Review for Sennheiser HD201 Closed Back Headphone:
The cable is a bit long, but you'd get the same problem with any headphones. i just stuff the extra cable in my pocket.
They are a little weaker than some 'phones with an ipod, but i think the volume is adequate. they sound loads better than those in-ear thingys. Very good sound with a computer, these are easily the best sounding headphones ive ever owned.
Look much less bulky than in picture, but they sit on my ears with ease.
REALLY comfortable. I'm listening to music on them as i'm writing this review. you forget that they're there.
They cancel out any background noise, but you can still listen to people talking to you...
OH! and they're really light!
I'll never go back to in-ear 'phones again!

BEST HEADPHONES EVER
Comfortable, cool-looking, great-sounding headphones (so far..) bought them yesterday in town, for £17.. still well-worth it.The cable is a bit long, but you'd get the same problem with any headphones. i just stuff the extra cable in my pocket.

Review for Philips HTS3357 - 5.1 Multi-Region Capable DVD Home Cinema System - With 1080i Upscaling:
However, it has been developing problems since a few weeks ago. Once pressing the standby button on remote control, the unit will not respond anymore. Sometimes, it just dead, not responding at all. I phoned philips regarding this problem and was told it was *possibly* a problem with the remote control. I was suggested to buy a new remote control without knowing its real cause, which will cost me 46 quid. Because it was 10 days out of 1 year warranty period, I can not have this fixed for free. The guy said I need to pay 250 pounds to get it collected, fixed, and returned!!! Please remind me how much does a brand new unit cost? It's appalling.
So, yes it's cheap, but if it breaks down after a year you'd better throw it away (after which you have to buy a new one. then the question is which one you will buy? if not philips, why now?)
A good deal? Think again!

Good value for money until it breaks down! Will NOT buy PHILIPS
I bought this philips system *slightly* more than a year ago. It was a bit more expensive than it is now, but it's still a very reasonable price. The sound quality is within expectation. The response is quite slow though, e.g. it takes a while to load a disk or simply ejecting it from the player. However, it has been developing problems since a few weeks ago. Once pressing the standby button on remote control, the unit will not respond anymore. Sometimes, it just dead, not responding at all. Samsung HTZ315R
Have now had time to play with the system and I must say, that for an all in one system, the sound is excellent. The set-up is easy and with the wireless option (optional purchase) you get a tidy black sleek package. Agree with the first reviewer .... very in-fitting, purchased next to my PS3 :). The one drama I have at going to press is that I can't find a Region unlock code for it! I would be surprised if that is the case, as Samsung are renowned for having remote control hacks for 99.9 of their systems. Anyone finding a hack, drop me a email on steve.noble@fco.gov.uk.5

Sony come out tops!
Brilliant little machine, excellent sound quality, looks good and is easy to use,if I had to make any adverse comment, it would be that the"Instruction" Manual could have been detailed better, but on the whole I would recomend this model to anyone wanting a good reasonably priced music system,7

Too many problems
Maybe I've just been unlucky but I purchased this just after Christmas and have now had to return it twice because of faults. When it first arrived there was a loud buzzing noise from the rear of the unit...faulty transformer I guess. Today the CD player has broken on the replacement and won't recognise a CD. Its a real shame as when it works it looks good and sounds great. Really disappointed but don't think I will bother trying for a 3rd time.8

Review for Philips HTS3154 - 5.1 Multi-region capable DVD Home Cinema System - With Dolby Pro Logic II:
Great. Does exactly what it says on the tin
I received this last week and am for the most part thrilled with it. I will start with the 2 minor things that i have a problem with. The first being that the plugs on the end of the speakers are too big to go through the body of a speaker stand so bear this in mind when buying stands. I managed to get the plugs off and then thread the wire through but this is not ideal. Secondly if you are going to play an IPOD through it its not as loud as you would like if you like to play your music a lot. All in all though these are minor things. for the money it is FANTASTIC value and it is really easy to work and set up. I particularly like the fact that it isnt unsightly and in your face like some other types of home theatre as the speakers are relatively small and easy to place round the room. This is a great system with great sound for those on a budget and i have to say is more than loud enough if you live in a semi with neighbours attached like me. Highly Recommended.10

Review for New Morphy Richards 27025 Wi-Fi Internet Digital Radio:
Quiet performer
Nice, though rather bulky, radio. Very easy to set up; had it running 5 minutes out of the box. BUT the volume output is pathetic. With a couple of computer speakers plugged in to the line out socket, it works much better - and in stereo. But this extra expense shouldn't have been necessary. Still good in all other respects, so 4 stars11

Review for Teac MC-DX 220 I Home Audio System:
Would have given it 5 stars if:
- It had an adapter for Nano 3rd Gen. It is not a big deal as, can probably use the adapter that came with the nano from apple.
- The remote control did not need to be so precisely pointed towards the unit to work.
- The speaker cables and aerial were twice as long.

