I don't use the built-in speakers, so no comment on that.
This monitor runs on 1080p HD quality with ps3. It is very bright, clear and high quality. Much better than my friend's 32" lcd tv.
Seriously, if you are planning to buy monitor for ps3, get this. I have to admit that I had some problem setting up with ps3 at first but I can help anyone with this. You can check my video in youtube"PS3 with Acer 22" TFT Monitor X222W 1080p HD" to prove it is working perfectly. Post comments there if you need help.
I'm very very happy with this product. Worth paying this. Didn't expect this much for acer.

Great product
I was looking for a cheap monitor and for the price and quality this more than beats the more pricey options out there. It set itself up automatically so there was no messing around there. The speakers are a bit feeble, but as I had my own speakers set up anyway this was not a problem. It also looks good as well.5

Excellent value
Needed an economical solution to replace an old screen without spending loads. Arrived quickly and was easy to set up. Picture is great and seems fine. I have seen other reviews on this from very discerning people. Value for money it does its job. Only very minor issue is the inbuild speakers are only just ok. Fine for standard computer use but music playback streches the boundaries a little. But my daughter is delighted with it.Good price, good equipment.

Review for LG M198WA - 19" Wide Monitor With TV Tuner - black:
I recommend this as a PC monitor with additional speakers but advise you to buy a out and out TV. I don't agree with one of the reviews that tinny speaker quality is to be expected from a flat screen TV. I have a 26inch and the quality is excellent.

Wouldn't reccommend as a TV
The speaker quality is not what I expected for £160. It would make a good PC monitor but for me it falls short as a TV. I also use an Infra Red receiver to connect to a Sky Box down stairs. It did not relay this is consistent quality.I recommend this as a PC monitor with additional speakers but advise you to buy a out and out TV. Review for Samsung SM245B 24" 5ms Black LCD Monitor:
It is light, smart and performs well. As has been mentioned elsewhere, the default settings are very bright and it is difficult to adjust to match another monitor, but I reckon that is seldom of critical importance: with the large display area available you are only being greedy wanting to use it with another monitor! Having said that, I would rather like to marry it with an identical unit ... The on-screen menu is not difficult to navigate so much as awkward, and pressing the"Auto" button (which is next to, in line with and is almost indistinguishable from the navigation buttons) by accident can be an annoyance!
I have had some trouble, albeit temporary, with what I suspect is some kind of synchronisation problem leading to hroizontal yellow streaking on some white areas on images such as a Win2k logon screen. This may be a problem with my display card rather than the monitor, however, as it was solved by resetting the display resolution from Control Panel -> Display -> Settings.
I have used the monitor for non-games oriented uses such as code development, word processing and a little image processing, revelling in the available viewing area, and still more would be even better, especially on the code development side: the more I can see, the better. Image manipulation can also benefit from plenty of space, so who knows, when I have made some more room on my desk ...
The package is not perfect, however, and the stand at least gives the impression that it was designed to allow for rotating the display to portrait attitude, as a few degrees of rotation is"available", but I haven't managed to get it to turn yet. This means that there is some unnecessary play in the mounting, but the monitor doesn't move by itself, so it's not much of a problem! There is some degree of tilt, which is useful as the range of viewing angle is not very impressive. Personally this is of no concern to me, but for potential purchasers who may wish to use the monitor as a multimedia display, it could be a significant disadvantage. The base of the stand is large and provides a sturdy support but, at the same time, takes up a generous amount of space! Clearly this is a delightful improvement on a similar CRT (I have a huge old Belinea 23" CRT which is on a wall-mounted arm) but is worthy of consideration.

Review for Samsung SM245B 24" 5ms Black LCD Monitor:
Splendid value; good quality
I finally plumped for this monitor due to its price and the consistency of the reviews I found and I am very pleased with it. It comes with a sturdy stand and two cables (aside from the power lead), each with DVI at one end, one with a mini-D-range VGA connector and the other with another DVI at the other. There are 2 power switches, which gave me some concern initially, as I forgot to check the rocker under the back of the unit when installing! The other switch is circular with a nice blue led in the centre which flashes when the monitor is"resting".It is light, smart and performs well. As has been mentioned elsewhere, the default settings are very bright and it is difficult to adjust to match another monitor, but I reckon that is seldom of critical importance: with the large display area available you are only being greedy wanting to use it with another monitor! Review for Acer P223W 22" CrystalBrite Widescreen Monitor - Black:
In movie mode, the refresh rate copes fine, and the contrast ratio really shines. It looks really punchy and colours are extremely well reproduced.
Haven't tried games yet, but I have no doubt it performs as good as a Samsung!
Unless you are a die hard DVI freak, don't worry about the lack of the connection, VGA is fine!
The stand is liken to an LCD TV stand, very low! But it can me mounted using VESA standard mounts!

