New Price: £86.95

Review for Nokia 6300 SIM Free Mobile Phone - Silver:
Not so good for heavy users.
By all accounts this phone may seem good, it's nice, easy to use, small ect ect BUT if your a heavy user then it's not so good. I use mines for business and if you have any decent amount of texts or pictures on the phone it will start to cut out and freeze on you which is very very frustrating. This is my second replacement in 1.5 years so I would look elsewhere if I had the oppertunity.

5800 (UK, Black/Red)

Used Price: £140.00
New Price: £167.99

Review for 5800 (UK, Black/Red):
Unreliable piece of tat
I've used Nokias for years and been happy, so I expected the 5800 to be as good.

Unfortunately, it was unpredictable from the start. I only use the phone for the essentials, calls, texts and the odd photo, as well as a diary.

I never got to using it as a music player because it showed itself untrustworthy very early on. Now it's dead after less than three months.

Yes it takes a while for the first bar of the battery to go, but it fair rattles through the rest of them, then gives up with little or no warning - and this with light use. The longest I've got it to last is four days.

When it runs out of battery it's a pig to get re-started, getting most of the way through start-up then suddenly re-booting two or three times.

After dying again from low battery on Friday night, it has now refused to re-boot and given me the following message: Start Up Failed: Return to retailer.

So it's goodbye Nokia 5800 for me. Trying to get my provider to replace it with a Blackberry. Looks like they will only give me another one of these pieces of junk instead.

What else went wrong? Well, it frequently locked on incoming calls, allowing me to take the call but requiring a re-boot afterwards.

Oh, and it can't even keep the time accurately, easily losing 15-20 minutes in a single day, then updating when I received a call.

So now it's dead, and I've lost numbers, photos, texts and my diary.

My colleague at work has one that's misbehaving in the same way, so it's not just mine. So if you're thinking of getting one of these - don't.

Nokia 6300 - All Black Edition (Unlocked to all networks)

Used Price: £76.98
New Price: £98.98

Review for Nokia 6300 - All Black Edition (Unlocked to all networks):
a superb phone - you will not be disappointed
first off, I will outline the subtle (but welcomed) differences between the black version and the original.

the black looks better - the keys are slightly less hard than the original silver 6300 - the rear plastic cover no longer looks cheap but has a nice matt feel

now, about the phone - it is a fantastic phone and one of the best nokia have made - there are some minor niggles - the speaker could be a touch louder, the music player could be more refined, the side volume key is a bit stiff

these are tiny issues which do not affect the overall brilliance of this phone

i'm a big nokia fan and i'm very picky when it comes to mobiles - the last mobile i really liked was a nokia 6230i and this was my upgrade

the screen is also fantastic, one of the best you will find on any mobile - the phone does the jobs well (texting and phoning)- the interface is quick and easy to use

it does the basics very well - with some nice touches (eg. radio) - the camera is good for 2 megapixel - the sound is great - the screen is amazing - the phone is slim and light - the battery is very good - you will find it hard to find anything negative to say about this phone

this is one of the best recent phones nokia have made - even some of the newer models can't match this phone - this is a phone which will still be great in years to come

if you can get the black version - even better - but the nokia 6300 is great and don't let other reviews convince you otherwise

if you do happen to disagree with me, you're wrong! :)

Nokia N95 Sim Free Mobile Phone

Used Price: £120.00
New Price: £170.00

Review for Nokia N95 Sim Free Mobile Phone:
THE BEST MOBILE PHONE ON THE MARKET.
The N95 is staggering with a list of features that almost boggle the mind , from it's 8GB internal memory. To the 5MP camera with a flash that has many on-board editing features that I don't even have on my dedicated Kodak camera. There is also a second camera mounted on the front of the phone to a lower resolution. Then there is the high resolution LCD screen that's pin-sharp and far better than 90% of mobiles. It has a radio with 20 pre-sets that also offer great reception on all channels. It's also quad band that uses other networks antenna's to insure a strong signal. The only real niggles are the small keys below the screen which are difficult to use. And the lack of and expandable memory if you use the full 8GB's with various Apps. However all in all this is a fine phone that's worth the high costs and you won't regret buying.

