really useful accessory
I bought a KM001 18 months ago to replace an original 60's machine I inherited off my mum that finally died. Decided to buy this attchment too. Brilliant and so easy. The wife is in awe over how quick it is to use. The brother-in-law (a chef) bought us a hand maker, which was used twice and hidden in a cupboard, too much work. But this is a breeze. Fresh pasta in no time, mix the dough in the main bowl and trickle it directly into the maker. Easy to clean too. Recommended65

The blades on the blender go round and round.....
I bought this blender because it got excellent reviews (allbeit only 3 of them)and it was reasonably priced. However when I placed 2 chopped apples in it and hit the button the apple bits jumped up, fell down and nothing else happened apart from a helluva lot of noise. I thought to myself maybe chopped apples aren't this things strong point, so given that the box it came in boasted of its ability with ice cubes, I dumped my chopped apples and popped in a few ice cubes. When I hit the button the ice cubes jumped up, fell down and nothing else happened apart from a helluva lot of noise and a sense of deja vu.This thing couldn't blend pish :o(

Hand blender - water trapped in lid
I have bought this blender, and it works wonderfully for baby food. However, when you wash the item, water gets stuck in the black top and stays there, there is no way of getting it out, and the water has now gone off and smells really horrible. this is obviously a design fault... can someone do anything about this. I love the blender, but the water getting in when washing is a real nightmare.68

Looks beautiful next to the 'midnight blue' AGA....and just as solid. Dropping this on your foot could be terminal. Like other users here I paid a lot for this item on the understanding of getting a high quality product. It's not bad, but mine also leaks and I need to replace parts and this is after not a lot of use over a couple of years.Also, the top cap is not a very effective seal and liquid will spurt out of it meaning you can't fill the jug very full. I had some nice burns from boiling soup for a while as a memento of this.
