Nice looking hub, when working it functions very well...reads my sd card at lightning speeds! Very Impressed with that side of it, however! Every time I turn my computer off..when I turn it back on again it some how goes off line! Got to pull the plug out and re insert it for computer to recognise it again...very annoying!44

Simple and effective
Excellent little device. Fits in a floppy drive bay or a 5.75 bay with the supplied adapter. One twin cable to connect; uses a 9-pin dual USB header from your motherboard. One leg of the cable goes to the single USB socket on the front panel. The other goes to the card reader. My machine did not require the software CD (XP) - just fired up instantly. Excellent product, fully compatible with Tom Tom Go. The 128 mb supplied with Tom Tom can no longer cope with updates, you will need a 256mb. The Kingston 256mb is just the job and CHEAP.

Just to add this reader is very tough - its still in extensive use, even after having to dismantle it completely to remove a card my nephew managed to jam into the wrong slot! To anyone else with young children, yes this reader can read trans-flash (micro) and mini sd cards - but these need to be inserted into a sd adapter/holder before putting into the reader!Inital review:

What you have here is a case of a famous name manufacturer adding their name to a cheap generic peice of kit. Search Amazon on the word"Mopogo" and see what I mean.
I have kept the card and thrown the device itself in the bin. It is just far too much hassle to send it back.
You will gain zero from the Kingston branding, just buy the generic item at the best price you can get it. They are everywhere.

Did not work....
I needed an ultralight and convenient solution for my wide's schoolwork backup and transfer. The thing is absolutely tiny, hardly bigger than a USB plug, so looked just right, but it simply did not work, right out of the box. The card is fine, it is the reader that is faulty.What you have here is a case of a famous name manufacturer adding their name to a cheap generic peice of kit. Beware of formatting issues
In order to use this in my Palm PC, I have to format it as FAT32. Not a problem usually except that none of my laptops will even recognise the card.From looking up on the net, this is a problem with slightly older laptops/computers and the Kingston memory. In order to get around it I have had to purchase a card reader instead of using the on-board SD reader on my Toshiba M300.
So word of warning, in itself it is not a bad card, but some computers will simply not recognise it.
