a little punchy, though) and value for money is excellent. It WAS compatible with the iphone too - until the OS4 upgrade. Now it is not.

At first, I mistakingly thought the product was at fault and Amazon quickly delivered a replacement but the problem was the same - the new iphone OS4 DOES NOT WORK with this product. This has happened with many third party peripherals since the OS upgrade.

Sony won't touch it (not their issue as the product is not faulty). Apple won't fix the issue at present either. So now item is useless as you cannot remove OS4 once installed.

I am massively dissapointed as the product is so good but it is currently NOT compatible with an iphone 3GS running OS4.

Good purchase but with reservation

The item is the ideal size for what I wanted and I followed the instructions to set it up for use with my ipod. However there appears to be a fault on the connection as the sound level is intermittant - as if the contact is not always complete. The ipod is only a couple of months old and works very well on its own put the speak is not as reliable as I would expect. Who can I speak to?

RUBBISH !!!!

This product was rubbish, they broke 2 days after i got them. What absolute rubbish, never again will I buy these.

Fits like a glove

I bought three cases (in the black, white and blue) from TeckNet on a Thursday at probably 8 pm at night. It came on Monday, a day before the first estimated delivery time which was Tuesday-Friday. It arrived in perfect condition and it just as it appears online. I am easily able to use my iPod touch 4g, and the case fits perfectly!
