A Great Buy
Having researched long and hard for a blender and the Philips being the one that stood out, I decided to try it even though it cost more than I wanted to pay. I have not been disappointed. The suction pads are awesome, the product can be easily dismantled for cleaning and most importantly it blends.I am very happy

Its easy to clean, but this must be done immediately, dont leave the fruit to dry on as it will be a nightmare - just a quick run thru with a COLD tap (so the fruit doesnt"cook" onto the jug) & then a rince in hot water is all it takes to get it clean. Perfect smoothies in less than 5 minutes including cleaning

fantasic bit of kit
after much deliberation i chose this particular smoothie maker because of:decent motor size (other items reveiwed gave poor results due to small motor)

Superb!
I have had this for more than a year now and used it on numerous occasions for making cakes.I bake a lot as well as cook regularly, so I donot know what I would have done without this.The dough hooks are very good.The beaters as well as the whisk all do the job perfectly.I have made cakes,icings,cookies,breads,what not with this one.The speeds are good and though it is a bit wieghty to hold as another reviewer said,it is not like too heavy nor is it too flimsy.I like the look of it too,very neat and classy look.I would definitely recommend this.8

Handy Mini Food Chopper
This is my favoutite kitchen tool at the moment and it is always on my worktop ready to be used. Instead of trying to bite our way through veg such as sticks of celery,onions,fennel,carrot etc I put chunks into the chopper and a quick blitz turns it all into a salsa-style mixture. Then into a bowl with salad dressing etc and you are able to easily eat your 5 portions per day. It is invaluable for chopping herbs,watercress,hard cheese. It is very easy to wash. I recommend this product as I am very pleased with it.9

My initial impression is that the speed control is over complicated and the beater ejection button could be more precise but I may change my mind when I have had more practise with the replacement.
The Amazon replacement service was brilliant; as soon as I asked for a replacement I was directed to the necessary paperwork which I printed off and used in sending back the old mixer. The new one arrived in two working days just before Christmas. Amazing! Thank you Amazon.
I am not impressed with Russell Hobbs attitude to replacement parts, I had hoped we were moving away from a throw away culture to help the planet.

Disappointed
I needed a hand mixer but didn't want a very heavy one, this one appealed so I sent for it. The second time I used it I thought it wasn't beating very well so stopped it and saw that a weld had broken on one of the beaters. Cordless blender - a great convenience!
I bought this item to replace my old corded model - as I use a hand blender almost daily, I was finding the electrical cord to be a bit of a nuisance to say the least! As my old model was so efficient, I was a little dubious to say the least, but I can honestly say the performance of this is just as good, plus you get the convenience of it being cordless and on charge ready to use at any time. It comes complete with a mixing/measuring jug and its own charging stand, which also holds the (removable) blending head - no more having to put it away in the cupboard! It just stands tidily on the worktop, ready to go. Really user friendly and fantastic value for money.11

very poor quality product
Bought one about 3 months ago and it worked fine. Have since moved house and havent used the machine for a couple of weeks. On using it again it won't start, appears that the motor has broken. Must have used it in total no more than 12 times. Very poor quality product avoid this as it should last longer than 12 times.12

I bought a Kitchen Aid about a year ago, yes it looks good but is not as powerful as I expected and I make a lot of bread. I have now bought a Kenwood MX275 Patissier Mixer instead - still has retro cool design but has a much more powerful motor and is a third of the price!15

Good Machine for the preparation and processing food. Very impressive, handy and efficient for anybody who has interest in cooking food. All the attachments provided with it are O.K. except the blender which I found is very heavy as it is made of glass. It becomes difficult to separate the glass part from the base i.e.the blade part, once it is attached to it. Some times I found it difficult to blend and crush small bits of food items which get stuck at the bottom of the blender. Whisking two to three eggs is O.K.but it can't whisk just one egg. Shreder and slicer is very good.16

Unlike other processors, it chops ALL the ingredients, as the blade reaches right down to the bottom of the bowl. I also love the dual function and the grind works equally as well - it ground a small handful of fennel seeds like a dream (which would be lost under the blade in a large processor).
Perfect in the dishwasher, as my large processor takes up a lot more space.
A very good buy and well worth the few extra pennies.

The blender is fantastic the plastic blender recepticle is very poor quality have used it only a few times less than 12 and it is cracked and have now binned it as it is leaking.This is really disappointing .The blender is really great.19
