Review for Tefal ActiFry:
Excellent buy! A Healthier must for all kitchens.
I am very impressed with the tefal Actifry! It cooks food beautifully that I would normally deep fat or shallow fry, as well as many foods I would bake or grill, without drying the food out. Although it may be considered pricey for a fryer my family and friends are also amazed and impressed, so much so that they have bought one themselves.3
Review for George Foreman 10099 GR30 Big George Variable Temperature:
Both sides are cooked evenly and the fat just drains away. As the fat is drained into a small platic tray, that is most of the mess that needs cleaning - a damp cloth will get rid of the rest of the mess. EASY!

much quicker and easier to clean than the grill
This item is a godsend in the kitchen. No Quality Control
So I bought two , it seemed such a good idea, one that went to my father produces such cold water that you can drink it straight from the spout. The other which is mine produces steam and no longer cuts off when the water reservoir is empty. I think that they are headed for Freecycle.Tefal needs to sort them out it is such a shame

Review for Morphy Richards 3.5L Oval Slow Cooker 48710 Stainless Steel:
After reading the instructions carefully i set about making my first dish by following one of the recipes that came in the book. After 5 hours i could not wait to try it out. I must admit my first venture in the slow cooking world was not as good as it could have been but i have improved vastly since and it has saved me a load of time in the kitchen now and we use this at least twice a week to cook food while we are at work.

Does exactly what it says on the tin.
Again i purchased this from all the 5 star reviews it got.............and i was not let down. Having never owned a slow cooker before i was a little apprehensive about my first purchase. I read the previous reviews with great interest on this model and many others. I decided to go with this Morphy Richards model and i was not disappointed. After reading the instructions carefully i set about making my first dish by following one of the recipes that came in the book. A stylish reasonably priced kettle. Rinsed out the kettle as instructed and enjoyed a perfect tasting cup of tea. Kettle is quieter than my previous one. Very pleased with it.9
Review for Philips HR1861 Pro Aluminium Juicer:
It impressively obliterates apples and carrots also looks very smart and industrial indeed; it's a sturdy bit of kit. The pulp is surprisingly dry, the jug contains the juice nicely with no mess and the foam filter is simple but efficient. Thought it'd all be a pain to wash and clean but in the few goes I've had so far I've scooped as much as I can out and the rest has rinsed away with ease after a scrub with the little brush provided.
As it is preferable to drink juices immediately/as soon as possible, I'm still wondering whether this somewhat large gadget really is necessary for me + one other to have a quick juice or two a day (probably not) BUT the reviews pointed me this way, as did the way it looks and the fact it is easy to clean does score points. If Phillips did a smaller version of exactly this model, I'd have bought it as there's probably capacity to juice for a football team in two rounds!
I'm about to hit supermarket to stock up on ingredients for some of Jason Vale's intriguing recipes. Can brussell sprouts and beetroots in juices really be nice?

Review for One Touch Automatic Can Opener:
Place tin on hard surface, place opener on tin, press button, go away and do something else. Come back a few seconds later and your tin is open...no sharp edges, no mess, perfect.
Batteries are easily replaced, the back just slides off, not that I've needed to do so after 3 months so far. I bought two of these, one for myself and one for my parents for Xmas (2007), both have performed faultlessly.

A fabulous little kitchen tool
This thing works remarkably well considering it only uses two small AA batteries. Fantastic for people who have problems with their hands, also useful for those who want tins to be opened while they get on with something else!Place tin on hard surface, place opener on tin, press button, go away and do something else. Come back a few seconds later and your tin is open...no sharp edges, no mess, perfect.

Review for Kenwood SB206 Smoothie Maker:
Brilliant value for money!
I am new to the whole Smoothie drinking craze but thought I would give it a try in my mission to lose weight and snack on healthier foods. This is perfect if, like me you want something that doesn't break the bank and does its job. I bought this with the innocent smoothie 57 and a half recipes and must say I am glad I did. It is full of great recipes for smoothies, juices etc. One thing to mention is that this smoothie maker is really only for softish fruit - not for apples, carrots etc and they can be in quite a few recipes. I have therefore bought a juicer as well but would have needed to do this had I bought any smoothie maker. The tap can block as mentioned in the other reviews but if this happens you can just pour out from the top so no biggie! All in all, a great, cheap, smoothie maker.

