excellent

i would strongly reccomend this product it is very good it is better than wired one because there is no wire simple. but there is a couple of down sides you hav 2 charge it this isn't annoying its just when its charging you cant talk but thats what the wired one is for when your wireless one is charging you can use the wired one plus it only has a 8 metre range but this is good in my case because i'm only 2 metres away from my xbox 360 but overall i would recomment this product to anyone that hates wires (me)

Creative cases really have gone downhill

After forking out £13 + postage for this case, I have to say I'm very disappointed by the quality of the case.
It honestly feels like an item you'd see more at home being sold for a couple of quid at a market than an official item released by Creative.
The Zen fits relatively well into the case, but feels like an item made to accommodate a number of different models of mp3 player, not just the Zen.
You have to do better creative!

Charger is easy to break

I bought this charger, it works/worked fine and had no problems. The connections fit securely.

HOWEVER!

When I plugged it into a power socket that was on, I heard a strange snicking noise. When I tried to use it afterwards it wouldn't charge.

Opened it up and had a look and one of the components was fried!

So overall not a durable little gizmo, but it is cheap I suppose...

If there was a shop with slightly better ones around me then I'd get one. But since there isn't I'll just have to buy another one and not put it in plug sockets that are already on! lol

Well made and practical.

Aside from the hold button issue which can be avoided by sliding the walkman in whilst holding the back away from inside back of case (the leather front will give a little) this case is well designed and protects the walkman very well. I have used it now almost daily for 6 months in a physical work environment which has subjected the walkman and case to a fair few knocks and bumps and being dropped onto metal floors, I am also an avid EQ fiddler so the case and popper fastener has also been well used. There is no fraying edges to the leather and all leather surfaces still feel soft and haven't worn, all stitching is still intact, nothing has come loose and the popper is still secure and its kept my walkman safe and looking new. It does add a fair bit to the thickness of the walkman but little in weight, I would say that sacrifice is easily worth it for the sturdy lasting protection, as is the price.

HDMI bargain

After speaking to friends who got"an absolute bargain HDMI cable for £15", I was a bit dubious about this three quid one.

But I needn't have been. It works brilliantly and it doesn't feel cheap. It is gold plated and feels sturdy. This is the shorter 1 metre cable as I didn't want to add to the mass of wires behind my telly.

I am very impressed with the improved image I now get, and had a geek-out when I saw that by plugging in an HDMI cable I had access to locked menus on my TV! W00T!

Unhappy Chappie

I thought I was buying something special but in fact these have been the worst dvd's I have ever bought. I had an advvertising job which meant producing 30 identical copies and apart from the first one all the others were corrupted so badly they would not play. I contacted the firm directly on two different occasions regarding my problem and they did not even reply.
I then used Infiniti discs on the same project and did not have one fail.
Moral of the story. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT AND THE FIRM!!!

Great little case

This is a great little case for all Sony Camera owners out there. It's soft enough to protect your delicate camera and yet tough enough to protect it from the elements. It does exactly as it says really. I'm curruntly using it for my Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 and have to say it protects it really well, doesn't leave any scratches or marks on the camera at all. It fastens with a velcro tab and has a small zipped compartment on the front for a spare battery or memory card. Overall, a great product and well worth the money. Much better value than other unofficial camera cases available. Plain, simple and good value for money.

Great - but not for iphone (charging)

As per most previous reviews, love the sound quality. I know many have asked about iphone - it will play Iphone (3G), you can control the phone with the remote to skip etc, but it will not charge the iphone. It doesn't seem to suffer from the annoying mobile interference noise (that I have yet noticed). Overall, more than worth the money - gives us a version fully iphone 3G compatible and I'll give you 5 stars :-)

More powerful than the average

I really have noticed that duracell 9 volt batteries last longer and provide more of a shock to my tounge than most 9 volt batteries. They are also hardwearing, not that this is particularly important for a battery, but there are some cheap ones that break basically from falling on the floor! These batteries managed to power a range of electrical appliances in my house, and that is all I`m asking of them. Let`s face it: batteries are basic, and with these ones perfection is almost there. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 was because they are not rechargable - simple as that. Mind you, I wouldn`t spent too much effort trying to buy these online - most good convenience stores stock these, and deffinatley all hardwear shops, so if I were you, I would just get out there and get them by hand.

Good solid earphones.

Iv'e owned some of these for around 3 years now and they still work fine, brilliant biuld quality and strong all round sound performance. Bass is good for standard earbud shape and vocal reproduction is superb when listening to 192k WMA 9.2 files on my Zen vision m. They even seem to hide compression artifacts in MP3's and sound great on my laptop for movies espesially DVD's which naturally suffer from vocal drop out, with these it's simply not an issue. Even windows media player 11 sounds good. What a bargain, since writing this iv'e bought another pair for my laptop, sony's done it again, simply good in every way, theyre what I look for in earphones, comfortable, good all round sound and a nice rubbery cord which helps prevent tangeling

Creative Zen & Nokie N95

I got this as a power charger solution mainly for my Creative Zen Vision M 30gb. Like a lot of things, finding accessories for the creatives is difficult since the market is swamped with ipods and everything seems to be geared towards these.

The powermonkey comes with an adapter for the zen, but it doesnt work due to not enough pins being present so this leads me to believe that adapter is to charge an ipod.

The accessories do include one which fits the sync adapter of the creative zen vision M (the white thing you use to charge it from mains) so it does work - so for those with the same mp3 player as me - this will work for it, you just need to carry the adapter around as the flat adapter doesnt have enough pins.

the other adapters seem to fit everything else and it charges up my nokia n95 just fine. Quite a handy piece of kit to have - and it has more plug adapters than you can shake a stick at.

