Review for Pantone Huey Pro:
Rubbish
The first huey pro I purchased resulted in a strong magenta cast, this was a known fault and huey replaced it within about a month, the second one apparently works however it produces a dull, flat and slightly green / cyan white. This is clearly a pretty basic bit of kit and I am staggered that Pantone have put their name on it. There is nothing"pro" about it, it is absolute rubbish.23
Review for HP W2007V 20" Widescreen Flat Panel TFT Monitor, Built in Speakers, 1680x1050 Resolution, 5ms Response Time, 1000:1 Contast Ratio:
The internal speakers are good enough for watching a film on, (but no hifi here), and the style is just lovely. Many people have commented - wow how much was that!
And just so you know I bought mine in Denmark, and paid like 200 pounds equivalent for it.
As for the other reviewer - no DVI? Who cares man - can YOU see any difference in the picture quality? Me gf and I can't, and I am typing / looking at a DVI-connected monitor right now. (Somebody just gave me a monitor - dam, could have saved some money, lol). Don't forget the Digital Rights Management stuff that can be carried over a DVI-connected device....
So, I'm delighted with my monitor, and bah to anybody that says different!

Excellent picture quality. Isn't that what its supposed to do?
I bought mine March(ish) 2006, and it stood out from the 15, or so monitors that the superstore had powered on for demonstration. Clearly this glossy-thing is the future, as the colours were BEAUTIFUL compared with the 'non-reflective' screens. Which seemed very dark, in comparison.The internal speakers are good enough for watching a film on, (but no hifi here), and the style is just lovely. Many people have commented - wow how much was that!

excellent monitor, got the monitor so i can play my xbox 360 on if my girlfriends watching tv,hooked up my xbox came on straight away play cod 4 perfect picture no problems at all, hooked up my laptop after the 2min installation disc and all great. looking at pictures great, movies great the only 1 thing was the words on the desktop were a little blur (and i mean little) but im not to botherd about that. now for the sound keep in mind its only 1w speakers, the sound is not bad xbox i could hear fine on the laptop it was slightly lower but all you need to do is hook it up to a stereo and then no problems as loud as the stereo.conclusion

Review for Samsung 720N 17 inch SXGA TFT LCD Monitor 1280 x 1024 (Silver):
The monitor's other specifications are more than adequate, if not particularly notable; an 8ms respond time, analogue (standard) and DVI connectors, and various configuration options and extra features provided by Samsung's bundled software and drivers. The drivers on the included CD aren't needed to install the monitor -- installation was indeed as simple as attaching the cables and switching it on -- and the software Samsung provide is only likely to be worthwhile for someone who wants great control over the image being displayed. I uninstalled it after a short time and have found the default display, achieved simply by switching the monitor on, to be perfectly acceptable.
The monitor itself is ergonomically very well-designed, solidly-made and generally easy on the eye; black, brushed silver, and with a relatively subtle"Samsung" at the bottom of the panel beside the menu buttons, it neither stands out nor looks at all out of place on a desk. Its small power on light is somewhat bright, but certainly not distracting, and the aforementioned OSD buttons are firm but easily pressed; the on-screen display itself is easy to navigate, clear, and functional. Its small, circular, sturdy base suffers from very limited adjustability, but it is solid and, like the panel itself, obviously well-made. All cables and connectors, including an adapter for those with Macs rather than PCs, were included with the very well-packaged monitor.
The 720N's actual image quality is, overall, impressive for a monitor at this price range. Viewing angle is not good; correct colouring and contrast is quickly lost when it is viewed from very much of an angle. A small amount of white backlight"bleed" is noticeable when viewing a white picture on the right-hand edge of the monitor, and its default setting may be a little too bright for some users, but these issues are either minor or easily remedied with the monitor's extensive adjustment options. With an 8ms response time, little ghosting should be evident, and it is -- in fast-paced games a small amount of ghosting is noticeable, but as with the viewing angle and backlight issues, only the most discerning users are likely to be troubled by it. Text is displayed sharply and clearly, colours are bright and even, and the picture offered by the 720N is generally very good. The monitor arrived with no dead pixels, and at the time of writing has functioned reliably for several weeks.
Pros:
* Generally good image quality
* Lightweight, aesthetically pleasing design
* Excellent range of adjustment options
* All cables included
* Price
Cons:
* Minor image quality flaws
* Poor viewing angle range

