The best case

If you buy, definitely buy from Amazon.

This case is great, as soon as I unwrapped the Ipod, I realised that it was a bit of kit needing an excellent case to protect it from scratches and the usual wear and tear that it would go through.

This case clips on to the Ipod and is a very snug fit, mine does not rattle around so maybe the one the reviewer below has was faulty??

The hold switch, the hole in the bottom where the connecting cable plugs into and the headphone socket are all unprotected for obvious reasons. This is possibly where dust will manage to squeeze its way into the casing.

The clickwheel is not protected either but I think you can buy those plastic sticker things to go over that if you really want to take Ipod protection to the extreme.

All in all, I am delighted with the case, I feel like every inch that could possibly be protected, is, and, because the case is see through, my Ipod looks almost as though I am using it straight from the box. The case does add some bulk to the actual unit but the difference, in my view, is negligible and the ipod still feels slim and light.

Also, I think this case offers the best protection in light of the fact that the screen on the Ipod is similar, if not the same as the screen on a PSP and if you are familiar with those, you will know that the screen can dent and scratch as soon as you look at it so screen protection on an Ipod whose main feature is playing VIDEO is of vital importance to me.

Anyway, if you were going to splash out on a special case, I would go for this one OR if you want to spend a little less, you could also go for one of the silicon Iskins which also offer complete protection (although they can make the Ipod look bulky). I would buy cases from Amazon, trust me, I spent a lot of time in Apple and Dixons and their cases are more expensive than Amazon's even though they offer the same product.