Excellent - 'does what it says on the tin'

Sennheiser RS130 - Wireless Headphones

Great quality and excellent range - can wear them while outside tinkering in the garage with no break-up or distortion. Very comfortable to wear.

One or two reviews have complained of 'hiss' during pauses. You can virtually irradicate this by turning volume on headset down, and turning up volume on input device.

Recharging system is brilliant too.

small, compact and work well

Logic3 MIP103KB i-Station 3 Speaker System for iPod - Black Great idea, glad I bought the i station. needed the speakers for holidays as battery speakers do not last and sound as good. I am very pleased with the sound and size, as compact and easy to fit in case or medium handbag. used with ipod and CD, both worked well. will take it on every trip I make(long or short). Plug is heavy though. sugest buy it for travel.

Horrible case

I have just received this case for my new 2gen Touch. It will have to go straight back to Amazon as it is of such poor quality in both design and materials. The Touch fits okay, but once in, the flap does not close properly. The leather feels (and smells) like plastic, with sharp edges to the stitching. It feels and looks worth about £5, there could be absolutely no justification in charging the so called retail price...it's horrible!

It's a Sony...it does what it should do and does it well.

I originally bought the Toshiba SDP71S from Amazon, but quickly returned it upon learning that it jumped/skipped with a great many home authored DVD's. The Shinco models looked good, but reading reviews it became apparent that they too struggled with various writeable media. So that left me with one choice as far as I was concerned - Sony - the brand you turn to if you want something to do the job well, and do it for many years without breaking.

The DVPFX720W (W for white) looked a class act the moment I took it from the box. Upon loading a disc I was surprised to notice that despite having the same 480x234 resolution as the Toshiba I had returned, it's display was 1000x better, and also better than the previous portable I had owned, a Bush model. The Sony's clarity, colour and contrast were all FAR superior to any 7inch player I had seen in action - perhaps because of the 12bit video DAC this player uses. The sound from the internal speakers was also better than the models I have used in the past as it utilizes a 96 kHz/24bit audio DAC, but like with any portable player, the small speakers pack relatively little bass...and the sound only ever comes into its own on these machines via the use of headphones - and with headphones, especially good quality ones, the sound is very powerful and bassy. DivX and Xvid playback was a dream - I loaded a DVD-RW with 3 DivX films and 3 Xvid films and the machine quickly loaded all six to allow me to choose which I watched first, and all played through without incident. The unit limits the name of DivX/Xvid files to 14 characters in length, but the Toshiba I returned limited them to only 8 characters...so that was also an improvement on what I'm used to. I then tried the full range of DVD+/-R/RW and all played back without incident...happy days! The battery EASILY makes its 5 hours advertised usage when you turn the backlight down and use headphones. The battery is also better than those with my previous players as it doesn't stick out of the back like a sore thumb, but rather attaches perfectly flat to the bottom of the unit...so as not to increase the overall footprint. Note that a five hour capacity takes a five hour charge.

As regards accessories, the Sony DVPFX720 comes with: A 5 hour Li-Poly battery, AC mains cable, 12v car cable charger, AV in/out cable and the obligatory remote control. No carry case/mounting straps or headphones like you get with some brands, but then again other brands don't put all the expense into the actual main device like Sony has here. [Note that Amazon sell portable DVD carry cases with car mounting straps if you really need one]. The outside white sections of the player are made of metal, and the gloss finish is utterly beautiful...quite what you'd expect from Sony. The embossed silver Sony logo on the top completes a very elegant look. On the side there are 2x headphone inputs, an optical audio out socket (optical mini jack adapter needed) and a switchable AV input/output socket. This will allow you to connect the player to a larger screen TV, or monitor output from your other AV devices on the player's small screen, depending on the player's input/output switch position. On the other side of the unit there is a USB input - sadly the manual only states that this is for MP3 and JPEG use....not for DivX files, which is a great shame, as that would have been incredibly handy. I will not be deducting points from the overall score for that, though, as the player's pluses far outweigh this one niggle - and I never even knew it had a USB input until I got it. Overall I think the player fully deserves its five shiny stars. Just buy it.....I can assure you, you will not regret it.

Beware of fake versions

Have had nightmare over the last few months.In a nutshell-beware of counterfeit versions on Amazon.I find it hard to believe how amazon allow these kind of people to do business on their website. Whilst under the impression that mine were genuine they did go faulty after a few months.Seller on amazon didnt want to know as 90 had passed, as a result I sent them to Bose - only to find out they werent genuine.since Bose have held onto them - not only have I been coned but Ive also been without earphones for 3 months which is very frustrating! HAve been messed around with both seller and amazon.Moral of the story is?...Pay the full price in order to ensure genuine earphones...

Cracking little unit

I bought this system to replace a similar one by an inferior make (iSymphony) and it's exactly what I wanted. It has great sound, although I'm not using the speakers that came with it, it's connected through my AV system. Unlike the previous system I had there is no audible buzzing noise when the power is turned on which is why I needed a new unit. The CD turntable is silent which is another bonus.

As for the DAB aerial issue (see other reviews) I found the supplied length of wire gave me perfect reception for 5Live, Planet Rock etc by just running it straight up the wall in some trunking.

If you have an iPod and are looking for a unit to dock it into in order to play tracks and charge the player at the same time you will be more than happy with this system - and it's a good price too! I found the remote is easy to use as the controls for using the iPod are exactly the same as on the player, it's just a wheel system with a button in the middle.

Simple, stylish and not expensive. Got to be a winner!