Perfect little breadmaker
After reading good reviews, I bought this breadmaker and had no real expectations, didn't know how much we would use it etc. But after sitting in it's box for a couple of months we got started and haven't looked back! Very simple to use, beautiful bread every time. It (so far) hasn't burnt any loaves or broken down and we use it nearly every other day!15

Review for Braun MR400 Plus Multiquick Handblender 300w:
Brilliant Value
I love this product. Great for whizzing up soups, smoothies, milkshakes. The attachment can go in the washing machine and clicks off easily. I also owned the older style (which I misplaced when I moved house) and the improvement to the attachment (waved edge as opposed to holes to let the food through) is great as gets rid of all lumps. I find it useful having the 2 attachments now as one can be in the washing machine and one is clean ready to be used. Can also be stored in the provided holder on the wall. The only problem is the plastic jug, I have dropped both of mine and they broke, I have found it hard to get a replacement- would be good if they sold extra attachments and assesories online. Great Value. recommended.16

Review for Morphy Richards 48280 Breadmaker:
Phenomenal!
Being wheat intolerant (spelt and sprouted are OK), I have a hard job finding tasty alternative breads and have never found a non-wheat fruit bread so I decided to try making my own. I expected to have to experiment for quite a while before I got anything edible - but my first loaf made with this incredible machine was perfect. I used a mixture of rye, spelt and barley flour, but otherwise followed the recipe for wholewheat, added raisins and chopped apricots when the beep sounded - and to my amazement there was a well risen and delicious loaf sitting in the tin at the end of it all, with no effort from me. I have been experimenting all day and they all turned out equally well. My freezer is full. Excellent stuff!17
Review for Morphy Richards 48268 Stainless Steel Fastbake Breadmaker:
Apart from this, this make has 2 major problems:
1. The bread it make is not a very good texture, so I ended up just using it to knead and then cooked the loaves in the oven.
2. It was very noisy. One of the reasons I bought a breadmaker was to have fresh baked bread at breakfast. The noise of this one meant that when I tried this, the kneading woke the household up.

Nice little gadget
This is simple, neat and does the job. It won't look smart on your kitchen top, but it will look efficient. I use it almost every morning for fresh orange or grapefruit. I try to wash it immediately in hot soapy water, but failing that, although I know it says you shouldn't put it in the dishwasher, I've put the removable parts on the top shelf on many occasions without problem. No need to go for the most expensive models, this is all you need.

Review for Morphy Richards Complements Jug Kettle 43596 Graphite:
Great boiler and pourer with whistle and light!
We have had a run of bad luck with kettles in the last two years- Tefal Stainless one where lid would not stay down, Kenwood white plastic JK770 one that leaked from base after 1 month of use. Now we have bought this one based on Which? review. Verdict- love it, it has just coped with Christmas- 160 tea bags used in a week so many teapots filled. It is light, easy to fill, good to pour, takes up little space on the work surface, boils quickly and whistles when it has boiled- our model cannot be disabled in this respect- can a get a little tiresome. Also glows red when switched on. Overall a great kettle- just hope it copes with a full year or two of service.20
Review for Morphy richards 48715 6.5 Litre Oval Slow Cooker:
The pot is big - it's great for cooking large meals or joints in; however, it's far too big for cooking a family sized casserole in (I cook for 5 and it's far too big).
When I purchased this item I thought that it had an autocook feature on it as I could see three different dial positions as well as the"off" position on the picture on the box. However, the settings are actually low, medium and high. Autocook is a useful feature as it automatically adjusts the temperature from high to low after the initial cooking phase. Many recipes (in the books that I use) only use high or low settings and so it remains a bit of a puzzle to me as to why there is medium setting on this model.
The accompanying recipe book is a non-starter - if you are new to slow cooking (and you decide to buy this item) then I would advise that you purchase a separate cook book.
I would advise not to buy this - you will be disappointed - you will waste time in preparation of food and money (cost of food, electrics and takeaways when you've nothing in the fridge and you return home to charred remains). There is also the disappointment factor when you think you've cooked a healthy family meal and it's either burnt to a crisp or has very little sauce/fluid to accompany the meal.

I have had this product for 30 days now and I'm just about to return it to Argos on their 30 day refund guarantee. As two other users have mentioned it overcooks food, even on the low setting. I have had to bin one meal when I returned from work to find charred remains stuck to the bottom of the pot.The pot is big - it's great for cooking large meals or joints in; however, it's far too big for cooking a family sized casserole in (I cook for 5 and it's far too big).

Exactly what it said on the box.The removable plates clean really easily whether in the dishwasher or by hand. The timer means I am not worrying about burning things, and the recipe book has given me one or two new ideas. An excellent buy, especially on Amazon where it is so much cheaper.
