Not dishwasher safe
The jug looks nice but that is just about all that it has going for it. The first disappointment was that there was a note in the box that warned the measurements were approximate - what is the point of having a jug if you cannot rely on this? I wish I had got a refund immediately because I have found that many of the measurements have been removed after only three runs through the dishwasher (and if I was that good at guessing the volume of liquids to use in a recipe, I would not have needed a jug in the first place!). I am going back to my old pyrex jug.71

Hopeless: but digital scales are marvellous
I had the same problems as the other two reveiwers. Very tempremental. I think there is probably a design fault in the battery unit. A shame, as they were easy to store and easy to use. But I still prefer digital scales to traditional............

Other downsides are the membrane buttons that are hard to press - you really need to use both hands to operate them: one to hold the timer, and the other to press the button. The timer is also very light and slides around the worktop when you are trying to use it. In order to get the timer to sit upright as in the pictures it has a flimsy metal loop that acts as a stand - not very impressive.
On the plus side, the display is big and quite easy to read and the timer remembers the last time entered. It also acts as both a count-up and count-down timer.

Good size display, but too quiet
I would not recommend this timer unless you specifically need the flashing-lights warning. The timer is billed as being for the"hard of hearing", so I bought it expecting the alarm to be very loud - but it isn't. Only lasts a while
It's a shame as I though the name and the simple design would be great... but then in the bin it went after a month of over cooking and scraping black bits off. All this after six months or maybe less.
