When plugged in, with no card inserted, the Power LED does not illuminate but the SD card inserted LED does, even though there are no cards inserted.
It's cheap, and I guess it is a lucky dip if you get one that works.

Works randomly
Seems to work randomly, with xD and SD cards on XP+SP2 on 3 systems, 1 a clean install. Swapped cable out, same results. XP reports the hardware as a failed device on all the systems I have tried it on.When plugged in, with no card inserted, the Power LED does not illuminate but the SD card inserted LED does, even though there are no cards inserted.

It is easy to install although the USB cable header could be a bit longer, it only just reaches round my 9800 to the nearest header, and I installed it on the nearest bay to it!
Only have SD cards and that works fine, although the card has to be inserted upside down. The usb function is neat too, and this also works perfectly.

Indcredibly easy to install, and you are away!
Item arrived quickly and it was just as quick to get it installed. The 5.25" bay was the main reason I bought it as I'm using my 3.5" for a nostalgic floppy drive.It is easy to install although the USB cable header could be a bit longer, it only just reaches round my 9800 to the nearest header, and I installed it on the nearest bay to it!

Best Purchase in a while!
This is an SDHC card not a plain SD so check your device is compatible. That said it works well in my Treo 680 palm smart phone and means I don't have to carry round a separate USB memory stick! Seems robust enough and the little led in USB mode is a nice touch (so you know its in the right way round). Highly recommended after a few months use!28

I purchased a Sandisk MobileMate approx 2 weeks ago, it arrived in a couple of days which was great. After following all the instuctions it failed to work on my MS computer. I then proceded to try it on various other computers, four in all, it failed to work on any of them. I sent it back for a replacement, which arrived one week later. Once again the replacement did not work. I contacted Sandisk for an answer to what's wrong with their product but they have not come back to me. I would NOt recommend buying this product, it's been an absolute waste of my time and money.31

Simple and effective
Excellent little device. Fits in a floppy drive bay or a 5.75 bay with the supplied adapter. One twin cable to connect; uses a 9-pin dual USB header from your motherboard. One leg of the cable goes to the single USB socket on the front panel. The other goes to the card reader. My machine did not require the software CD (XP) - just fired up instantly. Gives you four new drives; one for each slot. Top value for money.35

Compact and works a treat
This item will slot kindly into the spare floppy disk bay.It plugs into the motherboard in the 9 + 1 blank pin slot, mine is called usb56 which is situated next to the floppy disk cable motherboard connector on my ASUS M2R32-MVP motherboard.
The compact flash slot is dead centre which was great as I use a 4gb Compact Flash for Vista readyboost.
This item was easy to install, is for XP and newer operating systems and Vista searches it's database for drivers, reconfigures your system and you reboot and then it works brilliant.
Great buy, infact I am going to buy a couple more for new systems I am going to build this Xmas.