6500 Classic (Black)

Used Price: £75.00
New Price: £89.99

Review for 6500 Classic (Black):
FANDABYDOSEY!
This phone is amazing! It looks wonderful and even works wonderfully! It seems heavier than other phones in its class, but don't let that put you off, its not much more. There isn't a memory card slot which seems to annoy some people, but that doesn't bother me, seeing as there's just under 1GB already on the phone. when I was in the shop I thought it was a little overpriced, but when I got it home I realised it wasn't, the workman ship is outstanding, and beats all the other phones I've ever had-it is really robust and solid in your hand!
I bought mine direct from o2 at £97.86, but shop around- you may find a better deal!
It's a definite yes from me!!!

N96 16GB (UK, Black)

Used Price: £218.00
New Price: £295.00

Review for N96 16GB (UK, Black):
Potentially great, but let down by user interface and speeed

So I bought this as an upgrade to my N95. I've now gone back to my N95.

Reason: N96 is nice looking but thats where it ends. The smooth keys, slow software and nasty interface have put me off.

I only changed as I thought the N96 would do what the N95 does only better. It doesnt.

Nokia 6021 Sim Free Mobile Phone

Used Price: £29.99
New Price: £47.99

Review for Nokia 6021 Sim Free Mobile Phone:
Nothing more than a phone
This phone is good if you don't need much more than talk and SMSes. I was inspired about Tom Limoncelli Time Management for System Administrators -book and thought I'll use my phone as PDA. In case you consider using this phone as a calendar & task container be aware that this phone just can't do the job.

Firstly the phone concatenates all calendars to single as an calendar. On my home mac there's my girl friends hobbies and work schedule that I'm interested of but I cannot import them to this without mixing them together with my own markups. That's bad thing because if I sync my phone with my computer at work exchange marks be as busy when my girl friend is having dance lesson.

Another huge problem is that after about 40 or 50 task memory area becomes full. When task list is full tasks that are done can be dropped from memory when syncing but I feel that the phone just throws dice which task it will import to undone list. Most likely some task of the day are not being imported and if you depend on beeps telling you to switch task you'll end up missing some of them.

Major annoyance with task is pressing button that yes I noticed that phone wanted me to see it and press button. If I don't press button next task alarm will not beep. Finally after some hours wondering hmm, the phone has been silent long time I'll remember to push check button and pending tasks will beep at ones.

Minor annoyance is that calendar & task synchronization cannot be done if phone is in any menu, like menu showing waiting task to be checked.

Summary: this is phone, not even simple PDA. I wonder why Nokia listed this as business model.

beware this seller
Go Buy 2000 supply their products without any means of identification whatsoever. The brand new product I purchased came with, no means of initiating the warranty period and the authenticity of the product could not be verified. I believe that other sellers products are genuine but Go Buy 2000 supplied a so-called brand new product to me in a re-sealable plastic bag! and not a blister-pack as advertised. They will also tell you that Amazon advise them not to refund postage costs. This is of course a lie. Of course Amazon do not advise their sellers not to refund postage. Judging by the feedback Go Buy 2000 are getting it can only be a matter of time before Amazon suspend their account. If you don't want to be disappointed please use another seller

Nokia E71 Sim Free Mobile Phone - Grey Steel

Our Price: £265.17 & this item Delivered FREE in the UK with Super Saver Delivery. See details & conditions
Used Price: £159.00
New Price: £200.00

Review for Nokia E71 Sim Free Mobile Phone - Grey Steel:
I miss my blackberry...
I bought my E71 about 3 months ago when I was made redundant and had to give up the blackberry pearl which had run my life for the previous 18 months or so. Many of my criticisms or observations are based on what I miss from my blackberry. My wife has an Iphone and I regularly look at how easy it is to use and wish Nokia had spent the same amount of time making it easy to use the phone rather than just cramming on more and more applications without making it any easier to find or use them.

This phone is packed with features, some of which are very useful and some of which are useless. One of the problems that I find is that to get to many of the applications you want you need to go to the menu then try to remember where the application is. There are lots and lots of folders. All of the newer apps you download go into the"installations folder" where they seem to be indexed with the oldest ones at the top. I have still not found a way to put the ones I want at the top of the list. I know you can customise the home page to put some apps on quick links there but there is only space for 5 or so. With my blackberry you could choose which applications went were on the home page and you could hide the ones you did not use.

There doesn't seem to be a way of configuring this phone to have all your communications on the same list. On a blackberry in the same list you would have incoming and outgoing emails, incoming and outgoing text messages and made and received calls. Nokia has kindly split this up. So you have to scroll from screen to screen to see sent emails, sent texts, received emails, received texts, to see made and received calls you need to go to the call log (which is on a different menu. To me this makes life a lot harder.