Does what it said it would do very well.
Well defined clear nice sound. Plenty loud enough to fill a large kitchen/dinning room with music. Found plenty of DAB stations without any hitches. Very smart looking.Would have given it 5 stars if:

Review for Soundbridge Radio Wi-Fi Media Player - Wireless Home Audio System:
The sound quality is superb for a small unit like this.Even weaker statons sound quite good.
One major advantage of this radio is the speed of response. My other internet radios are quite slow in bufferig and producing playlists etc. This one can browse through large lists of radio stations and your music collecton in the PC very quickly and therefore much pleasant in use.
The manufaturer has released the remote control codes and it allows others to write software to control the radio from the PC or a PDA using pocket PC operatng system.
I am using a free software package downloaded from the internet to my Pocket PDA to control the radio. It allows you to browse through hunreds of radio stations on the PDA screen and play them on the radio. Therefore the PDA is acting like a very sophisicated remote control.Controls are activated via the wireless network and therere the PDA has to be conected to your wireless network. All info availale in ROKU radio user forums.
Fantastic product at a bargain price. Highly recommended at this price.

Review for Samsung HT-X200R - 2.1 Channel Designer Home Cinema System With HDMI - Gloss Black:
So I sold all my precious gear and decided my scale down would be extreme and I'd go from a full-on 5.1 system to a minimalistic 2.1 virtual surround HTIB (Home Theatre in a Box). So the search began to find a syetem that would easily intergrate with my Sky+ HD box and that had auido inputs for my computer.
In the end this litle Sammy won! Not only does this kit look the business it really does pack a punch with it's diminutive speakers and piano black bass. I'd recommend pumping up the volume at the start as most passive bass units need to be driven well for a while to get them running at full performance, my £800 Bose speakers were just the same!
The sound is very clear and I'd dissagre with some reviews that say it sounds too harsh. I'd say this is one of the most natural sounding systems I test drove. The sub adds a good level of bass to music and movies alike. Be careful with some external inputs though! My PC had extra bass setting switched on in iTunes and Windows Media Player which went way over what was required and made the bass sound disconnected from the main left and right channels.
So it sounds great but what about the picture. Well with this little beauty you've got HDMi output with upscaling to 720p and 1080i and Farroujia (probably spelt wrong)DCDi deinterlacing which can offer a better and sharper picture on LCD and Plasma TVs. You've got component output too, but no upscaling through this mode, which is a shame. There are some remote control hacks for other Samsung upscaling DVDs that turn this option back on but I've found nothing for this model yet! The picture looked great on my Evesham 37" LCD TV but the upscaling will never give you true Hi-Def from standard DVD sources but 720p does give a slight picture improvement over the PAL 576p standard on my TV.
There's enough inputs for a standard install. As mentioned above I have my Sky+ HD box linked to the Digital Optical audio input for sound. There is no HDMi pass through on this unit though, you just get a HDMi output for whatever the DVD is playing! I've got my computer connected to the RCA left and right AUX 2 inputs and a Creative Zen Vision plugged into the side AUX 1 with an audio jack. The unit also has a USB port which will accept some, but not many, pen drives and MP3 players. My Zen would not work through this connection!
My only gripe would be the lack of control over the trebble and bass, There's none! This is very odd for any system and can be limiting if you get a DVD or CD with overtly strong bass. The 2.1 Virtual Surround can be pretty good at times with the right material but can just sound echoey on standard stereo feeds. To be honest this will never be as good as a proper 5.1 and my old system was better, but I knew it would be. Don't expect miracles and you'll be pleasantly surprised with this super HTIB set-up.

Review for Samsung HT-X200R - 2.1 Channel Designer Home Cinema System With HDMI - Gloss Black:
Virtually Smashing Samsung!!!
After having my BOSE Acoustimass speakers and dedicated Yamaha Home Cinema amp for a number of years I decided to sell-off most of my Home Cinema kit on Ebay along with my 500+ DVD collection and scale down my expensive habbit (Well we have a baby on the way in December and priorities change). So I sold all my precious gear and decided my scale down would be extreme and I'd go from a full-on 5.1 system to a minimalistic 2.1 virtual surround HTIB (Home Theatre in a Box). This is a very good system, very LOUD, Excellent Quality, and yes 100% gives you true 5.1 surround when connected to the PS3 via the optical out as i have tested it on my PS3 and it works.PSN ID SamTrainingHARD
Handy usb feature. however it woud of been nice if it had a few more inputs such as phono inputs. It even has an amazing microphone feature that automatically configures the best setting for the room. Has a easy set up as well as a very stylish finish.