Review for Samsung 720N 17 inch SXGA TFT LCD Monitor 1280 x 1024 (Silver):
Samsung 720N Monitor
With LCD panels seemingly constantly falling in price, and increasing in both size and response time, there are probably fewer reasons to buy a 17" display than there were not long ago. But the Samsung 720N is not only affordable (even taking into account the low prices of some 19" monitors available), but has a native resolution of 1280x1024; significantly higher a resolution than any 17" CRT monitor could support and large enough to give most users more than enough"elbow room" on screen.The monitor's other specifications are more than adequate, if not particularly notable; an 8ms respond time, analogue (standard) and DVI connectors, and various configuration options and extra features provided by Samsung's bundled software and drivers. The drivers on the included CD aren't needed to install the monitor -- installation was indeed as simple as attaching the cables and switching it on -- and the software Samsung provide is only likely to be worthwhile for someone who wants great control over the image being displayed. Review for LG L226WTQ-SF - Flat panel display - TFT - 22" - widescreen - 1680 x 1050 / 60 Hz - 300 cd/m2 - 3000:1 - 2 ms - 0.282 mm - DVI-D, VGA - black, silver:
Visual Quality: Running at 1680x1050 is great, everything is crisp on this screen and the resolution is fantastic for both Gaming and regular use. The colour is fantastic, rendered very well and the screen is bright enough to be used in a really light room. A feature I really like is the different 'modes'; movie mode being my most used other than standard, it really pumps up the contrast and delivers a great cinema feel. Gamers rejoice: The fast response time of this monitor means that gaming is fast, and there is no ghosting at all. I've played both my PC (Bioshock, Oblivion, Doom 3 etc) and my PS3 (Resistance, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm etc) through this monitor without any ghosting, response issues or nought. Good news for a cheap monitor with a high resolution and great quality! Also to note is that this monitor is HDCP compliant, so you can watch blu-ray movies and protected content on it. One quick thing to note is that this monitor only supports 60hz, and nothing else. This doesn't bother me, but it may affect some people's decisions so I thought I'd include it.
Audio: There is none. Not even a headphone jack.
Build quality: Solid, mostly plastic construction on the base, but the screen itself is weighty and has a well-constructed feel to it. A nice touch is that the base is fitted on a rotating circlet so that the monitor can be rotated without actually having to move the base unit.
Connectivity: Not much here. DVI-D and VGA is all you get. Not even a USB slot or two.
Overall. If you don't mind a lack of features, and you simply want a stunning screen at a cheap price point then this is your monitor. It's definitely in the budget range in terms of connectivity and options, but performance wise this monitor is a sure bet for gamers and casual users alike! I give it 4 out of 5 because for the price it excells, however I would have liked to at least seen some built in speakers or a headphone jack. Hope this helps.

A Good Choice!
I don't typically go for LG in the electronics department, but in this case I'm glad I did! At under £200, this screen undercuts the price of most other 22 inch LCD monitors, but does it undercut features?Visual Quality: Running at 1680x1050 is great, everything is crisp on this screen and the resolution is fantastic for both Gaming and regular use. Excellent for home PC
Bought this to replace my old 17" monitor, and have had no problems at all. Attaching the cables is a bit tight, but the cables are safely out of the way and the monitor is good and stable on the stand. You may need to download the latest drivers, but I've had no problems just as plug & play. Good visually, clear, not overbright, and no problems after a few months use.30

Review for Acer AL2216W 22" Monitor - Silver - 700:1 - 300 cd/m2 - 1680x1050 - 5ms:
When it came it had no dead pixels which was great, on turning it on it auto configured itself to perfectly view the output signal from my computer (no messing around with the finer settings on my Leadtek nVidia 6600GT or the OSD, just selected the native resolution and double pressed the AUTO button on the monitor).
My only gripes with this monitor (apart from the fact that a nice 8800 to drive native resolution graphics in Need for Speed Carbon would cost £207!) would be when you turn it on, it shows an Acer logo for 4 seconds, and coming out of power saving screen mode takes about 5 seconds, which is a little annoying, nearly as long as a CRT, but not an issue really.
Overall really good, would highly recommend

After seeing the price of this monitor I bought one straight away to replace my current setup (a 17" CTX S762A with a terrible aspect ratio of 5:4 1280x1024 in Dual View with a 28" CRT Beko widescreen TV for watching DVDs).When it came it had no dead pixels which was great, on turning it on it auto configured itself to perfectly view the output signal from my computer (no messing around with the finer settings on my Leadtek nVidia 6600GT or the OSD, just selected the native resolution and double pressed the AUTO button on the monitor).

However, if you were to purchase this item, I strongly recommend you to get yourself a good quality VGA cable (if you dont have DVI that is) like from Belkin. I have been using this monitor for almost 2 weeks now. I have to say I am generally impressed. I particularly like the adjustable stand. Although the colour range of any LCD monitor is DEFINITELY smaller than a CRT one, the colours of this monitor are still excellent.However, if you were to purchase this item, I strongly recommend you to get yourself a good quality VGA cable (if you dont have DVI that is) like from Belkin. Screen calibration the safe and easy way
The Huey makes screen calibration a simple process with effective results. Colour management is an important subject for digtial imagers yet one easily made complicated. If you want a reliable one stop solution, to get your monitor's colours looking realistic, then the Huey could be for you. The device also monitors, at chosen intervals, the changing light levels within a room and adjusts your screen appropriately -- which is useful when processing and manipulating images. The Huey takes about three minutes to use after which it is always interesting to to compare before and after results!38

Great, great monitor
This is just a fantastic monitor. Very reasonably priced, a nice crisp and bright display. I play Half-Life 2 on it, and the response is great - no ghosting. There is a little bit of glow in the bottom right of my screen from the backlight which you can see when playing dark games like Half Life, but it's hardly noticeable, and what can you ask for the price? No dead pixels. You can tilt the screen, but there is no height adjustment and it's not exceptionally high off the desk, so just be aware of that. I'm very happy with this monitor and would recommend...39