The nokia email program does not like my email address (btinternet) so I have been using Seven (which is excellent) but every time I switch the phone off, it asks me to set up my nokia email account.

When you want to update the phone you need to plug it into your pc or laptop and then it wipes your entire phone so if you have not backed it up then you will spend the next few days trying to reconfigure the phone.

The nokia synch application works well with outlook via Bluetooth and copies contacts and appointments backwards and forwards.

Battery life is excellent; the keyboard is good, the screen is just about the right size. One application which I love is the Sports Tracker program which will use GPS to work out how far you have run, walked, cycled, how many calories, how fast you were going etc

I don't really like the rubber flap on the left hand side which covers the headphones and mini usb socket as I think it looks cheap and nasty.

I find the interface between contacts and what you can do with them quite clumsy. So when you find a contact, to look at email address, phone numbers etc you need to go to menu and then click open. When you start an email and type into the"to" box it does scroll through your contacts but when you find the one you want you either have to press the select key or enter. If you click the"ok" key in the middle of your controller, it puts a space in the middle of the name you are typing and you have to start again.

When you type a name into the phone it scrolls through your address book, to choose the right one you have to click up (not ok for some reason) then to choose whether to text, call, email you have to click right. To me this is really cumbersome.

If you have 10 Davids in your phone and you want to call one once you have typed David, then you can't put in a space and then put the first letter of their surname as it loses the list of Davids, you need to click up and scroll through them. Though admittedly you could start with their surname but you would then have the same problem, especially with your own family as presumably most of them have the same surname?

When you click the messaging key and select new message, the phone brings up a shortlist of message types; the first (default) option is text messaging, then multimedia message, the audio message and then email. For a phone which I think was created for emailing, I would have thought the default would be email.

I guess some of my gripes may be possible to resolve as this phone is pretty customizable but I have spent a long time online trying to find out how and have been unsuccessful.

This is a good product but I can't help but think how much better it could have been if Nokia had spent more time looking at other products and seeing how easy they are to use rather than just adding more and more applications which are impossible to find.

Nokia 3109 Sim Free Mobile Phone

New Price: £57.95

Review for Nokia 3109 Sim Free Mobile Phone:
Best phone yet
After a number of unsatisfactory payg phones most of which had features I neither needed or wanted at last I've found a phone which does everything simply. Its menus are logical and easy to negotiate, the buttons are big enough to see without glasses, it is large enough to be robust but still reasonably light, connects easily to my car with bluetooth. It has a music player facility which I won't use (I have an ipod)no camera (I already have a digital one) but only needs charging once a week although permanently turned on. Can highly recommend.

NOKIA N73

Used Price: £69.00

Review for NOKIA N73:
Highly featured smartphone
I've had my N73 for over a year now and it has worked fine. So far, I haven't found a better 'phone for anywhere near the price, although I'm considering the N85 when it becomes available.

Pros:
Good sound quality
Good web browser (but needs 3G network for best performance)
Compact
Rugged
Good camera with flash
Excellent battery life (typically 3+ days between recharges)
Great screen with transreflective display - works indoors and outdoors
Expandable with uSD slot
Symbion OS with downloadable and installable apps such as Google Maps
Integrates well with Outlook, has replaced my PDA as an organiser

Cons:
Limited internal memory, needs uSD card to be useful
Can be slow to operate camera and media player
Expensive
Uses Nokia pop-port - doesn't support standard 3.5mm headphones without adapter
No WiFi or GPS

Nokia 6310i Mobile Phone - Silver

Used Price: £31.99
New Price: £84.00

Review for Nokia 6310i Mobile Phone - Silver:
This phone is worth paying for!
I have owned my Nokia 6310i for over 5 years. I am still using the original battery provided with the phone. I only have to charge the battery once or twice a week at the most. I have dropped it several times on to hard floors or pavements, and other than a chip in the cover, the phone always emerges unscathed. The 6310i has to be the Thinking Persons Mobile Phone. I have a more modern Sony Ericcson which has a camera and an awful joystick control. I have had to replace the battery after only 18 months, and it has been repaired 3 times since I was given it with a new contract. If you don't need a camera phone and only make calls and send texts, forget the latest technology, buy a Nokia 6310i!
