My ebook reader, the best way to read a book

My 3rd gen touch was first used for games - I have quite a lot of games now - but later most of the time for reading Kimble books and large PDF docs, music and light included!
Also it's quite some time since I last bought a real CD: I have downloaded all my music from the iTunes store, and the combinations with my Sennheiser PX 100, PX 100-II and the Ultrasone iCans are very happy ones. I like to experiment and I like differences.
One thing that I wasn't too happy about was a narrow gap between screen and body, but Apple gave me a replacement with no trouble at all. I am one happy customer.
Another thing was the smallest characters on particularly PDF docs that made them a pain to read without scrolling and zooming.

Enters the new 4th gen with the fabulously crisp 960 x 640 resolution screen, and I can now read even the smallest characters with no need of constantly zooming and scrolling the text. The iPad - once it reaches Denmark, sigh - can wait, and I certainly have realized that an ebook reader doesn't need that large a screen if the resolution is adequate. I cannot see anything I need between my iPods and the iMacs, not to mention the PlayStation 3.

I have read that camera and screen are not quite up to iPhone standards - the touch emhasizes sleekness, ultra size and portability - but considering I do not even use the touch when I am mobile I couldn't be happier.

Can't use older Ipod Speaker System with Touch 4th Generation

I have and still do own the original Ipod Touch and decided as it was getting very slow to upgrade and purchase a new 32 GB 4th Generation Touch. While it is much thinner, better screen and performance I agree with others that if you have any Ipod Speaker Systems the connection will not work and the cost of replacing them is considerable. In fact my speaker system is more expensive than the Touch and I am very disappointed that Apple have sought to sneak under the table a completely different connection system as there is not an adaptor available. I would have given it a 5 * but only given it now a 3 * and to be honest wish I had not bought it as I still need to use my old Touch on my speaker system in the house. Bad move by Apple for no apparent reason.

incredibly impressed - both with amazon and the ipod

wow first off, i gotta say im amazed at amazon for getting this to me so quick, i only ordered late friday night, dispatched on saturday afternoon and i had it on my doorstep this morning monday with only regular super saver delivery... now that is service... i have been so sick of waiting for this to come to the shops here in ireland, it feels like forever i have been waiting, i got rid of my old 16 gb nano which was too small last month, i thought these ipod touch would be readily available since they were advertised but alas no, so i bit the bullet and ordered from good old amazon, i was nervous, i dont usually buy electronic items from it but will from now on, my ipod arrived in mint condition and way sooner that i expected.

and to the ipod, im coming from an ipod nano, 16gb and i was happy with it until it could no longer hold all the music i have been accumulating and i would have gone for another nano if it came in 32 gb but i have to say now i see what i was missing... the touch is a really cool little gadget... great music capacity, great for watching tv, youtube,

facetime is a revelation too , i had thought about the iphone which has it too but didnt want a phone with all my music on it cause i know i just lose phones so easy and would end up having to replace a phone and an mp3 player if i lost an iphone so its cool to have facetime on this ipod touch..

overall im really impressed, very sleek and easy to use, with lots of great functions, i cant say how it compares to previous ipod touches, but coming from a nano, this is noe cool toy...

Very good bit of kit

There seems to be a lot of negative feedback on this generation of ipod, predominantly because of some of the features omitted in comparison to the 5th gen. Personally though I think this generation is a massive improvement; I don't want video recording or playback, and don't see this as a bonus on the nano range.

What apple have done with this generation is scale back the nano to pure functionality, whilst still retaining a screen - which gives the nano its own niche distinct from the touch or shuffle. It's small, very well built, has very good capacity and the touch screen is excellent. My only gripe is with regards to the battery life, it's by no means unacceptable, but is the one area that improvement could be warranted. Ultimatly though, I'm extremely pleased with it.

Not good for the iPhone. Does not have a mic!

I bought this pair of headphones to use with my iPhone 3GS expecting it to be an original or at the very least to have all the functions of the equivalent model sold by Apple, and I was sorely disappointed. Although these headphones had most functions (ON/OFF (ANSWER/HANG UP), PLAY/STOP, FF/REW, NEXT/PREVIOUS song.- I know sounds like just about everything...) they don't have a microphone. As a result, every time I want to receive a call (although I can answer it using the controls on the earphones) I have to take the phone (usually out of my bag when I'm out of the house) and hold it close to my mouth. So this really is not a hands-free device. I ended up buying a true original from the Apple Store for twice the amount this cost, that has mic function. Should be fine for use with iPods, although cord's quite short.

Apple tv, soon to be perfect

So I went up to cardifftoday to see one in action, but unfortunately there was only and old one setup! Saw the box on a shelf ( plenty of stock instore), And bought it on impulse. Took it to a cafe and semi- unboxed it, then ran to argos to buy a hdmi cable. Took it home and really opened it up.

So the actual box itself is a lovely, glossy Matt black box of components. The thing is tiny, and the remote is top notch, setup was okay, but had to turn him sharing on on all my devices, airplay doesn't work yet but will be out for iPad in november. Text input is a bit rubbish, but is better with the remote app for iPad and iPhone. And hopefully in an update a Bluetooth keyboard will work with it.

Best bits include podcasts, photos, flickr, YouTube,and radio.
If you buy on impulse you won't regret it, and if you find any spelling mistakes I typed it on my iPad.

What's not to like?

Everything about this iPod is quality. The 6th generation iPod is too small and you don't get the camera. Only problem was delivery was much slower than indicated - ordered from Amazon Prime.

Iphone 3GS Earphones.

After buying an iphone 3GS on eBay without earphones i need one.
Item as described and it's a genuine Apple earphones with remote and volume controls..
I have tested it on IPhone-3GS and it works like a charm.
This is the same earphones that comes with iPhone 3GS.
This product had no comments but it's always safe to buy stuff on Amazon because of their return polices.
Over all"5 stars" for postal+quality and highly recommended.