Review for Acer P223W 22" CrystalBrite Widescreen Monitor - Black:
Is this monitor THAT GOOD???.........
Simple answer is YES indeed it is. I received this monitor hoping that it was as good as i hoped it would be. As soon as it came out of the box (not even connected!!) i was blown away. I had a HP 19" and a Samsung 19", and they are really good top end monitors........BUT Acer have worked wonders with this monitor. The WHOLE monitor (including the screen surface, but not the base) is finished in jet black gloss. When off, it looks like a TV!! When on, the image is sharp and the contrast and colours are awesome when compared against standard 1000:1 monitors! I would go as far to say that the glossy screen improves the image further still!! Have you ever compared a Matt photo to a glossy one? Well if not and you have the chance, do so, and you will see what i'm getting at. There are very few monitors that have the glossy finish all over, and I do not understand why not? In Adobe Lightroom, when you dim the background so that you can only see the photo, the black borders are sooo black that it looks as if that portion of the monitor is switched off! In fact, that goes for all blacks. Whether in a movie or on websites blacks are as black as the bezel.....JET BLACKIn movie mode, the refresh rate copes fine, and the contrast ratio really shines. great value for money
i recently purchased this TV/Monitor and i must say i was supprisingly impressed, samsung have managed to make yet another peice of affordable yet highly technical TV, it has both DVI and 15sub vga pc connections, a hdmi, component and scart, has a 5ms response time which is very good for gaming, i have an xbox 360 via hdmi and pc via dvi connected to mine, both look astonishingly crisp, even though the resolution of the screen is only 1440x900, the 19" version of this range has the ability to run 1080p images @ 67.5khz and looks absolutely stunning running this, my only 1 problem i have with this TV is not the lack of freeview, it is due to it being a PC monitor it has a 16:10 aspect ratio rather then a 16:9, this is fine when running your pc at the native screen resolution but anything running through hdmi, component or scart will have a very thin border at the top and bottom of the screen, nothing major but it takes a while to adjust to this, all in all this is a superb screen that i can reccomend to anyone and at the price it is here on sale (i payed £249.99 for mine, not from amazon) it is a bargain not to be missed,13
Review for Samsung SM206BW 20" Widescreen TFT Monitor:
Admittedly it is good for games. It has great colour / movement etc but maybe not the sharpest picture.
The main problem though is you cant read text on it without getting a headache within 5 mins. My girlfriend said the same thing. Everything is blurred. I spent ages playing with settings. I have a decent graphics card, so it is purely down to the monitor.
This confirmed my early fears that an LCD flatscreen looks nice on your desk but it is still ropy technology. My current CRT monitor was cheap and made 8 years ago yet is still better than this.
Its so poor Im returning it tomorrow.

I've gone from a 17" crt monitor to this screen. It's so clear! I honestly thought a screen wouldn't make much difference to a computer, but it really does. And at this price, it's a steal. If you have an older lcd, or especially if you have a crt monitor, don't hesitate to buy!16

Review for HP W2007V 20" Widescreen Flat Panel TFT Monitor, Built in Speakers, 1680x1050 Resolution, 5ms Response Time, 1000:1 Contast Ratio:
The internal speakers are good enough for watching a film on, (but no hifi here), and the style is just lovely. Many people have commented - wow how much was that!
And just so you know I bought mine in Denmark, and paid like 200 pounds equivalent for it.
As for the other reviewer - no DVI? Who cares man - can YOU see any difference in the picture quality? Me gf and I can't, and I am typing / looking at a DVI-connected monitor right now. (Somebody just gave me a monitor - dam, could have saved some money, lol). Don't forget the Digital Rights Management stuff that can be carried over a DVI-connected device....
So, I'm delighted with my monitor, and bah to anybody that says different!

Excellent picture quality. Isn't that what its supposed to do?
I bought mine March(ish) 2006, and it stood out from the 15, or so monitors that the superstore had powered on for demonstration. Clearly this glossy-thing is the future, as the colours were BEAUTIFUL compared with the 'non-reflective' screens. Which seemed very dark, in comparison. The internal speakers are good enough for watching a film on, (but no hifi here), and the style is just lovely. Review for Samsung SM2032BW 20" Glossy Widescreen Black TFT Monitor:
Anyway, when looking at a local national store, I was quite taken by the look of the Samsung. Very smart. Also fancied the HP equivalent, but I thought the shiny screen, would cause all sorts of reflection problems, so I bought the Samsung. Looks very smart on my computer desk too.
First thing was, if you are using Vista, you have to go online to download the driver, the disc supplied is for XP and lower. O.K. That was no problem.
Then the version of"Magictune" software, that allows you to adjust the monitor within Windows, was also for XP, so had to download that from a different site. O.K. that was no problem either. Installed that, and was very impressed, until my next reboot produced a window that said my computer was not suitable for Magictune. (NVIDEA 7300SE graphics card)Uninstalled Magictune with a grunt of annoyance. The monitor controls are so fiddley.
O.K. lets set it up. Oh...why is the bottom part of the screen looking like it's lit up from below with a light making it look like a stage waiting for actors to appear?
Changed the angle, and the top part of the screen goes very dark now.
The end conclusions are, the monitor needs to be at least 3" higher (75mm for modernists) although 12" seems to be better (like on the showroom shelf)It seems the best position, is with your eyes level with the middle of the screen, but there's not enough angle adjustment to achieve this, and if you could, the monitor would be at about 45 degrees.
Still, it will collect the dust that may otherwise go to the computer.
Last comment is, the monitor seems very poor on yellows. Just what you need with files in Windows. Lets try adjusting it AGAIN! I'm getting eyestrain now!!
Does anybody know where I can get a power supply PCB for a Dell Ultrasharp FP1800 monitor?

Very annoying buzz
Like the previous reviewer, the two stars are for Amazons excellent service. Delivered very quickly and collected without a hitch. The monitor very clear, the contrast needs a little altering to stop it appearing over exposed. However the buzz it emits drove us crazy! Despite all the good points this buzz meant it had to go back.
