PS3 Cinema surround system.

Buyers opinion.
This system will do far more than I need it for. The key reason for this purchase was HD surround sound from the PS3 and it seems I've got it. I searched for ages but for all of you now with a PS3 that (like me) wonder will this work. Yes it will. I have hooked the TV up from the HDMI from the PS3 and Fed the sound from the PS3 via an Optical cable into the theatre kit. It is boomtastic and without exageration Blue Rays Discs sound like your in the movie.
It was straight forward to set up - Just plug in the mic and press the auto set up button on the control; Place the mic where you sit and it will balance the speakers.
The system is quiet and can be closed in a unit without the worry of overheating (Unlike the PS3).
Notes: I couldnt get the sound to work at all using HDMI and hooking it up using the Optical cable meant I had to set the Theatre to the SAT input rather than BRDVD one. (But this doesn't cause any running problems, it was just a moment of unexpected silence until I read this input is set aside for SATelite and switched it over) .Depending on the DVD, you sometimes have to tweak the PS3 or Theatre sound settings to get full 5.1 from all the speakers but you get the hang of how to do it and its a quick and easy pressing of a couple of buttons.
Conclusion:
As long as your TV has a HDMI in and you buy an optical cable you will get 5.1 at its best from this theatre set.

A good value tape deck.

As an entry level tape deck this Sony product does a good job.

Sound quality is remarkably good considering the price tag, and bearing in mind the tape format in question.

There are twin tape decks for normal or high speed dubbing, or simply for recording from your preferred source, be it compact disc, mini disc or radio etc. You can record only on deck B, and playback on either deck A or B.

There is auto reverse and relay play, twin digital tape counters, and a stereo level meter for assessing the optimum recording level. There is also an auto-record-level setting which does a good job.

There is Dolby B/C and HX-PRO, auto tape type selection, and auto music search which allows you to locate tracks either forwards or backwards a certain number from the point you are currently at on the tape. There is a fader for fading the music in or out, at the end of a tape for example. There is also a pitch control on deck A.

Given the price tag it's hard to be too critical of this product since it does a good job at both recording and playback. To put things into perspective - obviously it's not going to sound quite as high-fidelity as a CD player since you are limited by the older tape format - but taking this into account it's a good product.

MD still great

This is a great MD deck and very easy to use. Editing, titling are a breeze. Although I do use MP3s as well, I still love Minidisc.

MORPHY RICHARDS INTERNET RADIO

This is a really great radio. It performs very well and is easy to use.

Good product, but misleading picture

This is a great little machine with good functions and decent sound. Please note, it doesn't come with a remote control although one is shown in the picture.

JVC UX-G68

The JVC UX-G68 offers many grate features, I've not seen a product with these function for such a good price. It plays Mp3 from a DVD allowing the possibility for 100's of tracks on 1 disc. The AV output allows DVD's to be played with the option of also playing Divx Videos which also plays from a USB flash drive. grate product I recommend it..

philips mini hi-fi system/fwm139/05

I just have to let someone know how delighted I am with my new mini hi-fi system. I found itso easy to use and the very easy tuneing to radio stations,great sound from the twin speakers. A great bargain for so little cost to buy and next day delivery. I could not be more pleased.
