Bargain Brilliance

This surely has to be one of the best value screens on the market.
It's priced at the bottom end of the range for this size, but delivers top quality picture, with bright clear colours and absolutely no flicker.
Text is extremely clear which was precisely what my student son needed for long hours writing essays. I wish I'd bought one for myself!

nice monitor

bought 3 of these to replace my 19" Sony monitors. Look great, hdmi connection with a seperate sound port too, something lacking on my Sony hdtv, using these at work for design work they give you a 20% stretch on how the image actually looks so a circle looks like an oval unless you switch to native 1920 x 1200 which sorts that out but text in emails & icons are tiny then, I'm still undecided using them for that but probably my ignorance on how to set it up doesn't help, if you keep aspect ratio the screen works out only 20mm taller than my old Sony ones. Warnings about dead pixels on these monitors from sellers, out of 3 monitors I have 1 dead pixel on 1 of the monitors which you really only see when the screen is black.
The adjustable stand is great too, seems to work with a supressor inside it so you just gently move the monitor up & down & let go where you want it to stay & there it stays, beautiful design, you can swivel & tilt the monitor or even rotate the whole screen to portrait physically, hold montior sides & rotate, a very tasty piece of kit.
Great for gaming & watching movies in these proportions though & I'm sure I'll get it how I want it once I've got past these first few days of playing with it, 5 stars from me no problem.

A while on now, sorted out my resolutions 1440 x 900 works great so it's all good in that regard but one thing has become apparent that the viewing angle isn't so good, with that my Sony HDTV wins, If you look at the screen from sharp viewing angles it can give lighter or darker area's, nothing major really but like to be thorough.

Great monitor but NO WARRANTY

I purchased two of these monitors in January and I am very pleased with there performance so far... however, I have had a few issues with one monitor powering itself off (it has now broken completely).

After phoning the MaxData technical warranty line (Belinea is owned by MaxData) I was informed that the company has filed for insolvency and is not honouring its 3 year replacement service.

Be careful purchasing any Belinea goods as you will be without technical support or a replacement service!

Good monitor

Brought this monitor at Staples in the UK for £129.99. Nice looking, no speakers built in which is a plus. Only supports VGA no DVI.

Works great on all my games. Use either 1280x720 or 1680x1050 where possible. NO ghosting or blurring while playing unreal 3 or COD4.

Recommended.

Not got top marks due to no DVI - I was forced to by a DVI to VGA converter.

Nice screen, shame about the manual

The screen, no dead pixels, fast and bright, maybe overcolourful. Every cable needed, mains UK and German, VGA and DVI-D. A detailed explanation of the OSD menu and it's operation is very poor. Customer support agreed and had no knowledge of it being updated. Tried the manuals of other models in the range, the same info missing. A screen that should have 5 stars can only give 3 due to Samsungs complacent attitude.
