Review for Sandisk 1Gb Secure Digital card:
Still cheaper than many others
Well I did buy this product even after reading the other reviews but I checked around and this is still much cheaper (as I only wanted the one card) so I only paid £5.30 including delivery. I can see where the others are coming from if you want to buy in bulk its costly. My advice, if you think its too good to be true then it usually is. Shop around before placing your order.3

Arrived quickly, works fine
I ordered from flash_memory two days ago, it arrived this morning and so far it's working great. They charge a lot for shipping (five pounds for a little memory card!), but if you add this to the price of the card, you still get a better price than you would in a store.6

BUT why £4-50 postage for something which weighs less than 100 grams and can be posted by 1st class mail?
Amazon should be selling these alongside the cameras it loves to sell for zero postage; not leaving customers to buy from an independent with extra postage charges.

Review for Kingston Technology 8GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive:
Excellent
Have just purchased this product from Amazon. Have been using it non stop for nearly a week and I am extremely pleased with it, just plug it in and it works straight away. Its fast and does exactly what you expect it to do. Its in a nice sturdy case. Excellent. It arrived within 3 or 4 days of ordering, no problem there, but when you consider I was charged over £9(2 items in order sent in 2 parcels) which to my mind is excessive, they are very light and could have been packaged together for one postage charge!10

Review for SANDISK CRUZER MICRO 8Gb U3 READYBOOST:
Brilliant
I have had both the 4Gb and more recently the 8Gb version of this drive. The U3 some people find gimmicky, but it is easily removed and the device will function like a traditional USB stick. Personally, I like the U3 functionality. I use many desktop and laptop devices and to be able to have your own virtual desktop for me is very advantageous. U3 works with both Vista and XP OSes- earlier versions didn't, so rest assured it is ready to use out of the box. I have had mine now for over 2 months and use it extensively every day. Highly recommended.12

Review for Integral -"9 in 1" USB 2.0 Memory card reader:
No drivers required, XP just takes a couple of seconds to work out how to handle the device once plugged in and away you go. I've tested it with 2 different SD cards (16MB and 512MB) and they work with no problems, as does the 512MB MicroSD (trans-flash) card that I use with it.
The build seems solid, but too light for my liking, it feels as though more care could have been put into the build, but the build quality doesn't rattle and everything is secure. The material's shortfalls are justified by the price.
There are two potential problems that I see with this device, both are easily avoided with the most minute amount of care. The first is there is no indication as to which way up the cards should be inserted. You should find that they only go in one way, so don't force them too hard. It is fairly easy to find out by experiment how they fit in, but don't break your card in the process.
The potential problem I found is while it is connected to my PC. Now this may just be a problem with my not-quite-so-perfect PC or my incredibly old USB extension splitter thing that I used to connect it (which takes and external power supply). But I found that the device got very hot when using my MicroSD card in it, and it hadn't been left in for that long. Granted I had trasferred lots to it in a short space of time, but it still worried me a bit, you don't want your memory cards melting in there. So just a word of advice: copy you files, disconnect the device immediately, and only reconnect when you want to transfer files back. Don't work on files straight off the device.
Pity to concentrate on the fallbacks of what is essentially a very functional, versatile, portable and cheap device.

Easy, cheap and functional. But you get what you pay for.
Truthfully it is hard to justify such a high score, as this is an item that does what it says on the tin, and nothing more. But that's all it's supposed to do, and it does it well.No drivers required, XP just takes a couple of seconds to work out how to handle the device once plugged in and away you go. Increased Speed
Bought this to replace a 1Gb Microdrive so I could shoot RAW files with my Fujifilm S9600. Thought that speed difference would be negligible as I presumed it was limited by the camera, however when it comes to reviewing shots (i.e. Read speed) scrolling is almost instantaneous, compared to a highly noticeable delay with the old card.17

A Great Card
Having used and owned Ultra 2 and Extreme 3 cards I feel I can give a decent comparison of the two. The Ultra 2 card, quality wise is exactly the same as the Extreme 3. There is a speed difference in writing data in which the Extreme 3 wins hands down, but unless your camera utilises hyperspeed writing, this difference is wasted. I highly recommend this card to everyone as it's cheap and very reliable, 2GB of space is enough for most and for value for money this card excels.18

Sony 8GB Memory Stick
I bought this item for £52.90, and i must say it let me down, on receiving the item i immediately used it on my computer, to discover that it was a 8GB card, it was a 4GB, but all of the packaging stated that the product was a 8GB card, this confused me, so i looked closer and notice that there was another piece of plastic stuck over the writing on the memory card itself, my thoughts were that this was a 4GB memory card which looked like a 8GB one, i contacted amazon and they have yet to reply to me, i have used amazon for some time now but this is the first time they have let me down, even though it may be the manufactorers fault, amazon should check that the products they put on sale are genuine and not faulty.20

Product just fine - postage exorbitant!
Beware postage costs with this type of product - I was charged £9 for a jiffy bag with 2 cards in! - maximum cost could only have been about £2.50. Digiplay sell counterfeit Sony memory sticks!
I bought one of these in February for my Sony Ericsson Walkman phone and it was absolutely amazing. I've transferred almost 900 songs (mp3, 128kbs) to the stick and there are still a couple of hundred megabytes free! I've had no problems with the stick whatsoever. However I bought another one last week and both my phone and my PC had problems recognising it. I spent several hours transferring hundreds more mp3s to the stick only to find that the files were disappearing or becoming corrupted and unplayable. I sent an e-mail to Digiplay to explain the situation and they were apologetic and offered a replacement, which would have sorted out the problem for me.
A couple of days ago I got the replacement. Same problems as last time, and even Sony's data recovery software didn't recognise the stick. I became suspicious and compared the faulty stick I had just received against the one that worked fine and there were differences in the print quality on the casing, differences in what was actually printed, and minute differences in the design of the casing. Basically it's a FAKE. I have demanded a full refund and if I don't get it I'll be escalating the issue to Amazon, Sony and trading standards.
But if you are lucky enough to have received a genuine Sony memory stick then you will be very happy with your purchase. They are excellent.
