Does a good job for the money!

I was going to buy an expensive electric sharpener but decided against it. I'm glad I did as this simple to use piece of kit has turned my blunt blades into a very effective set of kitchen knives again. If you want something cheap, effective and easy to hide in a drawer...this is the item for you!

Doggy Delight!

I have only made one batch of these so far but my dog was driven mad by the smell and couldn't wait for them to cool down!

Although the book is Canadian, all of the ingredients are easy to find here and all of the recipes look very easy and straightforward to make.

The supplied bone shaped cutters are surprisingly sturdy and make a great doggy bone shape.

My dog Dougal loved the biscuits and I am looking forward to making all of them for him.

For this low price, this book is highly recommended for you and your dog.

Overpriced piece of junk!

I am a Typhoon fan but this totally misses the mark. Its plastic junk. Inaccurate, flimsy and tacky looking. Mine fell apart within days. I would recommend you do not buy this item. The only plus side is that they come in great colours and the timer handle is big enough for people who struggle to grip.

Good, but watch out for the max temperature

Works well, but it has a limit of 200 degrees C, so if testing an oven over this temperature is your need, get a different unit

Spatula

Easy one this. Just buy it. No flaws. If price is affordable then do it.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT

This potato peeler is the best thing ever, I bought one 12 years ago and only replaced it 3 years ago, it still works but the new one is sharper. It makes peeling potatoes a breeze and you actually dont mind doing it, as for everything else really easy. I agree with the other reviewer it is one of my favourite kitchen gadgets, apart from my silicone spatulas which I love. But this potato peeler is really excellent.

A 'Glove' that simply fits over the metal handle of your pan!

This is a handy little item which takes up very little space in your linen drawer.

THE essential requirement for those hot metal handles and so much more practical than a bulky oven glove.

Another brilliant product from 'Le Creuset', a progressive company that never seems to stop coming up with bright ideas for serious cooks and kitchenalia addicts!

Sensibly priced and one of those items that once you have one........you cannot do without it!

Look out for the other colours, too.

As a footnote, the handle glove is a really useful and inexpensive 'extra' to give with a 'Le Creuset' 20 cm 'Omelette Pan', as a home warming, an engagement or a wedding present!

Chic and efficient

This little machine does an excellent job. We have to set it at its coarsest setting for our cafetiere, but the finished ground is comparable to that we used to buy from a specialist retailer. The cup setting (where you set it to mnake the amount of coffee you want to grind) is accurate and consistent.

We use it every day. It blew its fuse the second time we used it, but we replaced that and it has been fine for the four weeks since then.

Effective, but not that easy to clean

Ok, this is a grater. But the idea is to make grating cheese easier. Which this does. However, it is not that easy to clean. I would also advise that you dry it as soon as possible otherwise the stainless steel goes very dull. I would still buy it again if I had the choice.

Low expectations help...

So I was looking at cookie makers because I am bored and have time, the other two on the site use batteries. One got slated in the reviews, the other was pretty good, this one had no reviews. Now I don't really like battery powered goods... and this one seemed pretty functional. Doubles as an icing gun which you can buy for a lot cheaper anyway. But given the gadget status my expectations weren't high - it's a novelty item for bored people. Perfect. So unlike some people who might think the plunger will be a perfect fit and a feat of engineering, I put the dough in a bag and then inside the tube. Less cleaning.
I tried the one recipe they put on the paper inside. It wasn't the best recipe, but try what they give you first (FYI brush with egg because they come out very pale). The instructions say"click once and remove" Leaving the cookie one assumes. Reality check, the dough stays stuck to the template. Because there is nothing to cut it off (if there was a little cigar cutter mechanism to crop the cookie off it would be PERFECT) but instead I worked out a knack... you have to get the dough to a perfect sticky but not too wet consistency and then if you click twice and you're lucky it clings to the baking sheet so you can pull the gun off leaving a decent little cookie shape. It'll get better with some practice but like I said, I have low expectations. Would also be better if the gun mechanism opened at the top so you could remove the whole tube to clean like some icing guns. I should work for KitchenCraft...

It Grinds Pepper!

This Peugeot pepper grinder does what it says - grinds pepper - as it should at this kind of price.

It can be adjusted from very fine to very coarse however, to get it from coarse back to fine setting I have to turn it upside down and activate the grinder to get course grains out of the grinding mechanism.

The guarantee is only valid, they claim, if the card is stamped by the supplier which it was not.

All in all, it does a good job.

Pretty but impractical

These scales have a great retro look, but I found them too imprecise for weighing.

Fantastic for the kid's snacks!!!

I bought two of these a few years ago and take bananas along on trips with my children. My kids, like many others, do not like bruised bananas, so this has been a huge help. I've never had a problem fitting a banana in it and although it is a bit bulky, it does make a difference on a long plane or train ride to have a healthy snack for the kids. I highly recommend this.

If you like these, you may also want to check out Fruity Faces, they are inflatable fruit carriers. They also have a banana carrier that works quite well and then deflates, but large bananas don't fit in them.

Excellent small knife

razor sharp as you would expect . I bought it to share the workload with my Global chopper which has become first choice for all kitchen tasks requiring a knife. Great piece of kit !

Just amazing!

From time to time you come accross a product that is well designed, very affordable and does 10 times more than it says on the tin.

The multimat is easy to use, and easy to clean.

I bought it to place hot pans on, but now fand myself using it all of the time.

As has already been said it is excellent under chopping boards, but it is even better under pyrex to stop it slipping hen quickly whisking eggs etc.

It is such a simple product, with so many uses.

Excellent Product

Neat little spinner. The plus points for me are:
It's dishwasher-proof. I refuse to buy any kitchen aid that's not. (Anybody know where I can get a dishwasher-proof oil-sprayer?)
It's compact. Just the right size for two people. Well, us two anyway.
It looks good.
It works well. Push the central plunger and you get a good old spin. No clutch-slip. The brake works well.
One small criticism, not worth dropping a whole star, is that the plunger-spin mechanism, built into the lid, pushes down into the bowl. You have to leave a gap in the centre of the bowl to make room for it.

Great value - count down timer is tricky

Good size bowl, very easy to set up and use. Nothing to fancy, but does the job.
