Second time lucky, but what a great cooler!

OK, so here's the deal.. I bought one of these a couple of years ago and it ended up getting thrown out because it stopped working. Wasn't a manufacturing fault though, let's get that straight... it worked perfectly for a couple of years until I moved house and got myself a different desk. The desk wasn't quite as deep as the previous one so I (stupidly) removed the spacer from the back of the cooler and pushed it up to the back of my desk in the little cubby hole. Within six months it was dead, because there was no air circulation at the back of it.

I killed it, plain and simple. BUT... it was such a great little cooler that, the day I threw it out, I ordered another one immediately. Arrived next day (gotta love Amazon Prime) and it's stacked full again and running like a dream. I have the water dispenser full of (unimaginatively) water, and I've also got 35 regular cans of soda taking up the rest of the space. Eight cans to a shelve, four shelves, plus room for three more in the door.

From an energy saving point of view, this comes under band G which means it really doesn't give a monkey's about the environment. I didn't notice this with the last one, and was quite surprised when I got the new one that it guzzled so much electricity. Having said that, I've used products with worse energy consumption so I suppose it's not THAT bad.

All in all, this is truly a great little mini cooler and the water comes out ice cold every time, so it does exactly what it says on the tin, plus you can also stick unsightly fridge magnets to the door as it's metal and not plastic like some others on the market.

Shoddy construction

I'm sure it filters water fine but on the one I was sent the round opening on the top only half closes no matter what you do. Also it pours very very slowly and water leaks out the unfiltered compartment when you pour it due to the hole in the top.

Silent Mini Fridge

I purchased a silent mini fridge for a student bedroom. The silent mini fridge arrived promptly once the order was placed (next day delivery). The design is sleek and appealing with plenty of space inside to store drinks, snacks etc. This is truely silent as well, so no annoying noises! I am looking to purchase a second mini fridge for my other son when he starts University and will buy the same one again.
